I don't think another thread like this has been made. If it has, then hopefully this will bring attention to that thread. Anyway...

Use this thread to talk about stuff that has happened in the past year. It can be something that happened to you or someone you know... or of course, it can be a news item or such that affected many people.

And now... you may do what the referee in the picture below says. ;)

You want us to dress up like Ron Jeremy and begin a Russian folk dance?

My year had its major ups and downs. I got to attend WrestleMania 21 and all 3 days of E3, which was awesome. I finally made some friends here after moving here in November 2004. I met an amazing girl and we got engaged in mid-August. I turned 21 in July, and that has led to a lot of fun times.

On the other hand, most of those friends turned out to be assholes who I wanted nothing to do with. I continue to hate my job, and worst of all by far, my 18 year old sister has been missing for almost 6 months.

My year was pretty ok...until yesterday, when I went to the local Target. I wanted to buy one of those big soft pretzels they had in the snack area, but upon reaching the counter, the lady informed me that the pretzels "were not warm enough yet" and wouldn't be ready for another 10 minutes or so. When I asked about the pretzel in the display window, she said it was display only and not for sale.

And that, my friends, is why 2005 was the worst year of my life (so far).

Alright, let me think of some highlights.

I became an co-administrator of a gaming site (link's in my sig), got a lot of cheap games (thanks to this wonderful site of course), got an NES for the first time since I was a kid, replaced my GBA with a GBA SP, made a couple new friends, lost about 25 lbs, got my wisdom teeth removed, and got more magazine subscriptions than anyone I know (again, thanks to this wonderful site).

So yeah, it wasn't bad.
