The CAG Backlog Support Group.

Hello people!  Long time no post in this thread.  I think the last update I gave was finishing Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and starting Assassin's Creed Revelations which I still have not finished and honestly may never finish.

Even after I finished school, I have still had a limited amount of time to play games but I still managed to play and finish a few:

Uncharted 1 remaster

Uncharted 4

Ryse: Son of Rome

Gears of War 4

Metal Gear Rising Revengeance

Games I started but did not finish (plan to finish):

Dark Souls

Alice: Madness Returns

The Order: 1886

The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition

On top of it all, I have just added a ton more games to my backlog because of various sales this holiday season.

After completing uncharted 2, I've moved onto damnation. This game is horrible. I'm playing it on insane, so I get triple trophies. The concept was good, but the controls are lacking, the voice acting is horrible, and the writing isn't too good either.

Finished Saturday, day 7, on Devil Survivor 2. Took me a bit over 7 hours to do it.
I thought this was going to be the last day but I was wrong.

I will assume that Sunday is the last day based on conversations and the way things went over the last day.
I know of 3 major battles coming up and if there are no other surprises then that should all happen on this 8th day.

I just picked up WindWaker remaster for the WiiU and luigis mansion for the 3ds.
Back log grows. Definitely going to have to put in a lot more hours in 2017.

I also downloaded an app to help me keep track of my games and what I still have to play and what I have beaten or shelved because I didn't like it or whatever.

I'm on the last level of Damnation. I think I should make a youtube or twich channel with me playing horrible games. I assume there is already someone doing that. I might play Haze next.

We should get everyone to play haze during a certain month lol.

I'm going through The Last of Us. Got to the giraffe scene last night then stunk it up at the what I think is the last zombie fight scene.  I had to shut the game off in frustration. I suck at video games now.

It doesn't have to be a fight. I was able to sneak through most of it on grounded. The giant dudes will notice you when Ellie drops the crate for you at the end though so you gotta move fast once you start the animation.

I was tired and getting impatient. My first playthrough I remember sneaking by no problem. I tried going guns blazing, but damn does my aim suck. Like I said I suck at video games now.

So at something over 55 hours I finally beat the main game for Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker.
It took me about 4 hours to beat the last level and I didn't plan well so one fight handed me my arse.

I still have to beat the second story which I have read is about 35 hours long but I need a break and time to move on to something else for a bit.

Overall very happy with the game but I do believe I liked the first game better.

With best buys sale i picked up Luigi's Mansion so that will probably be the next 3ds game I play.

I'm considering moving the WiiU into the bedroom so I can play some of those games before bed on the control pad screen. Probably first would be Super Mario RPG.

Finished Damnation and did a little trophy cleanup. I started "WET". I like that is is a exploitation/grindhouse game. I think there should be a run button or a way for a character to move faster. The controls can't be changed, so they took a little getting used to. I did this one b/c I figured it will be a quick playthrough.

Man my backlog just got really bad.

Bought Dishonored 2, FF 15, new Tomb Raider, Twilight Princess for Wii U and BF 1.

And I'm still playing XCOM 2. Played D2 for about 10 hours before moving back to XCOM 2.

After having a clear head I beat The Last of Us. It actually wasn't too hard. I guess I was having a hard time because I was too tired.

Beat Batman Episode 5. I played a bit of Overwatch as well. Not liking the Mei Snowball Fight much but I got all the achievements from it and wish there were respawns. Went from 2200 last season to 1600 and now I'm back to 1900. 300 to go I guess. I decided to return Final Fantasy XV. I heard the DLC is going to be great so playing it now might be a unwise decision. Bought Transformers Devastation PS4 for $1.99. I figure I'll give it another try. I did not enjoy it on PC for some reason. Yet another digital PC game that I will never beat on PC...... Well figured out why again. I don't like the mix of TPS and melee combat. I loved Bayonetta and DMC though. Well guess I'll trade it in for $10 at Gamestop so $8 profit. I'll replay Batman though.

I finished WET. So that is 3 games (Uncharted 2, damnation, WET) in a short period of time. I might be done for a while. I'm going to do some internet searches for quick playthroughs to see what else I can play before xmas.

I think I played wet years ago and loved it.

I also should look for quick games especially after 50+ hours RPGS drain me

Stranglehold was similar to Wet. Beat Batman Episode 4 & 5 again seems like there will be only two major decisions that carry over to season 2.

Batman Spoiler:

The choice to owe Joker a favor I'm guessing is one of them. What would be the other?

SPOILERS man spoilers.

