Sony won't do this for a few reasons. It would kill the PS4 in Japan and they don't have the infrastructure for it like MS does. They'll just leave it up to the publishers.

I'm not worried about this at all. Kinect has zero chance of being the next big thing. There is a lot of reasons for this but I am sure most of them were already covered in this thread.

I skip all games that do this kind of stuff. Plenty of games to play that don't try to piss on my rights. Edit: Also this screws over multiple users in the same household. So far on PS3 all of these codes have only been good for one EA account. What about families that share a console? Sorry...
