They have to be - it's called diversification. The sad truth is that GAME and Gamestation aren't going to last for much longer if they continue to only sell games.
HMV aren't going the way of Border's just yet. They're still making 10s of millions of profit, but it's not enough to keep the...
Do amazon.com store prices include sales tax or not? If not, and we subtract the 20% VAT from the UK price, that gives ~ £183, so in real terms it would only be about £30 different.
Still bloody expensive, though.
All of the big names like Play.com, GAME and Amazon are taking pre-orders for the Collector's Edition and/or the Signature Edition. Play.com even has the 320GB slim + Collector's Edition console bundle.
If you're intending to get this and haven't already, it might be a good idea to grab it now from one of the remaining places that has it for less than £40 (like Gamestation).
My order from HMV was cancelled, stating that it was no longer in stock and that they weren't expecting to get any more...

If it wasn't for this, I'd have asked you if it was definitely the Black Phantom edition. Retailers are taking preorders for the vanilla edition now for £20+

Pre-order for £25.95 at Zavvi.