Selina might be a big one depending on how you left it off with her and I'm guessing minor conversation with Alfred, Gordon and Montoya might change a bit but that isn't major.

Well disliking Overwatch Comp got to many griefers and leavers in a row and lost a lot of points. I don't mind losing because I or the team sucks but you shouldn't lose points if that stuff happens so many times in a row. Well back to 1720 hoping to be at least gold.

Since beating Devil Survivor 2 I started playing some quicker games.

Playing Castlevania Circle of the Moon on my DSlite at work and playing SMB2 on my 3ds at home.
Also playing some Super Mario RPG on my wiiu a bit.

Beat SMB2 and now playing Gunman Clive on the 3ds. Pretty fun cheap game.

Went back to Lego star wars clone wars. That was a mistake. I think I added 18 hours to the timer and accomplished very little. I'm all for open world games, but they give you no direction whatsoever. There are a whole series of battles that are side quests that IDK if they even do anything, but I am missing half the ships, so I am hoping these unlock the vehicles.

Update: I found most of the stuff I was looking for and I collected all the minikits. I'm going for platinum.

I just finished Lego Star Wars Clone wars and I got the platinum. I have Katamari forever sitting here, but I don't think I am ready to start another game. I might do something like trivial pursuit or jeopardy.

Finished The Walking Dead A New Frontier Episode 1 and apparently I have Episode 2 as well. It is extremely short 40 minutes. I wonder why the episodes are getting shorter. Also bought Mercenaries Saga 3 3DS and got my kickstarter copy of Shantae. I rebought Final Fantasy XV screwed waiting for the DLC for the complete game and story. They say Tank Troopers 3DS might release soon to. I wonder if it is any good.

I was afraid of this. I remember being disappointed with Michonne because of how short the episodes were and they still charged the normal price of $5 an episode. It might be difficult but I may wait until the season is done and we start seeing deals. But yeah, Episdoes 1 & 2 came out on launch.

Beat Episode 2 took 50 minutes but my game crashed twice...... and almost beat Shantae already. I get the games are 100% in 3 hours but I did not think it would be so short. Well off to my two RPGs afterwords Final Fantasy XV and Mercenary Saga 3. Hoping Tank Troopers releases friday else wise I'll have to make the two rpgs last.

Edit: Beat Shantae my Mercenary Saga 3 game won't work for some reason so I'm playing FF XV. Liking it so far but dislike the lack of unlimited sprinting when exploring.

Decided to commit to The Order 1886.  I think I'm 3/4 of the way through.  So far the presentation is very nice - there really isn't anything too groundbreaking that has not been done before, including the story.

Just finished The Order 1886. It's good for one play through and I can see myself going back to it but not anytime soon. There was so much more that I can think of that could have been done to make it better. It is truly a beautiful looking game but needed more heart and character development. I will give it 2.5/5.

Now onto Siren: Blood Curse for PS3.

Traded in Final Fantasy XV again. I cannot decide if I want to play with all the dlc out or just beat it, I want the full game but I also want to play it now. I'm playing Mercenary Saga 3 on 3DS. I love SRPGs and am hoping it has 32+ chapters like the 2nd game. Beat Dead Island Riptide forgot I had that game digitally and already almost completed the game so it was easy. Guess 39 games beaten this year for me.

I've been working on the plat for trivial pursuit. Just a heads up. It is a difficult plat now that they only have the basic pack. The 10X multiplier is nearly impossible without cheating, especially when they give you a map on a non geography question. You can't keep landing in the middle to get the multiplier either. It takes away a question from the regular board. If you land on a "chance" type panel you get screwed too. Every roadmap I have looked at seems like people used a movie pack, but there is no dlc available anymore for the game.

I've been playing Rayman Legends on Wii U and God! the game is great but (most of) those Murphy levels are irritating. Hope to finish it soon so I can move onto Pikmin 3 or Forza Horizon 2.

I'm finally back into Fallout 3!

I'm starting to think I should just skip on exploring every inch of the game and just get through the parts to finish and platinum like I originally planned.  I mean, I enjoy it, but it's taking WAY  too long.  I'm approaching 400 hours since November 2010 and I still haven't touched one of the DLC maps or a few of the side quests.  Just finished Oasis last night, it was pretty easy.

Might also help if I stopped trying to hoard every weapon that is dropped.  Fourty fully repaired Chinese assault rifles is enough!

Do you think Fallout 3 is still worth playing at this point? I've never played any fallout games and was looking for a place to start.

