Welcome to my 2008 Suicide Baseball contest. This is another great chance for one of you lucky CAGs to win some fabulous prizes. Here's how it works:
Much like Admiral Ackbar's popular Suicide Football contest, all you have to do is pick one MLB team each week. In order to advance, your team must win 4 games in the given week (Weeks wil run Monday - Sunday.) If your team wins 4 games, you advance on and get to pick for the next week's games. If your team does not win 4 games, you're out.
It is your responsibility to check the MLB schedules. If you pick a team, and they only play 5 games that week...that's too bad, they still have to win 4 games.
Also, if your team happens to have some rain outs in a given week, they still have to win 4 games, that's just a part of the deal.
You may only pick each team one time, ie, if you pick the redsox in week #1, you cannot pick them again for the remainder of the season.
Players will also have one bye week. You can elect to use your bye week at any time. Using your bye week will automatically advance you to the next week. Also, should a player not get their pick in before Monday @ 8 AM, their bye will be forced upon them for that week.
Since there isn't a week between games in the MLB, you may make your next week's pick starting on wednesday. Just post your next team and I'll sort it all out on monday.
On monday mornings I will make a time stamped post to the effect of "Week #1 now set" When I make that post, you are not allowed to edit your posts for any reason until I give the OK for new picks on Wednesday. If, during that time, you edit your pick for any reason you will be eliminated immediately.
Finally, the last person standing will be the winner and receive a fabulous prize consisting of an XBOX 360 Arcade System and other random prizes.
So, if you would like in, just post your week #1 team in this thread before May 5th. Week #1 will run from May 5th to May 11th. I will take entries until May 10th, but players who join late will lose their bye week.
Please ask any questions that you have before the contest starts.
