Is it me or the sales on the European PSN have been way better in the last few weeks. Although they tend to last longer (around 15 days) the variety is much bigger. I might be just me, as I'm not a fan of franchise or publisher themed sales.

I dunno I have been buying like crazy for (it seems like) many weeks here in N/A

I have about 160 put into xbox and ps just this week.

I really gotta stop though I am buying ridiculous amounts of stuff and I finish about 1-3 games a year so I have enough to last till 4073

and now that Trump has just about locked up the nom I only have till the end of 2016 aka the world to finish playing what I have

The removal of the digital rights to Amplitude may (this is purely conjecture) have to do with licensing agreements between Harmonix and the music publishers. They may have to pay a percentage for each download and could be on the hook for actual money to the publishers instead of just losing out on potential theoretical sales. If a lot of people took advantage of the glitch, it could be a sizable chunk of change that they can't afford. The rights removal could be a way to appease the music publishers, and may not be a new Sony policy on price glitches.

I didn't get the game in the glitch, so this is just a general discussion for me not a complaint.

I think Sony's on the right that they take away the license, I didn't pay for it and it was not meant to be got at $0. The issue I have is ( not with Sony, just the digital rights part) that the situation is analogous to knowing the property owner being able to get into your apartment any time of their choosing but not actually entering without you knowing. I'd like to see these companies letting me know that I dont "own" the title and so they're going to take a way my license (in an hour/day/month/whatever). I did not steal it...if you think I stole it lets take the legal route, right.

By stealth removing it you are implying that I stole the contents. Again, not saying Sony is wrong (people go anal when I say such blasphemy) just saying that the process could be more transparent. This applies to Sony, Apple, Steam...not to MS. I'd be happy not getting banned. You have to say, "Did me a favor there MS, thank you." and get the fuck outta there.

I don't think they're implying anything. If anything, a formal letter explaining why a game was being removed from your account sounds like they're implying you stole it. Most people aren't even going to notice it was removed since, frankly, this game didn't get a lot of attention or have a lot of demand to begin with. For sure, they would have gotten a lot of complaints to the letter. Just remember what happened when some of PSN's "best customers" got a free $10 voucher.

...
I didn't either. I was kinda thinking along the lines of my conjecture and didn't want to screw Harmonix. I like them, still have both Frequency and Amplitude PS2 discs and all of the PS3 Rock Band titles. I will eventually buy the PS4 Amplitude (when it goes on sale, my love only goes so far).

For what I played of Amplitude I liked the game, but could not get into the songs at all so I stopped playing it.  I wouldn't have noticed they had taken it back unless it had crossed my list

I understand not honoring pricing errors, but taking back an item after the transaction is complete is kinda worrying.  What if they decide to do the same thing with those PS+ cross buy games that became free in perpetuity (like Hotline Miami and Resogun)?

Digital licenses have been like this since forever. As some who bought DRM music in the early 2000s and then losing access to them when the DRM authorization servers closed, tough.

Except the transaction was for an Amplitude demo, not the full game, but it was glitched so that they got the full game instead. They didn't take away legitimate purchases.

With the Zen Pinball SW tables, does it matter if I buy the ones marked as Zen Pinball 2 vs. those marked as the standalone Star Wars Pinball? Do the tables work in both? My preference is for everything in the ZP2 client, but if one unlocks in everything and the other doesn't, I want the way that gives me the most.

For the Marvel Pinball client, I believe you had to buy the Marvel versions to get both. For the Star Wars ones, I buy the Star Wars versions just in case and it does unlock both the SW and ZP2 versions. Not sure if it works the other way on those.

It doesn't matter as long as you purchase either the PS3 or Vita versions of those packs/tables.

You get five versions of each pack as long as you don't buy it on PS4, which is why I don't link to the PS4 versions above.

You get the tables for the standalone Star Wars Pinball platform on PS3 and Vita along with the Zen Pinball 2 platform for PS4, PS3, and Vita. Five sets of each table with their own unique set of trophies.

I'll be adding this info to the OP when I add that stuff in a bit. Sorry for not having in there when I posted the list.
Also ... once you purchase/complete your collection of all 5 packs/tables on PS3, then the "Star Wars™ Pinball Season 1 Bundle" on PS4 will show as "Purchased" as well, thus making your packs/tables a 6-way cross-buy. I previously had 3/5 of the packs/tables previously purchased via Zen Pinball from long ago, and purchased the last 2 (TFA, Rebels) in Zen last night, so there's the proof that Zen instantly converts the SWP packs/tables to "licensed".

It's not 6-way. The PS4 bundle is just a bundle of the Zen Pinball 2 tables you get with the other packs since there's no standalone Star Wars Pinball game on PS4 like there is on PS3 or Vita.

i have a ps3 question. can i take out the hd from my ps3 slim and put it in a ps3 super slim and continue playing? my ps3 slim blu ray died.

If your old PS3 still boots, you can do a full backup in the system settings to an external hard drive. Then on the new use the restore from backup, and your new PS3 will be a clone of the old.

To note, you'll need an external HDD, preferably one larger then your PS3.

If your new super slim doesn't have a HDD, after the backup, install the HDD in the new PS3 (you'll then have to download the firmware to a thumb drive to get the OS restored, the new PS3 will wipe the HDD).

Your probably looking at a day of the backup and restore since the PS3 only has usb 2.0

A crude answer, but I'm also up at 3am. Hate it when I can't fall asleep.

I used to love hunting games as far back as the original deer hunter and original oregon trail before that

Now I just play far cry games to hunt

I just bought Crypt of the Necrodancer a few minutes ago since I think the sale on that one ends today. I've heard good things about the Steam version, but a rhythm game needs controller support, which is why I went with the PS4/Vita version. And it's cross-buy! :D

I want it but I think the price is too high for me

You sound a little like me talking to my kids about playing Delta Force for 5 years before all this Call of Duty stuff came out. That was my military game series of choice. Now the games are all about wall running, impossible jumps, crazy tech and so on. The original version of The Oregon Trail is the 1971 version... which came out and was deleted before I was born. Thankfully the creator saved the source code and was able to bring it back in 78 and the popular AppleII version in 1979. That was the first version I played (sometime in the 80's at the Public Library and eventually at school) and it was awesome. I loved a lot of those old AppleII/IIe games.

...

As for Amplitude getting removed from people that were able to take advantage of the store glitch ... I don't see that as a problem. I passed up taking advantage of that glitch just because my account is worth more to me than getting some random game on a glitch. When they start taking games I paid money to buy out of my library, then I'll throw up my arms in protest.

I LOVED delta force and have barely ever played a COD game

as for the glitch I'm new to forums so I got caught up in the excitement and did it. I shouldn't have done it and am glad it was removed from being playable on PS4 I also intend to buy the game to make things right. I'm glad they didn't ban any accounts and I will not be taking advantage of any glitches in the future. Amplitude was my first and last

I bought it too and the game is great but super challenging. I have finished zone 1 so far but the difficulty rises high in zone 2. Still trying to figure out the new enemy patterns. It also has cross save which is great.

The shopkeeper is amazing!

Has anyone heard the installed size of UC4? Got some chopping to do.

Game is getting amazing reviews. Can't wait until Tuesday!

Why does the free LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens theme on PS3 tell me "You are not eligible to purchase or download this content."? I have a fuck ing PS3! The PS4 'purchased' no problem.
