JohnnyGuru is one of the best sites for PSU reviews and info. These days I favor EVGA and Seasonic and maybe the higher end Corsairs. The EVGA G1, G2 and G3 series have been solid.

Sweet. My son asked for copies of the LEGO games for his own account just last night. This and The Hobbit are a good start.
Lego Hobbit is so friggin boring though. If I remember later, I'll see if I still have some of the older codes from that Nuuvem bundle a long time ago.

I refuse to buy in-game currency. Is it worth playing without adding the caveats?
I guess it depends on how much you value your time. Is the game bad? No. However, it feels like a single-player MMO and outside of of a few NPC's quite literally nothing is memorable (I played at launch). It is something you play if you have nothing else to do and feel like wasting some time.

Its weird. There actually seem to be some decent discounts on things this time around with a few being better than the previous sale. But the actually number of items on sale seems low. Around half of my wish list has no discount at all. And a lot of them are ones that generally see the same sale during every event.

if you know anyone that works at HEB (texas grocery store) employees can use their discount card to get 20% off gaming/music/movie cards. Max $50 discount and has to be done in one purchase.

I just grabbed $100 steam and $50 psn for $120

Why does it says its Steam but it sent me a download link?
It just sends you to a page with the code on it. Not sure why they still have it labeled as that, since I think a majority of their sales are codes and not DRM-free installers.

Hey guys... you think Bethesda will win dev of the year?

With increased competition, there are several things Steam can do. One, they could bring back the time-limited greater discounts. They could put more pressure on companies to lower their prices using such tactics as promising them featured status on the store or be willing to take off some of the cut Steam gets. They could also bring back giveaways or the auction style thing they did once.
They do events for every sale. They did giveaways again recently. (A chance to get one of a limited number, but giveaways.)

I don't see them or the publishers pushing for bigger discounts. The competition between stores might mean lower costs for publishers, and the competition may very well be beneficial for customers, but that doesn't mean lower prices and bigger discounts.

LEGO Hobbit was fine. Lots of open world stuff to do. Maybe not as good as the other titles from around the same time, but still fine. Pity it was tied to such poor movies that the third movie DLC was cancelled, but that was for the best. How in the heck do you manage to make the Battle of Five Armies a yawn?

I'll message you about those codes. That's how I got most of the LEGO games myself.

Well, I played every LEGO game up til about 2 years ago. And Hobbit was the only one I couldn't stomach to 100%, because it was just so boring. If it had been based on the books instead of the greatly expanded movies, it would have been better.

LotR was one of the best LEGO games from that era though.

And this is coming from a former Tolkien buff (just look at my name).

A game based just on the book would have been rather short on content, to be fair.

Anyway, Radagast was fun. I liked Radagast in the movies, too, and really wish he hadn't been introduced as part of such a mess. A series with Sylvster McCoy as Radagast would be neat.

One of my co-workers is currently eating a Wendy's frosty with french fries. Immediately thought of you fucking weirdos and pineapple pizza. Hope yall have a merry Christmas and that kind of stuff

Went to a Taco Bell one time with some people and there was a Braums next door (sorta like a Dairy Queen) and this dude goes over there and gets a chocolate malt, brings it into the Taco Bell and orders whatever their big plate of nachos is called and pours the freaking malt onto the nachos and eats it.  Like, what in the actual fuck is wrong with you dude?

Til; there is more people other than my co-worker Cindy that are wiling to, on their own, pay for their physician's yacht

So much yes. McCoy is great.

Do you mean dipping the fries into the frosty? Because otherwise, that just sounds kind-of normal.

Heck, I used to dip fries into the chili from Wendy's. That's probably why I have so many intestinal issues today.

That's a waste of a great malt.

And it's an insult to Braums to compare it to Dairy Queen.

Wait, y'all think using a fry as a spoon on a Wendy's frosty is *not* normal?

I mean, I dont do it anymore because Wendy's new 'natural' fries are kinda gross if not covered with chili, but I used to do that all the time as a young'un.

Fries with a Frosty, fries with chili, fries on salad (which I've been doing for like 25 years and and only just now learned is a Pittsburgh thing)... these are all perfectly acceptable and you're a weirdo if you don't like them.

Speaking of chili, my nearby Costco started carrying it in the food court a couple months back. I've never been a big chili eater but that stuff is legit.

I didn't know it was just a Pittsburgh thing either...

