Is there anything new about the Trilogy? Or is it simply the original games in one file?
From the press release:

Defend the innocent and save the day! Courtroom hero Phoenix Wright lays down the law this Winter in the digital release of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy. Experience the original trilogy like never before in clear, high-resolution re-drawn graphics and immersive 3D visuals optimized for the Nintendo 3DS system. Join rookie lawyer Phoenix Wright through the early years of his career in his quest to find the truth behind all of the classic cases! Prepare for intense courtroom showdowns by investigating crime scenes, collecting evidence, and questioning witnesses. Use evidence and the testimonies of witnesses to your advantage as you battle for the innocence of your client. Nothing less of a full acquittal will do in this court of law. Find the contradictions in witnesses' testimonies to expose the truth!

As a new feature, the Japanese version of the game, “Gyakuten Saiban 123 Naruhodo Selection,” will be included, giving players the option to switch between the Japanese and English versions in-game. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy includes Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice For All, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials and Tribulations and will be available to purchase as a digital download title exclusively on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS.

FEATURES
  • Three beloved games in one – For the first time ever on Nintendo 3DS, experience all of the classic courtroom drama from the original Phoenix Wright trilogy in one epic collection.
  • Looking sharp – Fight for justice in clear, high-resolution re-drawn graphics that bring the action to life like never before.
  • A new dimension – 3D support for the Nintendo 3DS brings the existing 2D graphics to life in a more immersive 3D world.
  • Familiar faces return – Join Phoenix Wright in his early years, as he gets introduced to his colorful cast of friends and foes, including Pearl Fey and rival prosecutor Miles Edgeworth.
  • Two classic gameplay segments:
  • Investigation phase – survey crime scenes, interview witnesses and gather evidence that will be used in court
  • Court phase – present findings from the investigation to support your case, listen to testimonies and examine witnesses.
  • Play two versions –the Japanese version of the game, “Gyakuten Saiban 123 Naruhodo Selection,” will be included, giving players the option to switch between the Japanese and English versions in-game.

So did anyone pick up Tomodachi Life today and spend some time with it?  The reviews have not been all over the place so far and waiting for someone whose opinion I'm more familiar with to do a review since scores aren't going to be a good measure of this one.  Consistent view though seems to be that it's really more of a toy with a little bit of game in it as opposed to something like Animal Crossing where it's a lot toy but still very much a game.  That seems to be the sort of divergent point for reviewers and how they felt about that decided which side of the fence the review landed on.

I haven't picked it up yet but I likely will tomorrow - got some GS credit to burn & figured I might as well since both my wife and I are interested.

I'm really interested in playing Tomodachi Life, but the reviews have scared me off for now. I had preordered a copy from Amazon, but I cancelled it. I think I'll wait for a sale or trade opportunity. The one review I saw from somewhere where the reviewer said he began to get bored by the game the second week -- eek, no. I don't pay $35 for that.

I'm having a lot of fun with it. It's a really weird game but fun to pick up once or twice a day for 10-20 minutes in the same way Animal Crossing is.

If anyone has a spare Tomodachi Life demo code, I would really appreciate it! I really want to try it.
I asked a while back in this thread but heard nothing. I guess with just the two most people are giving it to friends instead of strangers, which kinda makes sense. It makes less sense that Nintendo has done the demo distribution this way. Makes me curious how well it is selling.

i want to buy it as well. too bad Kmart dont have it... talk about false advertising when they say

BUY THE GAME GET 10,000 POINTS WHEN THEY DONT EVEN CARRY THE GAME

fuck. Yes. Now I just wish they would do AAI2.
Totally agree that Ace Attorney Investigations 2 should be localized. Make a second English localized trilogy that includes Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice, AAI: Miles Edgeworth, and AAI 2.

I would totally buy that for $30 on day one.

I'm not sure about this announced port of the Ace Attorney Trilogy series. I still have the DS versions.

I was thinking about the Android version. Maybe if it is less than $29.99, then I might bite just to be supportive.

I think I'll get Crashmo, Pushmo, and Yumi's Strange Odyssey. Been sitting on some eShop credit since that Best Buy sale several weeks ago. 1001 Spikes looks nice, but too difficult for my money. I'd probably rage quit on the first day of purchase.

