is anyone else having issues with their inventory; i.e. not tradeable or marketable.  I do not seem to be able to trade at this moment.  (have been card trading w/ mobile this whole sale)

The holiday card prices are going up and down a lot. People are offloading the cards as fast as they can since they'll vanish in less than 24 hours.

Since I can't trade today's farmed alt cards (the trade will go through after they expire) I may just turn them into gems. The question is - will the gem prices go up as the cards are closer to expiration, or will they remain the same up until the end?

Edit: AHAHAHAHAHAHA of course I get a foil in an alt today. OF COURSE.

I meant again. Dude said the game runs fine after he ranted about how it gives you cancer so I'm sure he'll blow another gasket after he gets done downloading Poopees FLACs and digital scratch and sniff stickers from deluxe edition games.

Well the reasonable thing to do would be to leave the cards up for another day or so grace period so people can get their trades done. But Valve never think of shit because they really don't use their own damned site. Plus they are trying to force everyone to use the mobile auth which is a real pain in the ass.

Just to make sure I understand this...

You can send a gift immediately (which could easily be a $80 game) but you cannot do a trade for a 5 cent digital card for 3 days...? (how does this make sense to anyone?)

B/c Steam Support (or lack thereof).

Also...it makes sense trades would now work on Valve Time, just like everything else Steam + Valve does.

I think this is the first Steam sale where I've bought absolutely nothing. I have about $30 in card money so I might buy something between now and tomorrow just for the hell of it, but what I don't know.

By far my least involved sale ever. I had/have money, I was willing to spend, but ended up not doing much at all. The few things I was interested in I just could not pull the trigger. Be it an enormous backlog, more interest in things that are upcoming, or the lack of any really strong deals. Really a combination of everything. Oh well. There's a few cheapies I'm tempted to just grab in one final swoop, but every one of them are bundle candidates lol.

Haul:

Assassin's Creed Syndicate Season Pass (uplay version): $16 and some change from Direct 2 Drive.

- I bought Elite Dangerous and refunded it (for the 2nd time lol). I just cant see myself getting too deeply involved in Euro Truck Simulator in Space despite the fact its a really beautiful game.

I'm really interested in seeing how this sale compared to other Steam seasonal sales of the past in terms of totals. Even my friends list which tends to go batty throughout sales seemed to be buying less. The lack of participation just sapped any interest from me. A Steam sale is now no different from an Amazon list or other boring storefront sale.

 
Not sure what to make out of the activity on my friends list. I mean Blade really burned it up. Overall though, I didn't see anywhere near the hauls roll through the Activity feed.

I spent less than $20 this sale -- less than 1/6 of what I've spent in the past. I scoured my wishlist and everything either looks like either:

  1. Bundle Fodder
  2. Overpriced AAA

On a positive note, I did play almost everything I bought.

My activity feed was definitely slower than usual and a lot of it was just buying every nineteen cent crap game but some people did seem to find something.
