Sure, sometimes you hear about how their games run badly, but nothing like how JC3 practically cant even be mentionned without it being catalogued as unplayable. I almost skipped the game because of all the bad rep, but thankfully there was a free-to-play weekend and I was able to try it and see that the bad rep was way overblown and the game is lots of fun.

Looks like the new marketplace doesn't tip its hand just 24 hours in advance anymore.  Below are the things that are counting down that aren't currently on sale.  Looks like we're in for some Capcom and Rockstar tomorrow, with other stuff like Shadow of War.  OnRush and Tennis World Tour next week, Ghost Recon Wildlands in 3 weeks, State of Decay : Year One in 5 weeks (or maybe October GwG?) and For Honor in 7 weeks.

The 4-5 day countdowns may be related to September Game Pass.  We know Halo: MCC is coming and PES 2018 is leaving.  Need to look into why I didn't catch 10 Second Ninja X or The Bridge.  Microsoft may be resetting something for the month for their games that are in the service.  Or maybe permanent price drops?  Have to wait and see.

Seems a couple months early for Battlefront II to go into the Vault, but 9 days doesn't seem to line up with anything.

I hope you'll at least lurk for the deals, you're gonna need them more than ever most likely. Unless you're retiring from gaming too. :shock: Hopefully it doesn't take long to pick up your life. Or even start a whole new one.

I have the A-770 which came highly recommended at the price and quality over all others. I was going to get a Sony was advised against it. Best advice I’ve ever taken. My old receiver was an Onkyo and I feel like Yamaha is a step up. Mine does 7 channel max (for atmos it’s 5.1 with only 2 height speakers in the front. If you need more I suggest going up a model or two) and I haven’t noticed any issues with latency or anything. I spent 2 weeks after purchasing to play with all the settings and I just love everything it offers including the new sound enhancements. My old onkyo was from 2009 so this is almost a 10 year upgrade lol. You can run sound straight with no enhancements but for gaming I think you’ll notice that’s not really preferable. It sounds a bit flat and I believe it cuts out your bottom end but after running the setup mic and choosing a sound profile (I use YPAO Flat which is also what most recommend) you’ll hear a massive difference in quality. Also don’t forget to choose PCM for uncompressed audio unless you go the Atmos route which you have to choose bitstream on Xbox.

Started playing rainbow six siege and although it's a huge difference to tradidional MPs it's slow and quite fun to play.On my 4th match and so far we've won them all.

Is this even on an X? I’ve been wondering, because my fiancé loves the hell out of this game and plays it all the time but occasionally the slow down will bug her (her ranch is huge and she has too many gordos haha). I was always curious if it was any better on the faster hardware, though.

Yeah, it might just be how my farm is in my game. I have a lot of exploding/crystal slimes in one area and I guess it could be causing the slowdown.

 
I got bored of slime rancher after a few hours so never made it to the slow down causing parts, just saw it pop up when sorted under X enhanced and thought about going back to it since they made it have less busy work with that recent update

Welp, after messing around a lot, finally got my Sony receiver working with my X. Atmos sounds stunning and, for some reason, the HDR looks even better. Not sure if my old receiver was damping the HDR when it passed through but not complaining with my new setup.

Anyone know if Don't Starve Together can be played single player at all? I know it's meant to be played co-op but the original edition isn't on sale and Together is.

I'm not 100% but I want to say it's a "standalone" multi-player expansion, meaning no single player, co-op only. One thing I'm sure of it's last day to lock in the Amazon Prime discount, thinking of putting in one for Fallout 76 even if I cancel just for some beta action.

 
Not sure if I saw anyone mention it, but Hollow Knight is coming to X1 next Spring, and will have a physical release. 

It was on sale on Steam the last few days so I figured I'd try it on my new laptop. It might be my own GOTY.

It's close but Hollow Knight is better. They're different enough from each other that you need to own both in my opinion.

I'm leaning towards yes, although word is that Hollow Knight is ~20 hours long, so it may wear out its welcome. So far, I don't see that happening. Metroid is my favorite series, and I was a little disappointed with Axiom Verge's hype. It was great fun, but forgettable. Hollow Knight is what I wanted AV to be. Beautiful graphics and attention to detail, tight controls, challenging, and an enormous world where exploration is kind of its own reward. And the art style - it's like if Edward Gorey's illustrations and Rayman Origins had a gothic baby.

I realize that all of those descriptions apply to Dead Cells, too. The difference is in the roguelike elements. I play Dead Cells for 2-3 hours and I take a break for a few days because running through the same environments and doing 75% of the same thing each time gets repetitive, but once I've taken a break, I want to play it more.

With Hollow Knight, I'm afraid if I take a few days off, I'll forget what I'm doing, because the map is so large. But you also always feel like you're making progress as you find new areas and return to old ones with new abilities.

I think Dead Cells is more accessible to casual playing because it's a known quantity every time you turn it on. I can see some people loving DC because of it's pick-up-and-play, one-more-round style, but not investing the time in HK. Which is a shame, because they're both excellent. If HK releases for $15 like on other platforms, then it's a no-brainer, it's easily worth twice that.

 
The realization I don't know what the difference is between Hollow Knight and Dead Cells and probably won't remember or know until they're on sale.

Awesome news! Personally prefer Dead Cells in the whole Metroidvania space having played Hollow Knight on PC some. But I have really wanted it on console since I don’t really do much PC gaming. It is a great game.
