Big Lots are pretty big around me, probably 5 or 6 between my work and home.  None of them have games anymore though.  I picked up

Shadow Wars at Target a little while ago, still haven't got around to playing it.

Finally got vvvvvv, didn't see what all the hype was about until now! Awesome game for 3.99

I'm debating Inazuma Eleven, I'm a huge soccer fan and have always been curious about the series, is it worth 9.99?

SMT Overlocked good? I've played SMT4 and Soul Hackers,
It's going to be quite different from those. In terms of gameplay, it's more of an SRPG, and in terms of story/characters, it has more in common with the modern Persona games than SMT or older MegaTen games like Soul Hackers.

That said, I think it's probably the best of the three you mentioned.

Rayman Origins better on WiiU or 3DS?
It's not on the wii U, Rayman Legends is. That being said, the 3DS port of Origins is just so-so. A lot of what made the console versions so good is the graphics and bright art style, and a lot of that is lost in the translation to the 3DS. The plat forming is still pretty decent, but Rayman Legends on the Wii U is a much much better game and definitely worth the $20-$25 price you can find it for now

It appears 1001 spikes is no longer discounted to $10.01 on the eShop for people who own other Nicalis games.

I was going to buy it at that price, but was waiting for Nicalis to actually patch it for bug-fixes, off-screen play, and wiimote support for multiplayer (since they have a track record of saying they will patch something, then never patching it).

Anyone else not able to see the sale price any more?

Hopefully by the time the patch finally comes out it will go on sale again.

Rayman Origins better on WiiU or 3DS?
Stay far, far away from the 3DS port of Origins. If you have a Wii U and really want Origins, buy the Wii version of Origins and just play it on backwards compatibility (although I'd probably recommend the PS3 or Vita version over the Wii if that's an option).

Legends is excellent and worth your time, too. Wii U seems to be the definitive version although I played it on the Vita and it was great too.

The WiiU is the best version of Legends, with Vita only slightly behind (small screen to see the fantastic artwork). The touchscreen makes the Murfy levels so much better, and there are many of those. Legends in general makes Origins obsolete, it contains almost all of the levels from Origins that can be unlocked - so you would only need Origins if you are after Trophies/Achieves.

If you want portable Rayman, Vita Legends is the way to go, hands down. Rayman Fiesta and Jungle Run are also really fun, and serve as a good way to get a portable fix if you don't have a Vita, then play Legends on your console. If you want a platformer for the 3DS, there are many much better options than the fairly disappointing Origins.

Am I terrible for considering buying Splinter Cell 3D, Rayman 3D, and Rayman Origins despite them being kind of... bad in addition to Ghost Recon so I can rack up more coins in a last ditch effort at reaching Club Nintendo platinum status? It would give me 150 coins all together. Not bad for $30.

Damn, I need to get a memory card for the 3DS pretty quick so I can snag Recon Wars. I have been wanting to play that shit before I even got the system.

You can always just buy the game then download it later when you have the bigger card.  Also, 32gb Micro sd cards are getting pretty cheap, including an SD adapter.

I don't think it'll let you buy anything if you don't have the space for it. It'll basically tell you to fuck off until you have the room for it. It's the same for battery power.

Best Buy has a 32 GB SD card for $25 for those that need some extra room quickly.

I don't think it's the account system that's to blame, but the way their store handles a lack of storage space.
Well in this instance. If they had a PSN or XBL like system though then it wouldn't be an issue. And I would be able to play my digital games on both my 2DS systems without doing a system transfer.

Whether it's the store or the account system, it sucks and needs to be fixed.  It's 2014, this isn't a huge request or anything and would lead to Nintendo getting more sales.  It drives me crazy to think that Nintendo can't grasp how to do a proper account system.  My Wii U is acting up lately and the thing that scares me the most is knowing the hassle that will be involved transferring my content to a new system.

I thought GR: Shadow Wars was a good deal but I looked it up on eBay to see what it sells for

I bought a used copy with no box for $7 shipped lol

I think they have some more on there if you guys want to get a physical instead

Those badgers. That's how every game should be, get it on both if it's available. But for $15, maybe not... :)

I already have it on iOS, got it for $2, haven't played it. Supposed to be good, but you never know with iOS games. Which is why I like my 3DS so much (using sentence fragments to circle back to the original topic woot)

Kung Fu Rabbit is a nice little game for that price.  I have the Wii U version.  It's a cuter, less hectic Super Meat Boy.

Anyone want to bet on how long it'll take for the Atlus games to hit sub-$10? I'm guessing November.
