Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

The live streamers are at the top of the list, when you scroll down it will eventually reach the offline Mixer Partners....there's a huge list of them in no particular order lol, I never got to the end, I went thru like the 1st 50 & this is what I found. Once u think u have reached the end, more partner names load lol! Would be nice if it was in ABC order or there was a way to search thru them. At the beginning I didn't copy down the ones that had the same game up as someone else on the list, eventually they'll probably change the game but didn't think about that at the time, oops lol. Not code savvy to scrape the data to see who has what listed, tho not sure if it's possible coz the page autorefreshes with more partner names when you get near the fake end. Was trying to find someone who also had The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekker listed since Xbox channel pulled it, but had no luck lol.

https://mixer.com/Antitinkerbell - no idea why Fortnite Battle Royale is listed lol, its free

Got my X set up. Didn't get a chance to try anything out a lot, but did a round of titanfall 2 multiplayer. It's been a while since playing it but it looked great.

The list of games on the website is games that don't necessarily have an X specific patch, correct? Overwatch is on the list but doesn't show up in the "xbox one x enhanced" tab of my games and apps.

Edit: Anyone have any idea why my media remote won't change the volume of my TV through the X? Imported my settings from the S, had the TV and remote code. Know it's not a bad signal because I can control the xbox menus with it.

How much do you have to earn and how long does it take to cash out? I use TopCashback, which is supposed to be 8 weeks, but I still can't cash out. They give $2 back on 1 month of XBL, so you'd get 200% of your money back if you purchase the $1 Gold deal right now.

Only thing I'm excited about from E3 is Elder Scrolls Blades. Fallout76 I want to be excited about, but have zero interest in having other live players in my game. Will be waiting for the inevitable digital sales to buy that. Nothing else really stood out and made me say Oh I Want That Now.
If it makes a difference, they did say you can absolutely play F76 solo. The MP is completely optional.

The cheap ass in me is realizing "Wow, look at all these great games coming in January and February next year. Getting them for $15 each on Black Friday is going to rock!"

New console talk is silly to me since Nvidia hasn't even released the new cards yet. The Xbox One X is so powerful for a console I'm not sure what they put in a new one right now. At this point I also don't see why you would need to reset the console. If PS5 and Xbox One 2 can't play games from current gen, that would really be a shame since most likely it will just be improvments in graphics/processing and the same arcitecture.

I know, just concerned that there might be no or fewer AI companions since they want us to partner up with real people. Like what the tradeoff will be for them making it mp.

To be honest this remake looks way more ambitious than the RE 1 remakes in the past, which kind of kept everything thing the same with a new coat of paint. I'm down for that but also would love to have the old RE2 and RE3, and at least BC of Code Veroncia to have a complete collection on the Xbox One.
You are not giving REmake enough credit. I'll agree that this is more ambitious than REmake, it clearly has a much higher budget. But REmake did not keep everything the same, tons of stuff was moved around, a lot of new rooms were added, and the core gameplay was fairly different thanks to the introduction of self defense weapons, Lisa Trevor, and Crimson Heads. Plus a bunch of lore stuff was added in the documents, as well as brand new modes.

"New coat of paint" to me is something like Halo Anniversary where the core gameplay is pretty much identical, and the original assets like voice acting are reused, which is not the case for REmake.

I don't think these will work. I'm pretty sure the ToS on that deal said the content had to be $10 and up.

Game was an unplayable piece of shit anyways. fuck gun media, I hope they are done after burning so many people with this one.
Seems kind of shady that they're bowing out in this way. I'm more likely to believe that they've been wanting to get away from the game and the lawsuit provides the perfect excuse. They weren't going to make extra money from a single player mode and more DLC and they were way in over their heads.

The best thing about the game is that it's proven that such a game can be viable. Hopefully a better studio decides to give it a go again in a few years. Could be amazing if done right.

Yeah, I don't even want to hear new console talk yet. We had an eight-year gap between 360 and Xbox One, why would we get a new console any sooner than 2021?

On top of that, we just got the One X and this generation's launch was the most sluggish ever. People are becoming more and more hesitant to upgrade due to the power of current consoles and expense of new ones, and as a result we barely got anything but cross-gen releases for the first year or two. Honestly, I think that's where MS got the idea for the One X. For the first year or two of the Xbox One, it was basically a platform to play the same games as the 360 (Destiny, Titanfall, etc. etc.) but with better performance and graphics, after all. Each gen is taking longer and longer to come around.

And let's not forget that both the 360 and One X were officially unveiled in May of the same year they launched. So we're definitely not going to hear anything about a new console for a few years, since they're not going to pull an Elder Scrolls VI and announce it two years before we get it.

