$1200 for a PC Keyboard???!?! oh #^&* that!

The Optimus Keyboard! Does it have the matrix of leadership inside of it?

Megatron Keyboard must be stopped no matter what the cost!

You got the touch!
You got the pow-ER!
After all is said and done
You've never walked, you've never run
You're a winner

I thought that was all ready out...though its been many many months since I first saw about it. But damn thats a lot of money. For 1200 bucks it better give me a blowjob and cup my balls while it does it...

It better do a lot more than that for $1200.

That $200 dollar one was for like a six keyboard verison. Really, what did you all expect for a full keyboard when they were charging that much for a six key one.

I believe he is referring to the comment they made when they first announced the Optimus, that it would cost less than a good cell phone. It was posted in the official faq but they discreetly removed that little bit of information after they realized that they were out of their minds.

$1,200 for a keyboard? Damn. I just dropped $55 or so on a new Logitech G15 (which should be here any day) and still felt like I was overpaying for a keyboard, no matter how fancy it is.

Now $55 sounds like a bargain.

Maybe it was a typo and they mean "A good mobile home"?

I could see $300 for it had they not gotten rid of the launcher buttons and color displays on the keys, but $1200 for a version vastly inferior to what they had promised?
No thanks.

i read the info site...... 4-5 year life time...for 1200 bucks I better have a LIFE TIME WARRENTY!

Too bad my fingers get oily.

Seeing how originally it was suppose to be 300 bucks, this keyboard doesn't justify the price for the *wowness* factor. Plus if some asshole writes some crazy code (since I heard teh software was going to be open source so anyone could write programs for it), and bricks your keyboard, you will be fuckED :(

I knew this would never work out when they originally started talking about... maybe in another 5 years, they'll be able to deliver what they actually promised.

off topic, since i'm looking to pick up a g15...is the keyboard loud, as in when you type on it, does it make thundering booming noises? my microsoft keyboard from the late 1990's is a goddamn environmental sound making machine

I love my G15.

Yea... $300 for the full color keyboard would have been reasonable-ish. $1200 for a monochrome (actually probably just black and white) is rediculous. Lose.

My Logitech G15 just came in the mail and it's pretty sweet. I haven't used it too much at this point but so far so good. I like how the keyboard glows a cool blue (it makes my Razer Copperhead perfectly) and it's pretty quiet while you type on it. So far for $55 it seems like a pretty good pick-up.
