Mafia 3 is f'n amazing. Awesome game, I hope 2 goes BC soon.

Is it just me, or are the graphics for Mafia 3 a bit...underwhelming? I've seen some texture popping issues, too, and had the client crash after a cutscene. It's mostly minor stuff, but it holds me back from getting into the game as much as I want to.

They may have temporarily removed the request deposit button. Going through their forums, there are a lot of threads about people complaining that their VIP rank / percentage dropped. It looks like the September preorder promotion was being applied to games preordered before September, and the drops people were seeing were the result of adjusting their accounts to remove the earlier preorders. I didn't see any topics specifically referring to requesting early deposits, but this thread says the auto deposit for September has been moved from mid-October to the end "to ensure that all users are accurately [and not overly] Rewarded".

 
Quick question. Amazon sent me a Gears of War 4 Ultimate Edition digital code because they didn't ship my game in time. Do you guys think that code would include the season pass on it as well? Or is that a separate code if you buy digitally?

Has anyone tried the AirServer app for X1? Supposedly it allows you to display whatever is on your phone onto your tv via the app. I'm just wondering how smooth it is.

Yeah, the graphics are definitely rough around the edges sometimes. The early night mission especially. And I'm sure it was intentional, but sometimes the weather gets all hazey/foggy and it just looks bad.

Ok your opinion is yours. But, Favre being unimpressive? The man was never in any stacked teams. He started more games in a row than any other player in history. In a position that gets the attention from the defense. All while playing in a fun, get-r-done type of style.

I mean damn. Brady is the modern day Montana but don't dismiss a man who played the game in a way that made every game fun to watch.

I can't keep responding to football talk, cause otherwise it will never end, and I'm a dink so I always wanna have the last word. But I'm biting my tongue this time...

Played some Gears horde last night with 3 randoms. 2 of them split after round 13 or so and me and the other guy made it to like 17 or 18 before I left too. Decided to play some social vs and proceeded to get my butthole stomped in playing warzone. Played a little TDM after and it went much better. Game runs incredibly well and looks phenomenal. The new enemies encountered in horde weren't awful either

I hope this happens. I would prefer to not have to open my factory sealed copy of Lost Odyssey. Thankfully I have plenty of other games in my backlog to tide me over until that becomes necessary.

I played a bit till about 1:30 Eastern. Last game was casual Horde. Had 4 players I think much of the way. Then 3. Then one guy just wasn't playing at all. Got up to 34 and then the other guy who was actually playing bailed (I think we both figured out the 3rd guy wasn't playing). They need to have an inactivity timer and boot them.

Didn't see your friend request till this morning. Added you though.

I've been playing the ps4 version and yeah that about sums it up. Big fan of the previous mafia games........this one however is missing that similar vibe and polish that the previous titles had. I do however love the soundtrack and the cut scenes.

AI is pretty bad. I was hiding behind a barrel and there were 4 guys looking for me. I popped up and shot each one as they got closer to me and this didn't alarm the others, even though they were in close proximity.

The screams from a victim after he is killed are also entertaining.

I haven't seen all of these problems yet, but some are definitely persisting on the Xbox. I'm tempted to wait until 2K/Hangar 13 pump out some patches before I load the game again.

I've had the same concern about the speedometer. It tells me I'm going 60 but it feels like half that. I didn't find anything to adjust it in the options menu. Plus, didn't Mafia 2 have an option to toggle a cap on your speed? I liked using that if I was trying to avoid attention.

I know there's an official screen-projection/miracast app on X1, maybe preview only? Can't remember, but I know it works pretty well for me to cast from my phone.

In my playtime I've noticed very few of those issues. I will say the one thing I did notice that was the same was the cloud thing. Bunch of shadows quickly hover over the street and block out the sun. I can see what they were going for but it just looks really odd. Other than that I haven't noticed any crazy glitches. My game did crash once though during a cutscene.

All in all I'm sure they'll patch some of that stuff up soon. Still a fun game.

Did you get that Gears 4 code from Sassygirlcheryl? They sent me that paper yesterday and sent it right back, they say it can take 72hrs. Never buying a digital code again from Ebay or from a sassy person, should have known better...

Yeah. It blows, I've bought codes before but usually pre-order bonuses and that kind of stuff. I'll stay away from these kinds of promotional codes going forwards at least.

 
Someone got to a decent comparison before Digital Foundry. Reach's campaign now seems to run as well as on 360, and better in some cases, minus any screen tearing like all BC games. No discussion of multiplayer though. I'm downloading but I won't be able to report until after work.

I'm not sure what you guys did different than I when opening a claim, but I just got my refund with eBay regarding these codes.

The seller just stopped responding to me so I escalated the claim (I said I wanted to return the items as they were not what I expected) and eBay wanted me to return the items to the sender and submit a tracking # to process the refund.

Since they were digital codes I wasn't sure how to proceed, do I just write them down on a piece of paper and drop it in the mail (to a likely fake address)? So I called eBay and it was sorted out and refunded in 5 minutes.

If you haven't already give eBay customer service a call and see what they can help with.

You rarely, if ever, want to deal with Sassy. Generally, go with Adamant or Jolly for physical, Modest or Timid for special, though there are cases for others.

Oh shit, pokemon references up in here! I've got a buddy who goes real deep into the IV training stuff, me, I just pick which pokemon I think are cute or cool and use them. Speaking of which, I gotta go download the legendaries for this month.

Probably did the same thing minus the calling part, if I don't get a response soon or get denied I will be calling for sure.

 
Floridian here, 

Got a code from Amazon for Gears of War 4 Ultimate Edition including the pass and everything I'm looking to sell. Not sure if it's because of the hurricane or because everyone else's physical copies were being delayed.
