With Black Friday coming up you can find a great deal on both then.

Is $40 the best normal deal for PS+ 1 year? I haven't really paid much attention to these deals in the past so other than Black Friday type stuff does the price ever drop lower than that?

I bought ps+ for $30 last black friday actually bought 3 years worth it was too good of a deal to pass up. $40 is about the best you'll find on xbl. I'm personally waiting because I'm not even going to start my xbl susbscription back up until jan 1st. That way I'll always know when it's going to expire