I've got things like that (steak salad mainly, it's basically steak-ums, fries, and mozzarella cheese on a salad) from local pizza places my whole life.

Back to the fries and frosty thing, to me, it tastes similar to a chocolate covered pretzel.

So that case I listed, while inexpensive, apparently only comes with one fan. Looked at some higher end cases that come with a couple of fans:

https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-CARBIDE-Micro-ATX-Mini-ITX-High-Airflow/dp/B00LA6WXEO/

- or - kewl glass model (albeit in white because the black one is $30 more)

https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-CRYSTAL-Micro-ATX-Tempered-Glass/dp/B07CL9WFWC/

I like the shape of these since they seem less cumbersome to move around and carry.

Nice to see another Lego freebie on Humble. Made sure to redeem it ASAP, given stock issues on some of their past recent freebies. I hope to see the Lego Harry Potter games as freebies next, as those seem more appealing to me. I recently completed Lego City Undercover, which definitely reeled me in more than the typical Lego title eg. Marvel Superheroes. Mediocre PC port, but the quality of the open world and the disguise system was easier to use than the shifting between characters that's been characteristic of the TT Lego titles. Definitely a recommended deep sale buy. Unfortunately the current Steam sale price is higher than the price during a past Lego Steam sale.

Is there a way to bulk list all cards at the same price? I have about 400 cards just sitting on the market not selling at 3 cents. I wanna just sell them for 2 cents a piece or even 1 cent if I have to, just to get something out of it.

Or a way to sell bulk cards for TF2/CSGO keys?

A lot of stuff on my wishlist don't seem have dropped that much in price, and I don't feel like price history checking.

Meh, I think I am going to mostly pass, there is quite a lot of $4.99+ stuff that I don't feel like playing anytime soon.

I use Tamper Monkey to run Steam Economy Enhancer. Works great.

Playing through the Mass Effect games for the very first time in 2018 (currently on ME3), I'd say they are fun games to play. Why the 'poo-pooing' of them?
ME3's base-game ending is horrible, for a game that supposed to be the final game in Shepard's otherwise out-standing trilogy. It's as if the rumors of ME Writing Team were broken-off from Casey Hudson were true.

While I ain't played ME3's DLC's - I would guess, those were probably built to do a better job w/ giving closure to Shepard and his crew. Maybe someone else could speak on that?

Also, ME:A is good - but it ain't even close to ME Trilogy's league in many ways. There were a lot more problems w/ ME:A before I bought it, though - which include all the weirdness w/ the animations, eyeballs, cut-scenes, and whatnot. A fair amount of that stuff was changed or fixed, when I played it.

It's also worth mentioning: ME:A is not much of a ME Title, TBH. So a lot of those ME fans looking for out-standing characters, story, narrative, side-quests, main story, and actual decision-making/choice - yeah, not a chance; not here. It's bare bones on that stuff. It became more of an open-world UbiSoft game; even more so than DAI actually did (compared to DAO and DA2). While combat improved immensely in ME:A....they forgot the other things that make ME games great, which is pretty much everything else.

EDIT:

I think the caveat to playing a Mass Effect game is that it's a Mass Effect game.

e.g.

"Dude that game looks pretty good."

"...it's a Mass Effect game."
Except there's this one thing: ME:A is really not much of a Mass Effect game.

See last paragraph before the EDIT for more details.

3c the minimum you can sell the cards for to actually make anything from them. At 2c you receive nothing as the 2c is gobbled as fees.

There's bound to be people who'll buy them in bulk, I think some of those "level up service" bots also buy cards. Otherwise you could consider turning them into gems or selling them to me for a sack of gems. :p (Although let's be honest, it's probably not worth the effort of getting them into a trade offer unless a bot does it for you.)

Yeah I meant 2c or 1c after fees and whatnot haha. I turned some of the more valuable cards into gems and sold a few sacks and am relisting a lot of cards right now at rock bottom prices.

No, the ME3 dlc is mainly about fanservice - which admittedly is pretty gratifying once you've been invested in the characters for the series.

Anyway, I also love the games (ME1/3 = 9/10, ME2 = 10/10). ME3's ending was bad. Slightly less bad with the extended patch.

Andromeda wasn't great, it was good only insofar as it adhered to the forumla of previous games. Had some serious shortcomings. 7/10, probably less now that everything's cancelled and the plot gaps will never be filled in.

I'm the guy who owns and still wears my N7 hoodie. Need another real game.
