plus you can buy 30 bucks worth of diamonds and never have to buy another thing ever in the game (also if you do buy the 30 buck you will get 20 free diamonds a day + other perks

i did the 200 for 2 bucks i doubt i will ever need more, unless they add more worlds, playing around 30 mins at a time is good enough for me. Sucks the baloons take 3 hours to reload
So what's the $30 deal? I hadn't heard so ssaw that when I was playing last night. I'm tempted to just do the limited time offers for now, I really am enjoying it.

I'll judge you because it will be directly your fault when they keep churning this junk out.
Sorry, I do enjoy crap like this. Pokemon Shuffle has gotten over 20 hours of my time, and Rumble World looks likely to suck up even more of my time. I gave Nintendo money for Rumble World partly because I wanted the content, and partly to encourage the game and more like it.

What can I say? If one of the target demographics is 30 year old females, they got me. :whistle2:

As long as you don't judge me because I paid $40 for Pokemon Rumble Blast, never finished it, and traded it in to GS for about $5.

I refuse to spend money on Pokemon Rumble World because to me the redeeming factor is that it's free. If I spend money, I am losing.
I do normally feel that way, and I take great pride in the fact that before Rumble World, I had only spent $2 ever on freemium type games.

And I have Pokemon Rumble Blast, and I intend to play it. ^_^

I actually got nearly to the end of Pokemon Rumble Blast and liked it quite a bit at first, but I was trading in games and I figured I'd get rid of it since it had been a long time since I'd done more than clear the streetpasses. I don't think it's a bad game or anything, it just wasn't one that finishing was a high priority for me.

Yeah, I do that sort of thing too. It's actually uncommon for me to finish a video game. Usually I play it until I don't want to play it anymore, and I get rid of it.

Free 3DS theme incoming:

"Capcom, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, is pleased to confirm that Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate for Nintendo 3DS has shipped one million units in combined retail and digital units since its release across North America and Europe on February 13, 2015. The game has now become the fastest selling and has the highest Metascore of any Monster Hunter title in the west. In celebration of the milestone, a special free Nintendo 3DS theme will be available for download in May as a token of appreciation for all the fan support."

Interesting, I've been waiting for it to go on sale in the eshop though. Will be a while before I bite at a physical copy, especially since it's twice the price.

Oh, you BASTARDS! LOL

What is this trend of releasing physical well after the digital release? Technically, it is just releasing on most of the consoles, but I already own this on the 3DS. I may have to double dip, SK is the bomb. So what, no Vita love?

It's probably because they don't have the money to spend on physical distribution before the game is even finished. When the game sells well and they have some money to spend on something like that, they can do that later for those that would be interested in it.

The problem is that, unlike Shuffle, Rumble World requires you to spend real money on those Poke Diamonds in order to progress at a reasonable rate. Without buying anything, you can get maybe 18 diamonds or so per day (ignoring the possibility of rushing through more than one challenge a day since they're limited regardless), and that's only if you can keep up with the challenges and complete every condition each time, including hard mode, which at some point or another is going to require buying another balloon. And another. And another. And they aren't that cheap, either. Unlocking all the balloons is going to cost you a whopping 1240 diamonds. And then there's all the upgrades and bonuses that can eat into your diamonds, as well.

Let's break this down:

27 Challenges at 13 diamonds each: 351 diamonds

Free daily Mii visits: 2-3 diamonds per day (this can be doubled if you keep your play coins charged)

Streetpass/Spotpass: 70 diamonds if you can pull off the numbers

So, best-case scenario is, you somehow manage to play through the game without buying any space expansions or other upgrades that require diamonds, and never use the timing stop Meanwhile, you complete all the challenge conditions, beat all of them on hard mode, use & recharge your play coins every day for a month to abuse the free Mii visits for extra diamonds, and manage to Streetpass 999 people for the full 70 bonus. That still leaves you more than 600 diamonds short of unlocking all of the balloons.

So unless they release a password to get a lot of diamonds at once down the line, you're left to either play the slow grind that limits your options and horribly nerfs your progress, or pay2play.

/unrequested rant

>never spent a dime on Shuffle

>already spent ~$5 eShop credit on Rumble World, and already have to buy more to progress

>on the other hand, got that credit for 60% off, so it's not so bad

Pokemon Shuffle has a terrible progression rate since it takes 2.5 hours just to get five hearts back when it takes less than 10 minutes to use them up.

