360 Hard Drive Question...

I'm having some issues with my 360 and I think that the Hard Drive is corrupt...I've tried the cache clear etc....still probs...

what happens to my stuff if I reformat the hard drive?? obviously its gone...but the only stuff I care about is the xbox live arcade games I've purchased....will I be able to download them again without paying??? ie are the purchases just tied to your live account? or tied to the Hard Drive???

You should be able to just download them again with no problem.