Well from the trailer we saw Cogsworth, and of course Dogmeat will be a thing so I don't think they're skipping AI companions. However, these games tend to blur together since Fallout seems to be their bread and butter release these days, so I would be concerned with the quality of fresh experiences without the MP to shake things up. I personally would have totally skipped this game if not for them adding in MP.

So we're definitely not going to hear anything about a new console for a few years, since they're not going to pull an Elder Scrolls VI and announce it two years before we get it.
the game will still get patches and the dedicated servers, just no more DLC and i'm pretty sure all that was left was the Grendel map and Uber Jason, i don't get excited for clothing packs

even with all it's warts, it's one of the most fun games i've ever played

Well from the trailer we saw Cogsworth, and of course Dogmeat will be a thing so I don't think they're skipping AI companions. However, these games tend to blur together since Fallout seems to be their bread and butter release these days, so I would be concerned with the quality of fresh experiences without the MP to shake things up. I personally would have totally skipped this game if not for them adding in MP.
I don't know, they said no NPCs aside from robots, and the dumb as a rock AI of a Fallout companion doesn't make much sense if you have co-op partners. I could see Dogmeat or whatever various pets, but I'm not getting a companion vibe. I'm still pretty skeptical of just how well the multiplayer is going to work so I need to play the beta, and I don't like the prospect of being randomly nuked if I'm not actively seeking out PVP.

Technically that's a different Mr. Handy, not Cogsworth.

The REmake was also remade on the Gamecube, and Capcom realized they could touch it up more for HD. REmake is more of an HD remaster of a 10 year old remake.

RE2, comparatively, is being remade on current hardware, so of course it's more ambitious.

I was worried a bit about this at first, but after the Inside Xbox interview, I think it'll be ok. They said you don't lose anything when you die. Your settlement is designed to be movable so even if it gets "nuked," you can "move it" (spawn it, I assume) safely out of the radiation zone afterwards.

In the other Fallout games, you'll randomly stumble upon enemies or Supermutants. Just imagine some of those being replaced with human players. You can choose to fight, cooperate, or run. In that light, it's not a big deal. If you die to a Supermutant, just spawn back. Die to a player, just spawn back.

Also sounds like Nukes are not designed to be easily accessible. Launch codes are hidden and spread through the world. You would need all of them to launch. My friends and I have already decided that as soon as we are able, we are hunting down at least one or two pieces of those launch codes and then hoarding them so others can't complete the launch code in our world. Hence, no usable nukes.

I was only referring to the GameCube version. REmake HD is completely a remaster so I don't see how it alone could even be compared to RE2.

Wait what lol the One X uses in terms of pc parts a 580 and still has that crappy Jaguar CPU that both of them have, this conference pretty much confirmed that they are building their next batch of big games for Next Gen Systems. I mean think that next halo is going to be a Switch/Wii U type of thing with Zelda Breath of Wild

Thinking about grabbing 2 games that are on sale right now - Claire: Extended Cut & Virginia. What are the chances either of those go GWG or GamePass?

Claire was a PS+ game a few months back.
I recommend skipping Virginia unless you just want a really easy game to 1000. It's not often this happens, because I'm generally pretty good at avoiding buying games I won't like, but I absolutely hated the game and can't find anything good to say about it other than, as a game, it is at least functional and playable and not an entirely glitchy mess or anything.

Here's my old post on it:

Got 100% on Virginia today. I don't know how that game has so many good reviews. It is easily the worst walking simulator I've ever played. It has the most obtuse pretentious ending. Lots of random weird stuff happens just for the sake of it. I guess if you don't have anything to say as a developer, just make your game really weird so people can interpret it however they want. At least it didn't take too long to get the 1000.

Yeah called new xbox 2020 a year or two ago and It's becoming more obvious now. Curious as to what the "family of devices" is. I'm assuming a standard console and a beefed up version ALA X for the big spenders. I wonder how they'll handle the streaming portion of the services that they have been hinting at.

Wow that's it for Nintendo's conference? MS really did win E3.

We all knew Smash was coming, but it's pretty impressive anyway. They knew they needed to put a flagship title on there, and Smash 4 spent years in development. Making an "ultimate" version with every character ever along with a few new ones is a whole lot of fan service without reinventing the wheel.

I'd agree with this. I like the walking sim genre, but Virginia's the worst I've played so far. Also the letter boxing was so damn obnoxious.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=62&v=MUyepaKW-BU So much for those Castlevania collections and what not. At least im not seeing naything else from Konami

My kids will like Pokémon Pikachu and Eevee, and Mario Party, and Smash will be enjoyed by all. Nintendo always has the fun family games.

