Today, Sept. 2, woot.com has the 20 Gigabyte Apple iPod by HP on sale for $99.99 plus $5 shipping.
A couple things:
-Yes, iPod by HP. A few years ago Apple let HP rebrand a bunch of iPods for a fee, hoping people would see HP and think "Oh! It must work with my PC!"
-Yes, it's refurb. But for the price how can you argue? Additionally, as a refurb it will have a FRESH battery, the value of which should not be underestimated. Apple refurbs are generally awesome, and it comes with everything it should as noted by woot.com.
That said, I had a 3rd gen 15 gig iPod and I loved it. Only upgraded once the iPod video came out. I'm actually considering downgrading for this price. 20 Gigs of music, the clickwheel, great battery life because no video screen. All in all, I think it's a good deal if you're in the market for a music player.
