? Ok yes you could be a cag member and pay the full $60. Of course that increase doesn't happen till September 22nd... so you still have about 3 weeks to figure out where to get at least $50 to renew PS+ and avoid the increase. That is if you want it and want to avoid paying the $10 increase for at least another year + however much time is left for you in your current PS+ subscription.

Second part has nothing to do with the first part. The first part is about the cost of a game being under a subscription. The second part is about a game being listed by Sony among the free games on PS+ for that month not about how much those games cost because you have to pay for the subscription.

I don't pay for online play, my subscription is only for the additional PS+ discounts on digital games, and it more than pays for itself. So your logic failed.

Plus it sounds really condescending.

This was my first year having it. Thus far it hasn't been worth it for deals and afaik flash sale prices don't get discounted by plus

this is in no way a complaint only an observation based on my individual circumstance

Agreed. If I buy a game for $7, it's clearly because I thought it was worth $7. It's not a 'scam' if they drop the price to $6 the week after, or if they make it free a month later. Nothing changes the fact that I decided to pay $7 because it was worth $7 to me at the time it was priced at $7.

That's the meta-game we play -- we see a price during a sale, and we have to decide if we think the game will ever go on sale again, and if so when, and if so will the price drop be worth the wait, etc.

in general, prices go down over time. It's not rocket science. But there's no guarantee a game will ever go back on sale.

That's not what bait and switch is. You got exactly what you paid for. If you're going to accuse companies of a serious anti-consumer crime, you should at least know what it means.

I agree it 'feels crappy' if you buy a game and then it goes on sale the next week, but remember it was -worth- the price you paid, or else you wouldn't have paid it. Understand the decision to buy was yours and yours alone.

If I have 5 apples and sell the first 4 for a buck each to people walking by, then get bored and just give the last one to someone walking by, it doesn't mean I ripped off the first four people. I don't need to 'refund' them. The first four people got what they paid for.

Not everything matches inflation exactly. We have no idea what's going on internally -- they may be investing heavily in infrastructure and need a cash infusion. They may have publishers demanding way more money to be on ps+ than they used to give. They may have just decided they're leaving money on the table since MS already charged $10 more.

Ultimately, a company is going to charge what they think they can get.

I'll pay, because I enjoy playing TLOUR almost every night with my buds. That's worth the $50 to me. Plus I get more than $50 worth of ps+ games I want to play. Plus I probably save $50 in ps+ specific discounts a year, easy.

I think my favorites, because they actually have a lot of animation and look like a lot of work went into them, are the Tearaway and Oddworld New and Tasty themes. Both should be free, and are much more impressive than simple changing or scrolling backgrounds.

I think my favorites, because they actually have a lot of animation and look like a lot of work went into them, are the Tearaway and Oddworld New and Tasty themes. Both should be free, and are much more impressive than simple changing or scrolling backgrounds.

question. Is a boy and his blob best played on a vita or on ps3?  I'm thinking of playing that next and was considering playing it on my vita but wanted to ask if it has any issues and such first.
