Thank you! I tried this on Goldeneye and it worked!
I got an N64, Mario Party, Super Mario 64, Star Fox 64, Donkey Kong 64, Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Goldeneye for $10. Now that I know I can fix the games, I can honestly say that was a good deal.
Mm so. I went to a garage sale and I was happy to buy a Nintendo 64 and about six first party titles. Today when I went to test them and see how they were, not a single one worked. Not a single one. "No problem," I thought. I'll just clean the pins gently with a q-tip and a little alcohol. None...
Went to a few sales today. There are a lot of subdivision sales being advertised, but the two that I went to are running Thurs./Fri./Sat. and I'm guessing that most people will wait until tomorrow or Sat. to put their stuff out. I did manage to snag "Walking Dead" hard cover graphic novels...
I am intrigued by the idea of buying storage units but the initial cost is so high (or so it seems to me) and I have an irrational fear of finding a dead body buried underneath the debris.
This weekend is kind of a blur. Memorial Day weekend is pretty big sale-wise around here, but oddly I didn't go to that many.
Thursday: Bought a few Gameboy Advance games from a guy that buys out storage units. Just bought the Nintendo staples. He had Super Mario Advance, Donkey Kong Country...
Thanks, I will look into that! I live in fear that my mother will fall behind in her storage locker payments because all my toys from the 80's/90's are in there. I live 2000 miles away from her so retrieving them atm is not an option.
Went to a sub-division sale, was pretty fun especially since it wasn't pouring down rain today. Got a lot of stuff including Smash Brothers Brawl & Mario Kart Wii for $5 ea. and the nice guy at the sale also let me have a big Dialga (Pokemon) plush for free.
Picked up a TI-84 Plus Silver...
Slightly off-topic. Okay it is OT. I would like a disc resurfacer. I pass up on games at Goodwill and whatnot because they look scary. Best Buy used games always look amazing but I'm sure they have something that costs thousands of dollars. I was hoping for something that is $200 or less and...
It poured rain today. I forced myself to go out figuring that I was sure to find something awesome since everyone else would stay at home. Nope. It was raining cats, dogs and resellers. I bought a bunch of stuff including a stack of PS2 games for $1-2 ea. Nothing rare or exciting. What I have...
I had a modest find today. Saw an ad on Craig's List and realized it was the same sale that a few brightly colored signs corresponded to. The ad specified "NES Games" and I tried to play it cool with myself and miserably failed. Showed up half an hour early and the lady was just setting up. She...
Don't give up! Memorial Day weekend is just around the corner...my area usually explodes with garage sales on that weekend, hopefully yours does too.
I bought a "leather" jacket for $3 today. Didn't think to check the tag until after and it's made out of poly-whatever, oops. It's not a bad...
No video game stuff today. I bought a couple of DK LEGO hard cover books, one Star Wars, one boxed set that's some kind of LEGO history. The Star Wars one has a mini-fig of Luke Skywalker in his end of Episode IV ceremony outfit. $8 for the both of them.
I would like to make some sort of law...