It's been awhile since I've had an update, but that's because I haven't been playing too many games lately. Just finished Earth Defense Force 2 on the Vita and Robison: The Journey. Now I am going to start up Hatsune Miku: Future Live VR.

I also want to say I started this thread 3 years ago and really had no idea that it was going to take off the way that it did. The amount of people that come here regularly and share updates with each other is amazing. This is pretty much the only thread that I really participate in on CAG and you guys really help motivate me to get through my backlog.

Here's to another year of successfully eliminated games from our backlogs!

I do the same thing. It is in game hoarding. Not worth it. Though technically in Fallout your opponent can pick up weapons on the ground from dead people.

I just spent a hour on trivial persuit and somewhere the multiplier got messed up on one category. The questions were shwoing I answered correctly, but it was stuck at 7x instead of 10x...So it looks like I'll need one more hour or so playthrough. ugh.

My opinion is absolutely! I would not be playing it still if not. The story line is engaging, you get to build and upgrade your character in true RPG fashion, the open world is huge with plenty of game changing choices to make... There are numerous side quests that do not need to be done to complete the game, but to me they add to the game experience and allow you to immerse yourself deeper into the world.

I'm only pondering the change in strategy because the game is eating so much of my time I'm missing out on other games.

If you base your opinion for games on graphics alone you will probably be disappointed.

I don't think Platinuming anything is worth it.. there's just far too many games out there to spend that much effort on any single one. That's just my unsolicited opinion, anyway.

Just finished The Order 1886. It's good for one play through and I can see myself going back to it but not anytime soon. That's kind of a shame to hear. It's one of those games I've decided to want to like no matter what (but still haven't played), so it's a shame that the general consensus seems to be true: that's it's just 'meh'. I'll still play it now that I finally bought a PS4, just won't be going in expecting a whole lot.

Currently I'm working on Pokemon Moon, so probably won't be done with that for some time. Also playing Last Guardian.

It is I do prefer New Vegas though.

Well beat Mercanaries Saga 3. Some things I noticed about it was far easier just using six people unless you needed the other thief to scan the map for hidden items within a time limit. The hidden items are about the same though with many being inaccessible due to height on the first playthrough. There are cameos from the second game as well but Earthquake is still while a great xp gain spell is terrible. Also the addition of summon like spells was nice. It is pretty much the 2nd game with a new story and summons. Also it is shorter and some enemies take two turns still. Well 40 games beaten this year though most were 3-5 hour games. My backlog is once again empty. Back to Overwatch I guess the Winter event does end today....

While I was away, I would wonder, from time to time, whether or not you beaten the game yet. I definitely know how one can get lost in it's world. I completed most of the DLC but still need to finish the rest.

YES! I started playing it I think 6 years after it's release and enjoyed every minute of it.

It is a fun title. I enjoyed the time playing it but....man there is so much left to be desired. I just wish there was more. I do hope they maje a sequel.

Ok so I decided not to jump into Siren: Blood Curse just yet. I've started Batman: Arkham Origins and Bastion. I'm REALLY enjoying Bastion so far but Arkham Origins is starting to be a little confusing.

I am currently 6 hours into Castlevania Circle of the Moon.
A couple parts have really pushed my patience.

Is this the first of that series that you are playing? I really enjoyed Aria of Sorrow, easily in my top 5 for the GBA, possibly even my favorite GBA game of all time. If not do you plan on Aria of Sorrow or Harmony of Dissonance?

I have played castlevania on the nes many times and Symphony of the Night on Playstation which is one of my favorite games ever.
I plan on obtaining and playing all the castlevania Games for the GBA and the DS.
Finding them is the issue

Finished Rayman Legends (almost) 100%. Haven't played a COD single player campaign in ages so I'll play COD 2 or World at War (which I've never played) next to keep eliminating games from MY LIST.

BTW, thanks for the input on Fallout 3 people! I'll have to check it out sometime.

Rayman Legends raised the bar of what a 2D platformer should be. Move over Mario. It's such a fun & beautiful game.I often fire it up just to play the music levels.

I sold my copy a while back, but even though I generally dislike 2D platformers I absolutely loved the music levels in Rayman Legends.

Finished The Walking Dead season 2, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas and started Watch Dogs 2. Planning on finishing Watch Dogs 2 today or tomorrow.

Finished COD 2. Super fun campaign. Really love the documentary clips before each mission. Highly recommend if you're a 1st person shooter fan or just looking for a fun game.

Next is COD: World at War. After that I'll try to finish Limbo (I was stuck at a level and just gave up).

I've finished 2 games already this year. I think that's pretty good for me.
