Anybody know anything about how the fatal frames play on a ps3? I read that some of them are glitchy because of the emulator ps2 program used to play them. Any confirmation about this? I loved silent hill 1/2/3, and old school resident evils, and never got the chance to play the infamous fatal frame series. But if the games wont run smooth on ps3, then I will just pass.

I think at least FF2 had some major glitches (things like missing textures, etc) when first released, but it was fixed long ago.

LIGHTS, CAMERA, PARTY! has a PSN store glitch/error that charges you twice to download this PS3 game (this shouldn't apply to those that have already downloaded the game's FREE demo version). I filed my complaint via customer service chat and have a case pending refund approval in 3 - 5 days. He said that he informed his boss about this issue (but the glitch/error still hasn't been corrected).

I think they've forgotten to include the original FREE game demo in the FULL GAME UNLOCK listed for $1.49 under the current flash sale. I bought the game and the bonus content and it wouldn't appear on my PS3 after I downloaded them. If you sign back into the store and look for the FREE demo, it lists it for $1.49 (instead of purchased). You add this to your cart and checkout, it will charge you again (following the "advice" of customer service), but this time you get FULL GAME added to your download list. Incidentally, if you go back to the PSN store it will show the game listed for $1.49 instead of purchased.

that's weird

thanks for the info

If any game on this list warrants a purchase, it's Deadly Premonition. Probably one of the best games I have ever played. If you're a fan of Twin Peaks then this game is the closest you'll ever get to a Twin Peaks video game. I don't even think if they come out with an official Twin Peaks video game it will be as good as Deadly Premonition...

grew up on twin peaks and picket fences

only have around 50gig left of my 500gig hd and I don't intend to upgrade it. I think that 11gig file size might stop me from buying it

some of the gameplay footage triggered nostalgia and some is ehhhhhhh

I bought Lights, Camera, Party! in the sale last night, and both the demo and the unlock were added to my download list fine. Just installed it (along with the DLC that I also bought on sale) this morning, and everything installed with no problems.

Also, I went to the PSN store to check, and the game shows up as purchased for me. I didn't even see a full demo listed, just the game and the DLC.

Sounds like it might have been a glitch with your specific purchase, not a universal glitch with the game in the store.

It could be due to the fact that I updated the PSN store on my PS3, after I downloaded the games I purchased via PC, it may be reason that it didn't install the games correctly. Next time I'll update the PSN store first and then download the flash sale game purchases.

But I'm still confused that it appears as two separate downloads (FULL GAME and FULL GAME UNLOCK). The game will download but it won't install without the demo version (FULL GAME), so the game icon won't appear under games. That's why I contacted customer service.

Just a warning if you get either of the Capcom Mega Packs that include Commando 3, I don't think it is functional anymore.  They broke it with a system update a few years back and the game was never fixed.  It is a shame because it is a fun little game that reminds me of Smash TV/Total Carnage with decent toon style graphics (which Commando and MERCS/Commando 2 had a more realistic style).

thanks for the info, I bought the 10 dollar one but mainly for the hd games

Ya...could be a web store issue. I had a weird web store issue once where I "bought" all the PS+ games for one month, and none of them showed up in my download list on the web store on PC and don't show as purchased there (and if I tried to purchase them again, it gave me an error). Yet they show up as purchased and are in my download list on my consoles...so the web store does seem to have some weird glitches.

Just FYI, when I bought it directly through the PS3, it gave me both the game "demo" and the "full game unlock" files. No "full game" file.

Browsing the internet and comments around different sites and I see a lot of bitching and moaning about this sale.

Perhaps I am in the minority or they just happened to choose my type of games but I loved this flash sale and got a crap ton of games across all types of genres and on two different consoles.

Or maybe I am just old and don't feel entitled to exactly what I want precisely when I want it

Either way I think it's a top notch sale

Bought Swapper, and took a flyer on $1 Explodemon because I really liked Curve Digital's other game Stealth Inc. from the previous flash sale.  Also, highly recommend Alice Madness Returns!

Actually, I think it still works as long as you avoid the game update patch. No online play/leaderboards, but the game will still function.

If you look at my replies, though, I bought the game last night through my ps3, and everything was fine. Both the game demo and full game unlock were added to my download list like normal...installed it today. So it looks more like an issue with sekihan's PC web store purchase than any actual issue with the game/files on the store.

