Picked up Damrey, Friday Monsters and Bugs vs Tanks. I don't see anyone talking about Crazy Construction, but its actually pretty fun, and its very quirky/japanese. Its similar to Trash Panic but opposite. Here you stack random junk up to meet a bar without it all falling over. There's a demo for it. That's what sold me on it a few months ago.
I picked up Crazy Construction, great price at $2.99. Also, Friday Monstres, Damrey, and Liberation Maiden...I'm still undecided and going back and forth with Bugs vs. Tanks and Crimson Shroud.

I enjoyed the security of switching to my 32 GB SD card and having over 200,000 blocks of space.

You totally just sold me on this, downloading it now. Excited to start it up later, thanks!

To add to the memory card discussion, I highly doubt anyone would ever need more than 8GB(which is what I have). I've got:

13 NES games

10 GBA games

6 3D Classics

19 GB games

17 DSiWare games

17 eShop games

2 3DS full games

6 GBC games

as well as all the 3DS-centric apps & my card is still only half full.
Woo hoo! Glad you bought it and hope you like it! As for SD cards (see Frisky above as well)...

I have about 35,000 blocks left on my 32GB card, I am embarrassed to admit. I buy a lot of retail games digitally. I was actually going to upgrade to a 64GB card, but I heard it can cause errors and stuff.

After reading the last few pages of this thread, gonna grab Attack of the Friday Monsters based on the recommendations.

Jesse_Dylan should get some Nintendo brownie points for all his positive feedback.

If Nintendo extended the Digital Deluxe Program from the Wii U to 3DS, I'd be much more inclined to buy retail stuff on the eShop to get both points and credit back for those purchases. I think the extent of my retail eShop purchases includes Animal Crossing New Leaf, Bit.Trip Saga, Crosswords PlusFire Emblem Awakening, New Super Mario Bros. 2 :)-(), and Puzzler World 2013.

I'm down to 185k blocks mostly because I download every demo I can just because I can hold them all without issue, though I barely touch them so I can delete the ones I don't like.

Yeah, I really wish they'd been doing the DDP from the beginning on 3DS as well. Could have saved so much money! I feel embarrassed about the retail games I buy digitally (this is CAG after all). I justify it by saying that first-party games rarely get price drops anyway, and I like to support Atlus, Xseed, etc by purchasing their games right way. Plus then I get to play new stuff. Normally I wait and wait for price drops and play stuff when it's 2-3 years old or more. But, this is all just justification. I am actually part of the problem, paying these dumb digital prices. At least I partake in sales.

I should figure out where all my blocks are going, though. Even with all my purchases, it seems like I should have more blocks left.

Yeah, I'm kind of amazed. If only Nintendo were as easy to influence as you guys are! I would get them to release more RPGs, do better eShop sales, and lower the damn eShop prices!

Honestly though, the only brownie points I want from Nintendo is for them to release some f*cking RPGs. I believe I've earned a rant at this point. I can't believe the way they hold out when it comes to things like Dragon Quest VII (and 3-4 other DQ 3DS games), all the Level-5 RPGs, etc etc etc. Fantasy Life... we're getting Bravely Default, but they couldn't even bother to release it at the same time as Europe got it. It's just annoying. If they need to hire more translation teams, then fine, hire them; even if they only break even, in my opinion, they'd be creating good will. The more I'm playing ANYTHING on my 3DS or Wii U, the more likely I am to buy other stuff on my 3DS and Wii U. And I sincerely expect they'd do more than break even. They'd be bolstering a market that already exists. It's just withered from lack of releases.

Anyway, rant over. One reason I push so hard to get people to buy Friday Monsters is because I want MORE games like that. I do of course sincerely hope everyone I convinced to buy it enjoys it, though.

*bows*

I just cashed in a $50 eshop card. I used some of my $30 fire emblem, shin megami tensei promo credit to buy pushmo, attack of the Friday monsters and damrey. I bought mutant mudds with part of the $50, now I just need to spend the rest. I have 42.xx left, any suggestions?

I want Phoenix Wright, but I'm waiting on a price drop.

Nah, just buy it.  :)

You might like The Denpa Men 2 maybe maybe.......  I'm trying to think of other non-retail games (assuming you don't want retail games).

Right, no 3ds retail games, but I'm okay with the Dsi/DS ones. Puzzle quest and bookworm were my first two purchases on the system. I'll have to try out the demo for Denpa Men 2... Let me know if you think of any others.

I'm going to sit on Phoenix for a bit, I'm not looking forward to dropping $30 on a digital game.