I haven't shopped at GameStop in years but my bro wanted me to try to get some E3 Exclusive Master Chief Camo Pop Vinyl toy thing.  He sent me a link and it gave me an option to try to see if stores have it to hold me fore.  I select a store and requested one for hold.  Sure enough I get the Hold Confirmation email.  So I went there when they opened, I was the second person there, no one was there just me the other person and one employee.  I told the employee what I was there for and she just told me they didn't have any or they were for preorders.  Anyone else tried to get this and somehow preordered?  I wasn't sure if it was available to preorder or not.  I just emailed GameStop and told them my experience lol.

Was it that different from the GameCube version? It's been so long since I played that one so I could have missed some things, Have basically everything Resident Evil, even still have my PS1 Director's Cut for the RE2 demo so things can blur together. Still my point remains this looks way way way more ambitious than the Resident Evil remake that I wonder if it's going to lose some of it's identity, like the Final Fantasy 7 thing.

Ok responded before I read this, didn't think I was that off the mark

All those new Studios are making games for the next console not the current ones, Ehh I still Sony had a bigger showing with games and gameplay if anything the PC Gaming Show was best for me this year

game was awesome until the latest update
Game was not playable for the majority of people who purchased it, for a significant period of time after release. In addition to my own experience, the forums on their own website verify this as fact. However, I do respect your right to be wrong. 😃

Going to have to disagree with most of this, there will be versions of the games you saw on the current Xbox One and PS4, will they be the best versions nope. Also not really sure how Sony had the bigger showing, 4 games that were all known quantities and honestly I think Death Stranding looks like it has 3 years of work still ahead of it. Sony has the 3rd person action adventure game down pat for sure, but I was blown away how good the next Ori is looking. Seemed a lot of variety on the Xbox stage.

As others are saying, no humans are in the game besides other players so I doubt there will be AI companions, either. And I'm doubtful that the game will have an overarching narrative, quests, etc. because there are no NPCs to give them out. Todd Howard did say there'd be terminals, etc. so there will be in-game lore, but I'm guessing this is meant to be a more loosely structured (if structured at all) experience than the other games. Basically a MP survival sandbox using the Fallout IP.

Oh, my bad...I didn't realize the single player challenges came out last month. I guess there isn't much left to do in terms of content, then.

I agree the game was fun, but I personally didn't like the community much. At first it wasn't bad, but if you play infrequently like I do and spend time going through L4G to find a game, you often end up with players that have put hundreds of hours or more in. I also ran into a lot of toxic chat, etc. while playing with groups, and that's coming from someone with >100 hours in Dead By Daylight.

Also, I like that I can play DBD as a survivor without having to chat. Friday would be a blast with seven or eight friends, but none of my friends were ever interested in it and with the way the game launched, I couldn't really wholeheartedly recommend it, either.

between the sony conference and this new fortnite stuff, I never thought i'd see so many people annoyed with sony, it's weird.

For those that missed it, Fortnite is on Switch now and can crossplay with xbox/pc/mobile. But if you've ever used your account on PS4, even just for 5 minutes you're forever locked out of switch and would have to make a brand new account. None of your progress or paid skins carry over because they're linked to ps4.

Yes but those 4 games all had gameplay shown and at the latest are coming out 2019 with the only exception being Kojimas Game, I am disspointed with Xbox because all they showed was their known sequels, dont get me wrong I am looking forward to Foza and Halo but it just seems they are working towards next gen already

Fair enough, but as far as working towards next gen the thing with Microsoft that I think gets glossed over in this thread a lot is the generations don't matter anymore. Next generation MS is still going to run on your current hardware. If the rumors of a 2020 next model are true it's even more so going to be like PC and Phone upgrading. Eventually a base model won't make the cut the anymore and that person will have to upgrade but I don't think that's happening anytime soon. Ever since Phil has been there he's been angling the Xbox Live as a service that goes with you on to new hardware. With the GamePass and Play Anywhere and the client they are working on now to stream to devices, it's not going to be so much that you play on an actual physical plastic rectangle Xbox but that you are in the Xbox ecosystem.

I never got around to playing Destiny but just played Destiny 2 since it was on free play this last weekend. Looks like I can get the base game on disk for $10. Anyone want to give thoughts about it?

The Last of Us 2 is coming out this year? NIOH 2 is coming out this year? RE2 Remake is coming out this year? It's more then Kojima's game.

MS won this year plan and simple. Oh and gamers, especially the cross play news. Unless your on a Sony system you can't cross play.

will  Forza Horizon 3 and Forza 7 both get a complete edition like forza 6 did

Are you talking about the first game for $10? The first game you can get a copy with all the DLC for around $30, so that's better than the base game for $10 since you'll encounter DLC items in the base game that you can't use. If you think you'll want to do more than the main story I'd suggest the collection over the base game.
