Sony is stocking a lot better than before but you couldn't just walk into a store whenever you wanted to get one like with xbox one. Only recently have I started to see ps4 out in the wild
In my experience it was the same for a One. I looked around for about a month, never found them in stock, then got lucky buying the last one in a local Target, then a week later finding it cheaper at Costco and returned the unopened Target one. I'm sure we all have different levels of availability and experiences in finding the consoles.

Likely but for a lot of people the Xbox one has been in stores since a week or 2 before Christmas. Its been in stock on best buy.com since that time

This is pathetic, even Saul's vacuum cleaner repairman can't hide Microsoft's shame.

Who in their right mind would downgrade to a XBone? It would had been less embarrassing to beg.

oh just stop with the fucking fanboy crap.

If you don't think it's a good trade in value and it doesn't suit you, then fine, but it's not a downgrade.

Maybe not for you, but it is for me.
Keep sayin that while Xbone owners will be playin Titanfall and you playin Knack. I don't have one yet, but I will definitely be in on the Titanfall Console when it gets around. How can you call it a downgrade at all lmao, just because there are no games for it? There are no games for either consoles out right now. Hell, a WiiU looks more worth paying the full $300 for with the games out for it rn than PS4 or Xbone.

You understand you're not getting an unrestricted $100 credit to the MS store right?

To receive maximum trade in value, you must purchase an Xbox One at the same time.
This is the part that got me too. In one part of the email it sounds like $100 credit. Then the part above makes it sounds like you have to purchase an X1.

I actually bought my X1 from the M$ store at launch. I'm gonna call over there tomorrow and ask about this promo. Got an old PS3 that *might* power on. Worth a shot if I can get a $100 windows card.

I think I'm going to jump in. We have a Microsoft store in the Glendale Galleria. I have an old 360 I'd like to trade in.

I agree. I traded my jet engine PS3 fat to BB when they did their $100 promo. There is the occasional game that pops up on PS+ that I would play buy honestly I wasn't using it much and don't miss it. I did most of my gaming on my 360. I wasn't interested in the One and still am not. If I was though I would trade my 360 or PS3 towards it. I haven't played my 360 more then an hour since getting my PS4 and let my Gold lapse earlier this month.

I think this is a decent deal for someone already in the market for a One, especially if they have an old unused console lying around. I have a PS3 super-slim that I use as my primary Sony device, and another crusty old phat I could use to trade in (after all, it doesn't specify the applicable models of PS3s). However, despite primarily being an Xbox user I have almost zero interest in the One until the inevitable redesign and price drop (also, uh, some games worth dropping the cash for...).

Several posts have been removed here without a trace. Mine, specifically, was like yours, only in the form of an image.

Do mods think we wouldn't remember what was posted here or something? Did they forget Notifications was a thing? They need to fucking speak up when they do shit. This is no way to moderate a forum. Stop being lazy.

My local GS is sitting on 4 used XB1's, all traded in for PS4's & they also have 80% of the XB1 disc library available used.

I'm sure there are other stores that are the direct opposite, but this is the 2nd highest volume store in STL that did more than 1/2 of its business last gen on 360.

As I said before if this was really about loyalty & not being at the whims of the company they contract with then they would take old 360's & not just the current ones. (MS did this promo w/tablets for Christmas.)

Anyone that does this I would HIGHLY recommend making sure all your info is wiped or you could have your system & XBL account be used for fishing/hacking purposes like other CAG's have had happen to them on BB trades/recycling.

Im sure theyll continue with disc drives as theyre probably curious as to "test" how well an all digital device would do first.
They have no choice but to keep selling the disc drive systems otherwise they`ll kill the off XB1 completely.

" Furthermore, a discless Xbox One would almost certainly not be carried at stores trying to push the very products it's trying to make obsolete."
Why would BB, Target, Walmart or GS even stock the discless model? Even if B&M retailers sold game cards the majority of people wouldn`t bother making a special trip just to buy a game card. Without pre-order credit there`s no reason too. EA could easily offer $10 credit on their own for a $5 pre-order, offer the best pre-order DLC(missions/characters) & they don`t even have to offer a refund your $5 will just be locked into a EA purchase.
Once there`s a digital only mainsteam device there`s gonna be a 10-14 yr old who gets mad & hacks the network. They will ruin everyones fun b/c of a temper tantrum. Not only that there`s far too many people who don`t have internet that can cut it.
The link shows they need to proceed with caution b/c Sony clearly knows that`t not the right move for 2014 & any major mistake like that gives them this gen. MS had to really backtrack after E3 they should keep that in mind going forward.

Microsoft is bound and determined to go down the rough road that they already did a 180 on back in June of last year.

My PS3 is worth a lot more then $100. In fact, I think I'd rather have it more then a Xbox One at this point.
