250 GB Hard Drive from BuySpot?

I just stumbled across this listing for a 250GB Hard Drive at an online store called BuySpot:

Have any of you bought from them before? I'm tempted to pick this up, but I want to get some opinions on the store and their service (or maybe even the hard drive they're selling) before I drop my credit card number there. Any experiences?

I'm pretty sure none of these are OEM. It's just people buying the WD 250GB HD, an Xbox HD shell, and then using the tools on the net to apply the signature file.

Ah, thanks for the info. I hadn't even looked into this modding stuff for the hard drives. So, in theory, I could do pretty much the same thing and the drive would work on my Xbox?

It should, but though I'm not sure but I think some people had problems and getting banned from Live as if it was a modded system. Just look around, it might just have been something else I'm confusing about this. Though think quite a few people have done it and had no problem.

Though I guess the risk is always there.

Hmm... I definitely don't want to lose my gamerscore and profile. If only MS had gone the Sony route with hard drives. Gah.

fake hard drives are being shut down so that they no longer work i believe, so you would possibly be wasting time and money, but they are not banning accounts for this as you could have un-knowingly bought a fake hd from somewhere. but i could be wrong.
