Maybe this has been discussed recently, but I know in the past I have not fully grasped the nuances with the Zen Pinball/SW Pinball cross-buy.

I am missing 2 of the SW tables on sale right now. If I buy them for PS4 do I get them on Vita/PS3? Also, if I buy them for Zen Pinball do I get them in SW Pinball?

Hope someone can answer this thanks.

Buy them for either the PS3 or Vita and they will be cross-buy. They will be playable in Zen Pinball 2 and the Star Wars stand alone version. Does not matter which version (ZP2 or SW) you purchase.

Ok so to play the two tables/packs on the following systems:

-Zen Pinball 2 PS3
-Zen Pinball 2 PS4
-Zen Pinball 2 PSV
-Star Wars Pinball PS3
-Star Wars Pinball PSV

-Star Wars Pinball PS4 (this doesn't exist though right?)

All I need to do is buy the two tables for PS3 OR PSV and I'll get them on the 5 (or 6 is SW Pinball exists for PS4)? Just making sure I understand correctly.

I had a helluva time figuring out how to get all the tables on my ps4 (went fine for ps4)

I had to redownload a buncha times and there was some weird purchasing stuff and I couldn't get some to download etc etc

no Idea why I had so many issue with ps3 but I think I ended up getting everything on both ps3 and ps4

was a weird experience for me

Here are the details I posted earlier and edited your list to what versions you get for each table. There's no such thing as Star Wars Pinball on PS4, as they all just play in the Zen Pinball 2 client.

Sometimes when purchasing the PS3 or Vita versions the PS4 versions were not automatically purchased also, but the PS4 versions showed as 'Free' in the PS Store and all I had to do was "purchase" those at no cost.

This time (buying the Force Awakens pack) all versions were purchased and added to the download list.

yeah that happened to me and I had to go through everything a few times

I did have to purchase the free versions after purchasing them the first time

confused me for a while but I think I got it, I had never played zen pinball before and I'm not much of a star wars fan but I LOVE the game and those tables after trying them and I look forward to other tables going cheap eventually

Sorry. Fixed.
Thanks. I wonder why buying them on PS4 causes an issue. I assume this applies to all the Zen Pinball tables not just the SW ones. I'll have to commit that to memory. Thanks again :).

I went through Zen Pinball on my PS4 and PSV and Star Wars Pinball on my Vita and all but 1 table is there (Sorcerer's Lair is on PS4 but not Vita, but I don't care too much about that one so).

On the topic of Pinball:

Having bought the Force Awakens pack, I now own all the tables for ZP2 PS3/Vita/PS4 except the new Alien pack, all the tables for SWP PS3/Vita, and all the tables for Marvel Pinball PS3. I also own Season 1 and 2 for Pinball Arcade PS3/Vita/PS4.

I like to play pinball here and there in between other games as a palate cleanser, on the Vita while watching sports, time waster, etc. but my major motivation to keep playing is beating the scores on the friends leader board. Right now I'm down to a few I need to beat on ZP2 PS4 and a few on Pinball Arcade PS3/Vita (sadly the PS4 Pinball Arcade has no friends leader board, makes it almost useless to me).

I would like to add more friends to keep it fresh, hoping that many of my scores would be broken and re-broken.

So, if you want to have some friendly pinball leader board competition, feel free to add me (PSN: chipzilla).

I'd guess it was some sort of licensing thing that keeps the tables from being fully Cross Buy between all three platforms, as the same is also true for the Xbox One versions of those tables.

There was some sort of issue with their ability to bring the older tables to the PS4 client at launch, as they were only going to bring 20 tables over to PS4 and the rest would just stay on PS3/Vita for the foreseeable future. They finally brought the rest over seven months later, which still had the same caveat of not going from PS4 to PS3/Vita.

Anyone else having a problem when trying to install SW Pinball? I'm getting error c2-12383-7 whenever it tries to install the demo. It downloaded and installed fine to ZP2, just won't download and install this... Any help is appreciated.

It's not with the app, the problem is actually when it tries to install the game after downloading the demo. Very confusing.

