Question regarding console trade ins. Is the value on the Best Buy site for just the console and AC adapter? No controller?

Went to Wal-Mart, out of stock. Took a picture of the price, went to Best Buy, had it price matched no problem. Manager okayed it himself. Free twenty games and ten dollar GC (reward zone GC) to compensate for taxes.

Haha. You left out the part where the PS3 version miraculously has better responsiveness during sequences where the framerate drops across both versions. But seriously, it's all about controller preference. Which is why I went with the PS3 version (since I hate the 360 bumpers with a passion'...

Dual layered BD are 50 and not many games use that. Most use the 25 GB SL. Pretty much the same. Controller preference really.

I wouldn't hold my breath for Amazon to price match it. Especially if Amazon factors in the $5 shipping. And ESPECIALLY if it isn't available online. And the PS3 version isn't any more.

Haha. It's 2.8 GB not 28 GB. 28 GB is actually larger than the Blu-ray disc (which is a 25 GB). And I'm still going for the PS3 version because I don't really like the bumpers on the 360 controller (and they figure heavily into the game).

It takes me ten to fifteen minutes. And it is a pain in the ass to make a trip when you have a job.

I'm personally hoping for the the shiny trio to be available through Wi-fi around the same time as Europe. I don't want to make a trip for a bunch of shiny's I won't use. But I will make the trip for Celebi.

It's guaranteed to be a ghost town on the 360 as well. Any game not named CoD is decimated weeks after launch. Hell, Halo Reach's population saw a significant decrease weeks after launch as well (and splintered even more with the release of a map pack).

A side note for those who want the game on the PS3: there will be timed exclusive DLC for the 360. This may or may not impact your decision to purchase at launch for the PS3.

I doubt that there will be any kind of GotY release for Alan Wake. While I liked the game, it didn't sell well enough to warrant a new SKU. But 200 points for The Writer? Bought.

Namco Bandai USA must be bleeding money with all these sales bombs that they've released. Not that I'm complaining. Sales bombs, means price drops!
