Mythology by Edith Hamilton is excellent for Greek mythology. There's also a smaller section on Norse mythology at the end of the book. It's a good starting point if you haven't read Homer, Virgil, Ovid, etc. The Power of Myth by Joseph Campbell is an interesting read as well.

I wish they'd do a deal like this for the BBC sets. Waiting for the 20% off sale to pick up Doctor Who Series 4 and Torchwood Series 2.

I love this thread. Two more books just made their way onto my wish list. Actually, make that three, I just realized I've never read Atlas Shrugged. I thought I had. Liberation looks particularly interesting. I've been on a bit of a dystopian kick lately.

I watched a lot of The Price is Right, Double Dare and Family Feud as a kid. Now the only game show I watch regularly is Jeopardy, although I do catch Deal or No Deal occasionally.

I do this in bookstores, a lot. I think it's a carryover from working in a library when I was younger. Not so much at GameStop, though. I have a get in / get what I want / get out mentality when it comes to that store.

I just started Elantris by Brandon Sanderson. I picked it up last spring after reading rave reviews on LibraryThing. I can't believe it's taken me so long to get to it.
