For what it is worth, I just ordered the HGST Travelstar 7k1000 1tb. $54.99. I just could not make myself go for Seagate. Maybe their failure rates are better now than they used to be. I don't know. Maybe the Seagate/Samsung M9T 2tb would be OK. I don't know. But I just couldn't pull the trigger on an order for a Seagate product.

Biggest drive you can put in a PS3 is 1.5TB. 2TB won't format correctly on the PS3 OS.
can you suggest a 1.5 tb drive for me to buy

OP, the only other one is the Hitachi 5K1500, which is no longer being made and is near-impossible to find any longer. It's the one I'm using in my PS3.