The Nioh Alpha is officially over as of 3:00 AM CST. You can enjoy the beautiful title screen and music but that is it. I was having a blast playing, I cannot wait till it is released! The atmosphere and combat is amazing, so addicting. Im gonna miss my little Kodoma buddies.

Attention CAG's in the Pacific Northwest of the USA ... once again, Fred Meyer has a "save $10/20/30 off $50/100/150" savings certificate between this Thurs (5/5) to Sat (5/7).  Unfortunately there's no stackable coupon for PSN credit (aka VG accessories), but that's still 20% off ... AND ... there's a coupon for 10% off VG software, meaning you could save approx. 28% off a $50 game.  Go here for details & coupon images, or head to the top of the thread for FAQ's: https://www.cheapassgamer.com/topic/347660-sticky-fred-meyers-coupons-valid-upon-xbox-playstation-gcs/?p=13317640

Futuridium EP was a fun little game (that I have on mobile) but am shocked to see it even get a limited pressing. Shocked that it made enough money to afford to do so.

The Prison Architect devs have put up a survey to get some outside thoughts for the final release of the game:

Has anyone tried Invisible Inc? I'm jonesing for some XCOM style action and I really want to pick it up.
I know im a dirty whore for even thinking about buying it full price.

I bought and like it, but it's VERY challenging. Took me way too many turns to finish the first mission. Basically you can't play it metal gear style knocking out every guard because they wake up after three turns. Also each turn causes the alarm level to rise which only adds to the difficulty. I stopped playing it only because the text is so damn small that even on a 42in tv I have to squint. I'm hoping they patch the text size soon.

Anyone have thoughts on Pumped BMX+?

It looks like a Trials kinda game (which I like) and is in the right price range (< $5) with three-way cross buy. But it seems to be a mobile port (which are hit and miss) and gets mostly 'eh' reviews.

I'll probably bite, unless?

Anybody recommend Prototype? I was thinking of grabbing the :ps4: version for $11.xx. I played it back in the day for like 5 minutes. I did beat 2 already. I'm trying to see if it's worth it and something that should be played or if it's a "you can live without ever playing it" type of game.

I have no personal experience with it, but I've heard bad things about the PS4 version. With all of the awesome stuff coming out over the next few months, I think you could live without it, or at least wait for a price drop closer to $5.

Meh. All DICE trailers are awesome, until release date... then you realize how much of a buggy mess their games are and how much it takes for them to fix them.

Damn sounds like another crappy remaster/port from Activision, that's a shame. Thanks, $5 and below or never.

I grabbed the ps3 version of the first because it's old and there wasn't dlc to worry about

I grabbed number 2 for ps4

you can live without prototype games they don't bring anything to the table other games haven't done better

When Anti-Hero/Super-Heroes open world games come to the table, the unbeaten champion for me is still Infamous 2. Second Son looked damn fantastic but the story was a bit meh.

Activision's choice of remasters are only due to easy money they think they'll get instead of there being passion and demand for these games. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is the first legit remaster that they've done this gen so far.

I think Im just going to say screw it a pick up Prototype 2 on PS4. Looks pretty fun, and it should be an easy platinum (for those interested).

Seriously. Any help is appreciated. Spent over an hour on chat with Sony to no avail other than to call in. I just got off the phone with them. Another 45 minutes with nothing to show for it other than "I have no idea. You should contact the game company."

Have you googled the error? I saw a few possibilities:

Thanks for the info. I spent a good portion of last night and today researching possible solutions and already went through those. I asked here in hopes that I wasn't the only person getting screwed, but apparently I am. I talked with Sony again and they basically said the only option is a refund since "we have run out of troubleshooting options." Star Wars Pinball hopes crushed. Refund in 3-5 days.
Sidenote, don't rebuild your database. It erased some of my cart game installs and their saves.
On a positive note, seriously thank you for looking out for a fellow CAGer. Much appreciated.

What are you trying to download and install and where are you download it from?

There's the game itself and this demo, so note that they are different sizes and you might need both or one of the other. Have you tried one or both of them? Are you queueing the download from the webstore or the PS Store directly on the Vita? It might be a good idea to pay special attention to what you're downloading and trying to install.
