I remember having this game, you need to install KZ1 but need to disc to play it so your safe. KZ2 and 3 are on the disc.. the only thing I think that are codes are the DLCs which are for mostly multiplayer maps/extras.

I am a noob in Skyladers world but I am pretty sure if the character has a series 1 counterpart it would work with the Original Skylanders. Giants defenitely won't work on the orginal as well as the newer Skylanders like Chill and Jet-Vac. Some are labeled not to work with the original...

Ah i see, probably just the amazon digital version. Bought a couple of retail versions and gave keys to friends outside of USA and they didn't have problems activating them.
