I'm using mine for my gaming PC monitor.  It has a small cluster of dead pixels somewhat near the middle of the screen, but other than that it has worked perfectly since I got it when Gamestop had them for $200. MjC

I don't know if it's a bug or intentional. The only thing you can't do is use your balance on the website. You must make your purchases directly on your xbox console to be able to use your credit balance. MjC

You cannot currently buy anything on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console. It's pretty dumb. Hopefully it'll be fixed at some point in time. MjC
