What about the PSTV, in terms of easiest/hardest platforms to play it on? I'm playing through 1st one on my PSTV (no Vita :( ) and I can't use the touch controls at all cause it just takes too long.

Just read the new Game Informer and saw two games I never heard of ( Hellblade & What Remains of Edith Finch ). I'm 99.9% sure they were probably mentioned in this thread but I missed it.

Anyways I'm going to have to grab both of those. Read the articles and looked up gameplay on YT looks like my type of games. 2016 is going to be so good.

 
i'm considering the order 1886, evolve, and rabbids invasion

i know the opinion seems to be mixed on the first two games, but what about rabbids invasion?

the youtube vids i saw makes it look interesting, anybody here play it?

I loved the order 1886 and hoping for DLC to continure playing, but I would wait until it drops more.

I loved the order but I say rent it as it can be beat in a day or weekend sitting.

I feel like all I'm doing is asking PS TV questions, sorry guys. 1 more:

If I use a DS4 controller for it, how will it differentiate between that and my PS4 if they are close by? Will I need to unplug one or the other each time?

Aren't they paired...? I don't have a PS4, but I had to pair my DS4 with my Vita TV with a cord.

You can only pair the controller to one console at a time. You'll have to re-pair every time you switch consoles.

That's really what sold it for me. I've put in some time on it with the Vita, but seeing it on a bigger screen and it still being decent resolution-wise, I decided to keep it. Or rather, return my used one and get in on the Groupon deal. Pair up the crappy Sixaxis that came with my old 60GB as a dedicated controller.

I love the remote ducky as well, and while I agree with the premise, Statue #3 is pretty badass.

 
So... I haven't turned on my PS4 in a couple weeks and I'm having trouble getting it working.

Turned it on and it pulsed blue.  Turned it off and checked the connections.  Since then it turns on white but doesn't display anything.  Tried safe mode and still no output.

Happens all the time for me. Pull the power cord out and put it back in. That is the only way I was able to get it to work.

 
I've sometimes had to turn it off for a few minutes or pull the plug for more than a few minutes. Last time i had to do it several times and nothing. I unplugged it and let it go for an hour or so and when i came back it finally worked.

This bugs me. Thinking about upgrading to a newer system since mine is out of warranty
 
Well, the white light means that there is no video. Nothing wrong with the system (or is it?) So, the way I go about and so far it has worked for me is to puill the HDMI cable out, put the power chord out and them put them back again.

Typically, I have had problems when I put the system in rest mode - the video never comes back again, Powering it off and letting it cool down usually fixes the problem.

Is your system a launch one? Sounds like the problem some people were having with their HDMI port. If thats the issue theres some pins that are bent near the bottom of your port... im trying to find a picture of it

Take a good look see if you have the bent pin problems. If so you can hopefully bend them back in place but some of the stuff i read indicates that that may just be a temp fix

According to Sony white light means everything is fine with the system and its powered on. So it should be outputting video but it's not. No change booting into safe mode so it's not a random resolution issue. If the HDMI was damaged or there's a problem with a connection the system is supposed to pulse blue. Just sitting there with a white light is about the least helpful thing it could do.
 
Can I just say I don't like how consoles are complex as PCs now? They're literally PCs. If you had an NES giving you trouble, chances are blowing on the cartridge or changing the connector pin (really easy) was all it took to get her working.

When I get bored of my current games, I'm going to seriously look into getting a Sega Saturn instead of the current crop. I'd love to get my hands on an arcade-perfect X-Men vs. Street Fighter.

The symptoms are exactly like mine but the disease seems to be different.

I hate that a practically brand new system (depending on when you bought it) would have weird technicalities like these.

You probably already power cycled the system? checked that the hdmi cable/port is not the culprit? The output at ps4's end may be fine but the tv may be jacked? No?

Sorry dude I am trying to throw everything I can think off, at this point. Try doing the MS way, where you disconnect everything wait for 5-10 minutes and connect everything back again.
 
Sounds like you need to reset your HDMI inputs on your tv. Unplug the tv power cable from the tv wait a minute and then plug everything back in.

Tried all the usual suspects, all that stuff, letting it sit unplugged and same end result.