I normally don't buy a whole lot of eshop stuff (not out of principle; just not much that interests me). But in the last six months I've put a lot of money into it. I got $100 during Best Buy's sale, and I only have about $20 left, and still several more games to buy. All the games on sale are making things better or worse, depending on how you look t it.

I'm gonna wait until E3 is over just in case of any surprise announcements, and if nothing happens I'll get Pushmo, Crashmo, and maybe Umihara Kawase.

Too bad Ages and Seasons aren't on sale.
I still need one of those, I wish they were discounted. When I bought LBW from Best Buy, they were supposed to give a code for one of those with purchase of the game. My code never worked. Eventually their phone support gave me a $50 gift card for the hassle that I used to buy Wind Waker for Wii U.

Question re: Wii U Sale.   Saw Super Mario (NES) advertised here for $3.49, but when I went to the sale page on my Wii U, it was listed as $1.00 and I was only charged $1.00.  What's with that??

Looks at Xbox Live sales: "My wallet is safe."

Looks at PSN sales: "My wallet is safe."

Looks at Nintendo eShop sales: "Doh!"

It's really rare and unexpected to have Nintendo first-parties on sale, especially one that is so high profile as The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time 3D.  Trust me, it's extremely hard to find that game for under $40, new or used.  Believe me, I've tried looking.  Surprisingly, between Pushmo, Crashmo, and The Legend of Zelda: OOT, Nintendo is getting my money this week.

Did you buy it on the Wii? Because if you did you get it for $1. Same for all other NES Wii VC games you've bought. SNES game upgrades are $1.50.

That's the fee to upgrade from your Wii download.

Ohhhh. Yep looked into it and I did buy it on the Wii. Thanks for the info. Sucks there's a fee to get it again but whatever. At least there's a discount to buy it again rather than paying full price. Silly thing is that I migrated all my Wii purchases to the Wii U, so I have it on my system already, but at least this saves me like a few moments to get to it since I can access it from my Wii U menu instead of the Wii virtual menu. Plus, there's the whole gamepad support. Wondering if that works on Wii games too. If you read this far, I'm surprised. Realized I was typing too much, so I'm purposely rambling and writing way too much. fuck your bandwith cheapy! Also, the new Batman looks hella cool. So excited seeing the fluid animation of him jumping into and out of the car.

Might have bit on Ocarina if I didn't just get Wind Waker for free, not enough discount for a game I know I won't get to for a while. Might grab SMW, always wanted to own it and that's a pretty justifiable price.

I've been debating whether to buy Mario Party: Island Tour, but all the mixed reviews out there resulted in me not getting it when it launched. Now with this $12 price drop, do any of you guys recommend getting this game at this sale price, or do you think the game is still not good enough for the price?

I already caved in on getting OOT 3D with this price drop (I've been waiting forever for a sale price on that game), but I don't know if I should do the same for the Mario Party game.

Island Tour is by far the worst Mario Party I've played. They've stripped the game of what made the series fun. The maps are incredibly linear and short with a few mini games here and there. Not to mention that Toad constantly tells you what to do. Me and my friend are big Mario Party fans and we only played this title once, only to never play it again. Just think, save that money that you would spend and put it towards Mario Party 10. Hopefully it doesn't have the same shortcomings.

I don't think it's worth it. There is a unique story mode where you ascend a mansion (building? I forgot) and do minigames in succession but beyond that the boards themselves leave a lot to be desired. The multiplayer is also local only, although it is nice that download play is available. If you don't plan on playing a lot with others locally I don't think the game will be worth picking up and even then I would youtube the courses ahead of time to see if they even appeal to you. For many of the courses it's a race to the finish instead of who has the most stars which is kind of lame imo.

Damn, now Inazuma Eleven is on sale? I'm gonna have to decide between that and Umihara Kawase. I don't really want to buy both because I still have a ton of other stuff I want, but I might wind up getting both anyway.

Is it? I still see $20 online. Mind you, I don't have my 3DS with me right now, so I can't check.

Kind of off topic, but did anyone play Mario Party 9 on Wii? I really enjoyed it and thought the vehicle thing was a good way to shake up the formula. Makes the games go a little faster and the boss fights were a neat addition. Looks like Mario Party 10 will have the same approach and I can't wait to check it out.

Oh, wow. I picked up a $20 card for Inazuma Eleven back when BBY was having a 20% off sale on 'em, but never got around to actually using it. I really hope that price shows up, 60% off would be an amazing discount for an eShop game.