I believe they've been cheaper. This isn't the best price to buy them.
Thanks for the heads up on Neptunia prices. I checked and both Rebirth 1 and 2 hit $6 last year. The first game was at that price three separate times. Maybe it hits that price again for Golden Week so I'll wait it out.

I'm on the fence about Code Realize only because I think it might better to buy physical so that I can sell it when I'm done or rent it as I don't expect that I would go back to the game once I'm done unless I really happened to love it. Same for Norn9. And they're both less than a year old so I can see them going cheaper digitally as well.

PC store lists the game for $1.49 while the PS3 store now lists it as download. I wonder if they've been trying to fix the issue. Checked my download list and it correctly shows the last one as a Demo not FULL GAME according to my email receipt.

Lol, I tried checking out on my PS3 and got the same error.

I have absolutely no idea why I can't checkout. I have 5 different payment methods, and I've tried them all. 40 times I've tried to check out with four PS3 games and two PSP games. The only thing I can think of is that I have $0.63 in store credit and am trying to pay for the remaining $5.31 with another payment type. It wouldn't surprise me if Sony did that absolutely shitty, underhanded bullshit of making me buy a $10 card instead of being able to pay the exact amount. fuck you, Sony.

SoT not being included was a real bummer

maybe we will luck out and it ends up on one of the tuesday sales sometime soon

I am pleased they are still having some good sales on some ps3 titles.  I would have thought they would have stopped caring to have any sales for it by now, but there must still be a huge base.

It sure seems like people sell their older systems and move on a lot.

I never sell a working console or get rid of games. I don't need or want every game but I try to always have the most popular/ personal favorites/ and cult classics of every system dating back to NES

Whether it is little nemo dream master, goldeneye, or vice city I never know when I wanna kick it old school by myself or with friends and it's nice to be able to do that.

I must not be alone which is nice to see

Ramon: I see. In this case, I will need you to follow some steps. First of all, I need you to remove your credit cards and PayPal account from your PSN account. Then, I need you to wait 24 hours since the system to process a payment on PSN is locked because you have many missed charges. Once the 24 hours has been passed, I need you to enter your billing information again and try to purchase in website of the store in your computer. Here is the link https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/home/games

Ramon: However, in order to be able to purchase in the sale, you can try to use another payment method. Do you know about PSN cards?
THANKS A LOT, PLAYSTATION DICKBAGS. I ALWAYS WANTED TO BUY AN EXCESS OF FUNDS JUST TO BUY A FEW GAMES.

Done with this bs.

Weird. Sounds similar to the weirdness I mentioned with the PS+ games not showing up in my download list or as "purchased" on the PC web store (but showing as "purchased" and appearing in my download lists on my ps3/vita) that one time. Possibly some random web store glitch? When did you buy and try to download it?

On my receipt, it says "LIGHTS, CAMERA, PARTY! (Full Game)"... And the files it added to my download list are "LIGHTS, CAMERA, PARTY! Demo" and "LIGHTS, CAMERA, PARTY! Full Game Unlock". Basically the same as any other game purchase with no issues for me.

Is there ANY way to get just a buck worth of PSN monies? I'm not going to buy $5 just for Fatal frame 3

You tried 5 payment methods but you didn't think about buying a PSN card from Amazon? They're digital codes instantly e-mailed to you. In fact, as soon as you confirm the purchase, you can view your code on the page right there.

The problem is the games he wants to buy are under $10 total, so he doesn't want to pay more than he needs to. It's understandable, I hate paying for more credit than I'll use.

Nice deals, especially on PS3.  Picked up R-Type Dimensions, the Fatal Frame trilogy, and decided to give Monster Monpiece a shot for $2.  Fun card game beneath all the weirdness.

Yeah, you should be able to add the exact amount, even if it's under $5. Even Nintendo gets this stuff better than Sony. (Not to mention all the problems with the store; I didn't have any problems checking out this time, but my wishlist never works anymore.)

Shit especially sucks when you you're like $0.15 short and you have to buy $5 just to order what you want.

It would be nice if you could buy $1, $2, $3, etc PSN codes like how MStore.com sells the XBL codes. Xbox also let you pay the rest off with paypal or CC which also nice.

Anyone played Of Orcs and Men?  I have Styx, but never got into it. The reviews seem a little low, but it looks like something I might like.

Here are the freebies for the games in the Flash Sale:
