Amazon 

Amazon tends to offer lower everyday prices on their anime, and often run sales on Funimation items routinely. Keep track on your favorites or check your daily deal's for a possible 5% off of some based off your history on Amazon. 

(Also, I'd also recommend to check out Amazon's top 100 deals in Anime Bluray/DVD as they tend to show what's popular, or what is on sale.)

Known by many for their bad customer service, they often make up for it with their lower prices on a lot of their items. This and they routinely run sales specifically for anime.

I highly suggest when you order from them to only order in stock items, and not ones that are backordered. Save yourself the displeasure of having to deal with the headaches. And patience is a must with these sites.

The banner makes it seem like a lot of them are on clearance, but in the end, only 4 titles, but still a great deal for those that never got in on these deals at Fry's awhile back.  Quantities are limited, so probably the last clearance of these titles.

But what else should I order for free shipping? I've got those and Iria, but still need $11. Or pay $5 shipping. I can't find anything that I won't find cheaper elsewhere.

Fantastic prices. Makes me feel pretty bad I spent $30~ on GuP(DVD) when it first came out. Granted it's one of my favorite shows, but damn if I knew it was gonna take such a huge dunk in price, would've given it a second thought. I've yet to get it on bluray but I'm going to hold out in the off chance that Sentai can do a rerelease with Katyusha done properly. Maybe it'll be 200 years in the future but I can wait.

A word of warning, there's some nasty compression on the fate/kaleid. It's just not really dvd quality with artifacts here and there. Also the dub is a mixed bag. Ilya sounds like a 40 year old smoker. But I like their take on Ruby. While I'm on the dub topic, GuP's Saori and Momo-chan are both fantastic and measure up well to their japanese counterparts. The rest of the cast is kind of mediocre. No particularly bad ones though.

If you can't find anything else, might as well get a duplicate of one you own or already ordering. You're gonna spend the $5 anyway so might as well get something you can give as a gift. Or maybe grab a manga at msrp.

I decided to finally pick up 2nd Gig since I haven't heard anything about a domestic blu-ray release. I got the marvel collection so I can get rid the individual movies. I'm trying to condense my collection. It's too bad they didn't have the FMA: Brotherhood collections. I would like to pick those up so I can sell off the individual parts.

They had the first one in stock last night, but that one also sold out last night too not long after the code went live, so yeah...

Anyway, I also picked up Power Rangers Dino Charge Volume 1 and Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated Season 1. Was hoping to get Pokémon XY set 2 but it was OOS.

EDIT: Made a 2nd Order for some Naruto manga I missed. Got 63-68. Sadly did not have the final 4 volumes in stock.

The main thing I'm watching gohastings for is the second mobile suit gundam blu-ray collection.  I got the first on sale from rightstuf over the holidays, but they didn't put the second part on sale as well.  I have a feeling it will be a while before I pick that up.

Stop giving me ideas! Now I wanna pick up the gunslinger girl omnibuses that I'm missing. Are the manga from gohastings usually in good condition?

As long as they're not older releases, they're generally in great condition. So stuff like older Tokyopop titles, and what not, might be a different story because the finishing on the covers can be easily scuffed, ripped, etc. Viz manga I've received from them have always been great, so if that's the direction you're going. Also have ordered some Kodansha titles from them, and those have been good too.

I don't usually pick up manga from there (that $3.99 shipping on the first book is painful) but the few that I've gotten have been good.

Just order more manga to offset that first book. That's what I always do. ;D

Plus, with 50% off currently it shouldn't be as bad, although, buying cheaper manga is usually better during the free shipping promos, so I'd say do some calculations between the two.

It's still a good deal even with the shipping in many cases, but just depends on the particular ones you're looking to get that may be more beneficial during a different sale.

 
Yup....I'm finally done with the GoHastings sale today. Made out with quite a bit of loot:

Combined with my previous orders the past two weeks I think I have picked up just about 25 shows from GoHastings  :D/

 
so with the grab bags... the girls, boys, fantasy heroes and tiger and bunny are in stock.

since they are closing and it was fun unwrapping stuff I placed another order for a girls boys and fantasy heroes lol.

it was 7 pounds with just 2 this time it will be like a 10 pound box.

I might take pictures of what I got later, as I need to eventually sell like half of it :p

as MOEBLOBS HAVE NO BUSINESS IN MY PLACE.

I wish I knew about the Hastings sale earlier. I could have gotten Pokemon Indigo League while it was still in stock.

Also, FYE isn't great with prices in my experience. I rarely buy anything from them these days.
 
FYE/SecondSpin occasionally has decent deals, but nowhere near Hastings. The prices aren't all that great unless they do one of their B1G1 for $2 or B2G1 Free sales.

What time does GoHastings restock and is it the same as when coupons go live? I thought it was 1 AM Eastern but I checked last night and there was no coupon and no restock...

I probably would have picked up the AKB0048 blus if they were $5 or $7.50. :*(

These sales were definitely better than all of the entire holiday sales from last year at RS. ~_~

Man, this is sad. I just found out about them and they're closing already. Granted everything was overpriced and cheaper to import from amiami. But I like the idea of more japanese companies having a domestic presence.

 
Jumped on the AKB0048 blu-rays before I found out that they apparently didn't sub the songs which are pretty frequent in the show. :/

Trade locked in at amazon for 59.51 >.>b

 
The next FUNi Premium Edition is apparently Eden of the East. I'm perfectly fine with my OG thinpak set, so I'll pass. And given how cheap it is to get the series and movies, I highly doubt all the art cards, patches, certificates, papercraft, and stickers are worth it.

I loved this show and I'll be very glad to be able to pick this up in a nice collector's edition package, and then get rid of my mismatched BD sized series + 2x dvd sized movie boxes.