Thanks, I actually got that one earlier today with the promo credit. Lol I've held on to that promo credit for too long. I'm pretty bad about not spending free money.

Yeah, I really like SteamWorld Dig.  Let me go see what else I bought.  If I bought it, it must have either been on sale, good, or both!

Do you like 3D Classics?  Kirby is good.  Dno about any others really.

Harvest Moon 3D: Tale of Two Towns is $20.

Not sure if you like dungeon crawlers or what it costs, but I had fun with Unchained Blades.

Sakura Samurai?  Gunman Clive?

Code of Princess is a fun sidescrolling beat'em up, but again, not sure on the price.

I thought I had more games than this!  Where have all my blocks gone?

DSiWare that I have liked--

Number Battle is great.  It's kind of a strategy RPG sort of thing with some puzzle thrown in.  It was a retail game in Japan.  Hard to explain but I actually recommend it above all else I've listed so far.

Cave Story?  (Get the 3DS eShop fancy version tho, not the DSiWare version and not the 3DS retail version)

X-SCAPE is pretty neat.  Shantae: Risky's Revenge?

AlphaBounce is kind of cool (really cool actually), but I think I got annoyed at it and stopped playing.

Dragon Quest Wars is neat.

Tetris Party Live is cool but just underscores my desire for Nintendo to make a good 3DS Tetris.  (I don't like Tetris Axis.)

Hope something on here strikes your fancy.

You bought Pushmo, but how about Crashmo?  You need both.

Does anyone know of any full priced e-shop games out right now that have a 3 in them? o.o

I was at bestbuy today getting a $16 e-shop card and the guy at the counter was like "yeah, I bought a few of these so I could get S----- 3!" I asked him to repeat himself three times and I didn't understand him any time he said it. Eventually, I just said that I never heard of it.

Shantae 3? Super Mario Bros. 3? How many words did it seem to be?

Sorry about all my posts, but I'm really curious now.

Shin Megami Tensei? There's no 3, but maybe he was confused.

Hope someone can figure this out or I'm not going to be able to sleep.

Donkey Kong 3? :p

Just looking through some limited lists of stuff on the eShop:

Swords & Soldiers 3D

Super Mario Bros. 3 - Future Release

Soccer Up 3D

Snow Moto Racing 3D

Super Mario 3D Land

Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition

It was one word, and it sounded like he was saying sigma 3 or something close to that... He said he bought 3 cards so he could get it, but I KNOW nothing on the e-shop costs $60, so I don't know... He had me really curious too. I felt embarrassed to keep asking though, and there were people waiting in line.

I know there's no 3ds game that has sigma in it. I know it wasn't Shantae, but I'm pretty sure it was a one worded S title.

Where you took a wrong turn is that after the third attempt, the next logical step is to strike him.  Hard.

(Hey, I was trying to be unnecessarily violent and inadvertently made an unfunny baseball joke.)

The funny thing is, that he was all interested in talking when he saw that I was getting an e-shop card, and then immediately after I said I didn't know what the game was, he lost all interest in me.

And I actually wanted to hit this one guy at the door one time. I did an in store pick up for the walking dead and usually they're all like "have a nice day!", or nod, but he was all like, hey hey hey, hold up! Let me see your receipt." Then he seriously spent a minute looking through my bag and was all like "the walking dead, huh?"

Maybe he meant Senran Kagura Burst?

Also, do those $30 full game titles usually go on sale? The only one I've seen go on sale is that Code of Princess game which apparently sucked and warranted a price drop.

Anybody here played Cave Story in the 3DS Eshop that's $10? What's the major differences from the cart version Cave Story 3DS and the Eshop version for the people that played both.

Has Cave Story ever been sale for the Eshop?

I tried googling it but found lots of people bashing the cart version.

Thanks for any help!

Cart version has updated polygonal graphics, whereas EShop version is actually a sterioscopic enabled port of CaveStory+ (with classic sprite-based graphics). Haven't played it, but not really a fan of the look of the 3D polygonal style, whereas it looks great in sprites. Can't really speak for the cart version, but the eshop version is a blast. (also don't recall it ever being on sale, but it's worth the 10 bucks)

Thanks looks like I'm going to pick it up soon.

Picked up Crimson Shroud, Liberation Maiden, & Chain Blaster, debating getting Starship Damrey too. Despite all the attention the former two have been getting, I've been too hooked on Chain Blaster to play either one. :p

So I guess I'm the only one interested in:

Puzzler World 2013 - $4.99 - 50% Off - Permanent Price Drop - New

This is the full game, correct? Seems like a bargain at $5 to have so many word puzzles downloaded onto the 3DS. Easy to just pick up and play.

