I am 2 logins away from finishing - been a grind

 
I'm 4 logins away from finishing on my alt account and a whopping 7 days from finishing on my main account. How I suddenly ended up with a 3 day gap on logins between my accounts I'll never know. I will just be pleased as punch to have completed this teeth-grinding quest.

 
Visiting some friends this weekend who are in the Fallout 76 Beta, and I noticed something about the scheduled times for tomorrow (the 4th) on the beta's start screen.  It said it starts at 2pm EDT / 6pm UTC.  However, most of the US switches to EST in a few hours.  6pm UTC will be 1pm Eastern tomorrow afternoon, so it might become available earlier than expected.  The Bethesda Twitter just mentions "Eastern" without specific reference to Daylight or Standard, but it could be earlier if they're using UTC behind the scenes.  It became available about a half hour early today, but could possibly be 60-90 minutes early tomorrow.

One would hope they have people smart enough to have posted the Standard time for that day instead of Daylight. But sadly it's probably the same idiot that sent the email yesterday about friend codes. They posted EDT and PDT for today's beta, and they were off by an hour. SMH.

Anyone played No Man’s Sky? I see it’s on sale at Best Buy this week. Not going to buy it physically since I game share with my fiancé, but if it happened to drop to $30 digitally this week I might consider it (make it happen, Bloomy!). Just curious if anyone has experience with it and could recommend and/or dissuade a purchase. Thanks, all!

To be fair, I’m not sure I understand your post either, but maybe the point was that a lot of people think the current president has normalized racism with his rhetoric. People seem to be feel more brazen with their racist views, in part, because the president has racist views.

The GCU doesn't apply to BF deals so I suppose everyone gets the same price no matter the membership.

I'm in the same boat otherwise, they banned my account and stole my certs - somehow feeling that I abused the GCU terms even though I didn't; it was a good excuse. I had about $500 worth of certs saving up to BF. So dont feel bad about your loss. :)

Joined Game Pass (for 3 months at least) and decided to start with Halo MCC. I thought I'd just check out the first level of CE to see how the updated graphics look, but now I'm 6 levels in. Anyway, once again I'm struck by how much variety they packed into the game for the time and by how bad the Forerunners were at architecture.

Yeah my mistake - gave them lot of my business, preordered everything and hoarded certs for BF. Kinda what I do every year, which is how I have been elite plus for 3 years until they canned my a/c. Haven't bought anything a best buy since. fuck those guys I'll give (have been giving) my money to GS and I hate GS.
 
Behaving myself and adding two more to my ignore list. People are emboldened these days to be hateful because they have no fear of consequence or reproach. Get right the fuck out with that.

I keep wanting to put more time in SC6 but all I do it putz around in the same games. Blizzcon got me to pop in D3 last night, still fun.

I'd say try and Redbox it or something before buying. I tried it twice, after the Atlas and NEXT updates, and it just wasn't for me. I thought the third-person view would make the gameplay better but it's just not well implemented. Ground combat is terrible and pretty common, space stuff is better. A lot of the game is exploring and harvesting, but harvesting is kind of boring because you do literally everything with the same laser and basically disintegrate everything. Exploring can be fun but it depends on the luck of the algorithm if the planet is interesting. From what I've seen of the game I think building bases is probably the most interesting personally.

Overall I wouldn't recommend it personally, but I think it will vary person to person pretty wildly.

I think the majority of political posts would get removed if reported. You're just more likely to get reported if you use obnoxious phrasing that idiots tend to use, like "triggered snowflakes", regardless of your leanings.

I'd guess a lot of people are beyond sick of hearing about politics, shit opinions or not, and we're on a board about video games. Yes, we're off topic a lot in this thread, but it's generally about other non-serious topics still.

I think it's just part of the whole Politics and Religion are the two topics no one wants your opinion on unless it's a forum designed for those topics.

I finally figured out how to make my Overwatch team better. When I'm on offense now I hurry and select Widowmaker and stay on her all the way til the door is almost going to open. Then I switch to the healer or tank that the team is lacking and it helps a lot. To many games on offense I end up with a Widowmaker and Hanzo on my team sitting back not pushing the objective and it's not helpful unless they are really good to the point where they can at least kill two enemies before dying to uneven the push, but most players can't.

I can’t find the link right now, but that reminded of a Penny Arcade comic where they wondered if the Forerunners intentionally made everything look the same so intruders would go around in circles and eventually get lost and die.

I agree with this but I didn’t post anything about politics, I was making fun of the whole racism discussion which look is still there yet my posts keep getting deleted lmfao.

Too bad I won’t report it myself I just like pointing out hypocrisy *shrugs*

I thought the third-person view would make the gameplay better but it's just not well implemented. Ground combat is terrible and pretty common, space stuff is better. A lot of the game is exploring and harvesting, but harvesting is kind of boring because you do literally everything with the same laser and basically disintegrate everything. Exploring can be fun but it depends on the luck of the algorithm if the planet is interesting. From what I've seen of the game I think building bases is probably the most interesting personally.

Overall I wouldn't recommend it personally, but I think it will vary person to person pretty wildly.

Thanks for the feedback folks. Guess I’ll pass at this point. Maybe it’ll be a GWG sometime next year after the initial lustre (if it had any to begin with) of the XB launch it had in the first place.

For bonus points, try to get a pick with widow before you switch. Don't waste more than 10 seconds, but if you can pick Mercy in that time you'll have an easier push.

That's a good idea! I also only do this in Ranked play, if it's Quick Play I don't really care because I feel like Quick Play is the place where you can test whatever hero you want and not care about team. Ranked you should care about the team though.

Of course, that strategy is full of holes. If you can hit headshots that quickly, why not just keep it up? Maybe by picking Widow at the start, you're triggering some to throw and that could happen again by switching early. It's also that much ultimate charge wasted. I just remember seeing people try that when OW was new, and then whine in voice chat that they want to play mercy now so I should switch to a support I suck at.
 
I don't have a deal to post, but I just wanted to say that I had a good time playing my Alienware Alpha R1 today. It's low-end by most standards, but there are plenty of games out there that will work well on it. I lost a few hours this afternoon playing Spelunky, Death Road to Canada, Dungelot: Shattered Lands, and 10000000. My money is too tight right now to upgrade, so it was nice to just enjoy some Steam games that were already in my library.

Pretty sure I remember that. Big difference between disliking an individual after a back and forth argument versus arbitrarily disliking a group of people with zero reason. Telling someone to play in traffic is vastly different than telling them they're unworthy because of something beyond their control.

It's amazing how hard it is to find discounted PS+ versus XBL.

I caught it on clearance at Walmart right after the Atlas update. If I didn't have small kids, a massive backlog and a Rocket League addiction ... I could see losing lots of time to it.

But it's definitely divisive. If you enjoy butt tons of crafting, strict process and procedure ... you'll like it. I typically don't, but I could oddly see myself sinking time in NMS. I traded it in after about a week so.
 
i tryed the fallout beta today and no sound for me at all, only when i go to atomic shop I get sound 

Ima redownload and try again only took like an hour to download. any 1 have the same problem?