How far are you into the game? Early on I felt that way too but now I'll play for a half an hour with 6 hearts and feel even if I had the option to continue I'm good. It's perfectly designed for short bursts and get's old fast if you play for too long. Though I do hope they offer heart containers as rewards at some point.

BTW, in case you haven't paid attention, Smash Bros has an update allowing you to post replays to Miiverse. Sadly, it forces you to delete older replays.

To be more precise, it's 30 minutes per heart for a game that's much easier to play in short bursts, anyway. Shuffle also feeds you multiple jewels for free so you can refill immediately if you want, and the wait isn't that much of a problem either when you can just as easily do/play something else for a little while in the meantime. The same can't be said for Rumble World's system if you don't want to spend any cash.

They're already splooging their pants at the $10 million copies they sell each gen, I doubt they'd want to mess with that formula.
Until each copy now costs over $100 to fully complete and they can start selling shinys and pokeballs and whatever else for cash money bucks.

Oh and Yokai Watch is beating them handily now.

Got my mewtwo code today as well, along with the Platinum notice. Just bought Animal Crossing for $15 last week, glad I was too lazy to open it. It's a game that's best kept on the system digitally.

Anyone know when the new StreetPass games are supposed to be available today? Was kind of hoping/expecting midnight last night and still can't download them. I'm really impatient about this cause I've been itching for new StreetPass games for what seems like an eternity. Hard to believe it's been nearly two years since the last ones came out. You'd think their popularity would have caused Nintendo to crank them out regularly. Feast or famine. That's been Nintendo's way since the GameCube era at least.

If they're supposed to be out today I would have expected noon eastern but no idea if he's not out yet already.

Ooo, they're coming out today? Is the Premium Plaza out today too?

It appears the update went live at 12pm today.  I was able to update and download the two new games.  Both games seem incredibly promising.

I was pretty stoked to get my Platinum notice as well. I was a bit disappointed by what was offered. I was really hoping to get Kid Icarus Uprising, but it wasn't an option. :(

I ended up getting New Super Mario Bros. 2 as it was the only game I didn't have that wasn't a Virtual Console title.

Atlus will be having a big sale that starts on Monday.

Atlus's big sale is probably the same sale they do every other month. Maybe if we're lucky a few prices will drop more than usual.

The new Streetpass games are interesting. The fishing one is pretty much Flower Town with fish instead of Flowers and a few tweaked mechanics. The Zombie one is fun, if very quick.

Got both the new games for $6.99. I like the new hats and balloons. It looks like they added a ton of hats, outfits, and balloons. . Makes me wish I hadn't spent nearly all my tickets already. But hopefully I'll get a good number through the new games.

I got the 2 games for $6.99 also. Haven't played them yet. Also got the VIP thing, but I don't know if I really consider it worth the cost. I mostly bought it because I figured that they add in something related to the VIP thing later, it might be discounted if I already paid for the VIP stuff.

Also, I accidentally clicked through the information about what the Game Vault is for. Can someone explain to me what its purpose is?

Game Vault allows you to store games that you don't play anymore so you won't be needlessly reminded of them.

Also, in case anyone hasn't looked, the StreetPass Upgrade has the following options:

- VIP Room to store Miis you want to use often.
- Birthdays that give you plaza tickets.
- Ability to change your StreetPass music and listen to it when the system is closed.
- Ability to completely skip certain kinds of conversations completely, letting you greet people faster.

Well, I'm a dummy.  If anyone downloads the update, remember to do if after you use any visiting mii you met that day.

Really dislike that it's a $5 upgrade on top of the new games.

I bought the new Streetpass Games and the Mii Plaza Upgrade VIP thingie. I decided I wanted it more for the chance to earn additional tickets for outfits and things.

I really like Streetpass Fishing. And I like that Monster Manor and Flower Town can go to my Game Vault. I had every flower in Flower Town, and there was no reason for me to keep on making one of EVERY COLOR. Geez.

Also, kind of bored already of Rumble World.

I like the fishing game, but I REALLY like the zombie game. It's somewhat skill-based, like mii force, but not irritating, unlike mii force. :p

I haven't looked to see if other games have this update, but I REALLY like that the Fishing game allows you to buy 10 animals with play coins. Instead of painfully buying each one, now you can buy all 10 with the click of a button. So great.

I should go see if the older Streetpass games got this update.

I really like the new Streetpass games, but didn't yet get the VIP upgrade. Not sure if it's really worth it. If anyone has it, does it register the birthdays of everyone already in your plaza, or does it start fresh?
