Just got the Monster Hunter 4 demo code email as well. And I do have MH3U registered to CN, not sure if that affected my being sent the codes or not though.

I never got around to playing Monster Hunter 3 so I guess I won't get the email with the demo. I guess I'll just wait and see if they put the demo on the E-Shop eventually.

Have those sega 3d games ever gone on sale?
I've never seen one for them. I ended up getting the last two games I was missing from the first wave last week. Maybe after this new wave comes out they will combine them all in one retail package for $40? Just a thought (I wouldn't count on it).

Arrgh, if only I hadn't waited to register Monster Hunter 3.  Anyone have a spare code they'd be willing to send my way?  I'd love you forever and ever!  Just don't tell my fiance...

Would be nice if people would post which codes they used so others don't waste time trying to do the same. Your other 2 got lurked sain.

If anyone has an extra I'd appreciate one

Posted this in the Club Ninty thread, too:

I just received an email from Nintendo with 3 extra early access Monster Hunter 4 demo codes. First 3 CAGs to PM me each get one.

*Doing it this way because lurkers.

Oh my goodness Afterburner 2? 3D? I don't think I can resist. ABC was outstanding on 360 and it's a crying shame that never got ported off that awful system.

Let's put this as reletively objectinally as possible.

It's 'metroidvania' style, even the map screen looks a lot like Super Metroid. It's not fully so, as the game is broken up into islands, and in each island is a dungeon as well as a couple other areas scattered throughout. There's also a stealth section, as well as a section where you have to avoid obsticles and one hit kills you, returning to you the beginning of the screen.

Similar to other Metroidvanias you gain abilities as you progress, and can go back and get to previously inaccesible areas with said abilities.

There are two endings, the good/canon one dependant on collectables. One will likely put in around 10 hours 100%ing it on their first time, though often you will save time by exploring and finding things before the story 'wants' you to.

Finishing the game, with either ending, unlocks Pirate Mode which is a new game but you keep the five ability upgrades you find in the dungeons.

There are four wallpaper unlocks, depending on how you finish the game.

There are a few secrets, but only two of real note.

The tone of the game is overall lighthearted, with a lot of humor and references (including a certain 80s thing everyone loves when they come across it...)

Now my option -- The game play, IMO, is extremely fluid and just all around a joy to play. While I've only played it as much as I have because of speed running, to ME the game never really gets old (save the obstacle section), While in a sense it feels 'light' -- like it;s lacking a lot of the...fullness...a game like Super Metroid or SOTN has, at the same time (especially in the secrets department) it nonetheless doesn't feel like a half-finished game or anything of that nature.
I think we reach the same point from opposite directions. It doesn't do anything wrong, it's frivolous and carefree. Looks and sounds great. Plays light. My issue is just that the platforming feels so simple and straightforward and rote that even NSMB2 feels more exciting than it. Even at $15, I still say Shovel Knight is a far better buy. And going down the price-range Gunvolt is better than Shantae despite its own numerous problems.

If you were playing a speedrunning game of optimizing routes and remembering where and when to come back to X or Y, almost turning the game into a more colorful version of the first act of REmake, then I could actually see it being more fun.

Not a deal, but I'm convinced the controls on Smash Bros for 3DS suck regardless of whether you play it on a 2DS or a 3DS. The game is pretty neat but hitting the right buttons has never been this much of a chore in a Smash Bros game before.

I'm probably really late to the party, but the special Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire demo with the promotional Pokemon is available for anyone to download for free as of now (the demo that was originally part of the buy a Pokemon game promo).

Also, Pokemon Shuffle is free and available on the eShop as of today, I think.

Anyone have any luck getting that Eon Ticket?

Welcome back to the peasant territories, Bobby.

I should have resisted.

What's everyones opinion on the new yoshi island on sale for 29 ?
I heard nothing but bad things about it so I figured I had to investigate myself. I yuutuubed the final boss of it and was shocked and offended.

You remember YI1's final battle? Of COURSE they would rehash that. But imagine if it was done by people who had absolutely no idea why that was so cool and probably only a tenuous grasp of what cool is.

And I'm fervently backplaying every NSMB game because NSMBU was so good so it's not like I'm a total snob. It just looked so bad I wanted nothing to do with it.

I didn't get Monster Hunter demo codes. Weird. I didn't get Smash Bros codes either last year. I wonder why that is. I've been a Platinum Club Nintendo member for as long as the service has been running in the US.

Nintendo really does hate me, jeez.

You and me both. Thankfully, a kind soul here was generous enough to share one of his codes with me. If I *do* eventually get the email, however unlikely that may be, I'll be sure to return the favor.

Do you have email notification turned on?

I have two extra codes for Monster hunter 4 demo, if anyone wants one, pm me, or post here, I learned a while ago not to post codes here, because of lurkers.

I like YNI a fair bit, but it's really damned hard to collect everything (for me), so when I bought Kirby Triple Deluxe I didn't go back to YNI. One day I'll finish it though.

AIR (as I recall), the ds game was far worse about making collectibles hard to get.

I kinda want two codes to see if we'd want to play it, but I'm not sure we'd get to it before the game actually comes out, so it'd probably be wasted.

I'll decide and then formally ask =P

Any free downloads from eShop that generates a club nintendo survey recently?  I have 395 points and want another 400-point 3DS game case.  I registered Theatrhythm Curtain Call yesterday, so I might get a secondary post-play survey for that soon...

I enjoyed the MH4 demo. I actually killed the monster, which I never managed in the demo of MH3. Granted, I was playing on Beginner mode.

I think I'll get Monster Hunter 3 at some point now. Or just skip it and start with 4.

Skip it and start with 4. It's the right choice just because it has online play and 3 doesn't. Playing with others is a huge part of the experience.

I have two extra Monster Hunter codes so PM me if you want one.

All gone.

I'm gonna troll here just because Monster Hunter triggers me: Almost any one boss in Ys 7 is more fun than a dozen MonHun bosses.

I mean it.

Back to your regularly scheduled thread.

I am aroused by boss battles in the dirtiest of all possible ways despite my distaste for the series. So I don't want a code at the expense of a genuine desirer but I do want to informally ask if we know when the demo will be unleashed to the unwashed masses? How long did Smash demo take if anyone knows?
