Found all of them to be better than I expected, but Eliminator Boat Duel was the biggest surprise. Some of the rubberband AI BS can be undone with rewind so you don't have to start over when you get a game over. Shadow of the Ninja wasn't as hard as I was expecting, but it's a neat mix of Ninja Gaiden and Mega Man. Twinbee's a solid cutesy shmup that can be sneaky hard if you're not paying enough attention to avoiding shots. Smash Tennis is a standard tennis game that is all right.

I enjoyed watching you play Pop N Twinbee. I remember importing that game from Japan back when it was released. I think I read about it in EGM magazine in their international coverage section and it looked really cool to me.

One note about your game play. One reason you had so much trouble with the boss is you took a ton of damage before the fight started by hovering over the boss. I assume you were distracted by what you were saying. I agree with your commentary about the boss music being very similar to Turtles in time.

I got Johnny Turbo's Arcade: Express Raider from the sale. It's the 1986 arcade game titled "express raider" from Data East. This is a VERY fun and unique game! It was doing invoative things 6 years before sunset riders released, and before future western video games. Highly recommended!

Cool, I'll have to keep an eye out for that one next sale. I picked up Night Slashers myself. Its a gory arcade game I had no idea even existed until recently. Can't believe I missed it in the arcades back then - would have played it a ton!

It's good for newbies since it's easy and has items to help you out if you need it, but as a vet, it's too easy with no difficulty options. I just burned through the 100 puzzles at launch without using items and had no real issues. It's also not an RPG like it claims.

This can't be said enough. The page says the game has a "light RPG twist" but that is soooo not true at all. There is no leveling, no skills, no gear or equipment, nothing really. I suppose they say that because some of the puzzles are combat focused where if you mess up an enemy will attack you and take away HP (or attack you if you take too long uncovering a square), but that is just a small part of the game. Most levels are just normal old puzzles.

It's not a bad game at all but it is very easy and doesn't have much content. Really the biggest problem the game has is that there are so many other options out there.

I find some of the 15x15 boss puzzles give me some trouble, but many are still pretty easy. My collection is at 54.6% complete according to the app...

Also playing before bed makes every puzzle a bit harder as the brain slows down.

Same over here! Being my first picross game, I'm having a lot of fun with the puzzles and the lore behind each image. Currently at about 15%.

My favorite of the cheaper nonogram/picross games is Pic-a-Pix Deluxe. It has a demo and while the music is an infinite loop, I turned that off and just enjoy the game. It has both traditional black and white puzzles and color puzzles and even without touching the paid dlc has a ton of content. Well worth checking out since, again, it has a demo.

I was close to buying it before as well. I watched a few videos on youtube and still have mixed feelings. It's basically a resource management sim... which could be kind of cool, but I still can't bring myself to buy it.

If you buy it, give it a play and maybe come back and throw some comments up about it. It might be enough to push me over the edge to try it out.

Do note the gameplay is bit different for previous MH in terms of usability really. The prices seem OK. They are always a bit cheap physically so really it's how much you want them.  Not a huge investment if you don't like it honestly.

I don't think it's dipped below that ever. It's been out for years.

It's completely worth $30. It's damned fun to play on the Switch. I own it on every available platform. It's one of my favorite games of all time. I'm biased, BUT.... I've put more time into the Switch version than any other one because of its portability.

Yeah, it's Shovel Dig, and not much else for me, as this looks cool, I'm just not in to those types of drop puzzle games. But for those who are, this looks like a worthy addition to the genre, no question. Now bring on the SK RPG, and I'll be set.

Those prices are ridiculously low.
4 Ultimate is one of the best in the series.
I would get 3U as well since you probably don't own a WiiU.
Generations Ultimate is the biggest game in the series to date but you should get the Switch version instead.

This one is a bit less varied than Lord of Nazrick from the other day: has no story or color puzzles, and a lot of the puzzles are character faces.

It is still well worth a look if you’re into these games, it is just as solid a gameplay experience, and the puzzle-solving BGM is downright hypnotic.

Got mine on Tuesday. Works well, but the one issue is the lack of Home/Screenshot buttons so that you can get out of games you're playing with it and you can't turn the Switch on with it. The SNES/NES apps just remap the ZL/ZR for those buttons, so at least those apps make up for it.