Trying to rush my way through Radiant Historia so that I can start Crimson Shroud. All of this hype has me jazzed!

Also thinking of picking up Starship Damrey.

I'd imagine so. The main set of puzzles has 35 pages of 16 puzzles each for about 560 puzzles with a bunch of harder puzzles that you unlock as you work your way through the main set. However, it's not all word puzzles, as there are things like Sudoku, picture puzzles, and some other weird things I had never heard of before. The thing I think it does really well is the hint/help option where you can spend the coins you earn to get some help with puzzles if you're really stumped.

My favorite set of puzzles are these Link-A-Pix puzzles that are sort of a spin-off of Picross where you end up drawing lines of different colors to create an image at the end.

I picked up Crimson Shroud for full price on release and liked it well enough, but I was ultimately disappointed based on what I had expected based on who it was from.

I decided to spend some of my SMT IV credit and got the Guild02 titles. Looking forward to checking them out.

I really liked Code of Princess!

Stupid question, but is the content you buy linked to the ds ITSELF or the memory card? I know Nintendo doesn't have an account system, so I was wondering how that works. I have a 4gb card right now and am getting a 32gb one on Wednesday. I'm eager to download 3-4 games, but I don't want to not be able to transfer them to my new memory card.

Can anyone who has the Circle Pad Pro and Nano Assault EX tell me if it works? I downloaded the demo, but for some reason, it didn't detect the CPP. I know the game supports it, but I just want to make sure before I put money down on it.

The system. You can just take the SD card out, stick it in a PC and copy it to another SD then stick it in the same system if you want a bigger card. When transfering systems you just switch the memory card after the tool has transferred licenses.

Not a stupid question at all! As said above, you just pop your current card into your PC, copy everything to the desktop in a folder, pop in the new memory card, and copy from the desktop to the new card, then slide it into the 3DS. My brother said he had to pop his new SD card into his 3DS first before copying stuff to it. Your mileage may vary.

It is indeed linked to the system, so even if you took out your memory card containing all the stuff and put it into another 3DS, it would not be playable (unless you did a system transfer).

Is there a specific name I have to have for the file? I know when you do stuff on the PS3, you have to have certain file names or it won't work.

Just wondering, but how much of a price drop do people expect for Ace Attorney to have or be on sale for? I just don't want to get anything digital given it's tied to the console, but still wondering what big titles even drop to or go on sale for? Or are people just hoping?

No, thankfully. I'm not sure how it works.

Keep everything the same as it is on the original SD card when copying it over.
Yeah, as Frisky says, touch nothing! (Picture Short Round in The Temple of Doom. "You say touch nothing! I touch nothing!")

I know I mentioned Phoenix earlier, and I'm just hoping for a price drop or sale on that one. I don't keep a close eye on eshop prices, but someone else might be able to weigh-in on typical drops. I'd guess it would be $5 or $10 discount though.

Yeah, I've been waiting for a Cave Story discount since I bought my 3DS. Such a terrific game, and I deliberately only played through it once on PC so it could retain some of its freshness on 3dS. Even considered getting the retail version but like @zmonkay mentioned, people don't seem to be that impressed with the polygonal models.

To my understanding there are 3 versions, lol: 3D, Original (DSi) and 3DS...

Unlike on other platforms, Capcom doesn't have a reliable track record of putting their eShop stuff on sale. I believe we had a RE sale around Halloween and that has been about it for Capcom's sales in recent memory, at least for as long as this thread has been around. Then again, that stuff was only added to the eShop during this year.

The only stuff that reliably goes on sale at least occasionally are Atlus' games, indie games, much of the small eShop stuff that you've never heard of before, and Bit.Trip Saga.

I think if you guys are gonna get Phoenix, you should just support it and buy it to show Capcom Americans like it, or we'll never get one again.  THIS IS WHY WE CAN'T HAVE NICE THINGS.  *throws wicker furniture and kicks a plastic cereal bowl*

It's probably not going to go on sale anyway.  It's already $10 cheaper than it would have been if they'd had a physical release.  What do you people want from me!  Just pretend it's a retail game with a $10 discount that will probably never get any more discounts.

I think all the versions of Cave Story are pretty great.  I've been planning to get the 3DS download version, which is based on the Cave Story+ PC version which I have on Steam (whoaaa).  I played the DSiWare version, too.  I have not played the polygonal 3DS version but would like to eventually after playing the 2D 3DS (??) version.

Hope two people can decipher half of what I've written here.  Feel like I ain't making much sense.

Technically there's that Mega Man week we just had, and MH3U was half-off a couple of times...
