I'm tempted over Rune Factory.... that last one... I don't think I ever made it to the 3rd chapter (or if I did it was just barely).  4 seemed to go on forever, 3 is a wee memory.  

Hmmm... what/if to buy...

Pokemon I've got like 25 hrs into so far.... and I haven't gotten (comparatively) far.  I'm still in the first town.

Yo-Kai I haven't gone back to since Pokemon....

Is there a way to see what the free theme you get for buying plays in Badge Arcade is? The added Majora's Mask Badges today have me tempted for the first time to drop some cash, and I was hoping that might be the theme if you buy 10 plays. They sure added a bunch of catchers worth for MM today.

Yea, I spent a bit of time capturing Salemance. I should have read the forums and saved a TON of time. But I did it.

 
Apparently I have to have a separate NNID for each 2DS/3DS. I know this isn't new information, but I'm giving a 2DS to each of my kids for Christmas (three). So now I get to manage four NNIDs and separate accounts. Joy.

The only thing I've seen is that you can purchase codes for some games, but redemption is still on the Wii U/3DS.

Edit: Yeah, that's completely hidden from any part of their websites.

That's what caused me to get rid of my 2DS because it just wasn't worth the hassle any longer.

I have absolutely played Rune Factory 3. It is my eternal shame that I have not completed both 3 and 4. They are massive projects. The way the RF3 dude says "Uh... what was I doing again?" when you load a save is perfect. But both 3 and 4 are outstanding games.

EDIT: it's harder to pick a waifu in RF3 than it is in P4G. That's saying something. Every girl is best girl. Except for, you know, the one girl who is WORST girl.

Super Mystery Dungeon. You have to do the quests to "friend" them into your group. Then they can be used. Problem (and I didn't realize it at the time) spending that my effort to get Salemance is that he's only available one mission every... I dunno 4/5?

Well you and I don't have similar tastes in games. The first... I dunno.. 8 hrs is crazy slow. Get past the "school" portion and it speeds up a little. But consider I'm 27 hrs into the game now and I haven't left the first city. SOoooooooOO.... that may not be representative of it as a whole. BUT I also clear dungeons because I'm a loot-whore and know it.

Bunch of different pokes show up. There really isn't any randomness to the captures. You do a mission, you get the Pokemon. You unlock some other possible missions to show up. Some decent ones so far. I did just find out that I can't evolve my Charmander (level 20) until after I finish the game so my entire Riolu and Charmander pairing is .. eh... because with 27 hrs in I looked at the walkthrough and I'm only in chapter 10 (of 23).

You get a physical card in the mail. I'd recommend, if spending money, to get the AR ones personally.. but really it makes no difference. I ordered one on Monday and it was in hand by Wednesday. Don't know if my Premier Blah-Blah gave me 2 day shipping free or what.

Wasn't Fire Emblem one of the games given free as CN was going under? I thought those codes were still floating around if you didn't mind digital. Don't know if that's still the case.

My favorite part of RF3 and 4 is watching the protags slowly come to terms with the nutjobs in the town. EVERYONE was totally batshit in RF3 and protag got pretty good at managing them. Daria wants to paint the tree and protag immediately shuts that shit down before that crazy bitch gets any ideas. Or in RF4 where protag slowly stops pausing and stuttering in response to the chef's crazy greetings and just returns them in stride.

Well during the sale I bought a bunch of games...

Attack of the Friday Monsters! (watched a video, looked cool)

Liberation Maiden (loved this on iOS, want to play with real controls)

Crimson Shroud (figured I'd give this a chance since it's Level-5 & looked the most interesting of the remaining L5 games on sale)

Shantae (needed to play this again, not on sale but worth full price to me)

Shantae Pirates Curse (on sale, completes the collection for now as I already owned Risky's Revenge)

Metroid (one of my favorite NES games)

Retro City Rampage (have this on PSN & Steam, wanted it on 3DS too)

Siesta Fiesta (looks like something I'd enjoy)

I played the heck out of Attack of the Friday Monsters and LOVED every single second of it.  I've nearly 100%'ed everything in the game.  I'd love to find more hidden gems like that on the eshop (suggestions?).  Once Phoenix Wright 5 (Dual Destinies) goes on sale, I'll add that to the collection (already have the other games in physical form).

 
Played through five worlds of Box Boy and that's a really cool puzzle platfomer. The main mechanic involves the Box Boy sprouting a Snake-like line of boxes from his/her left, right, or top side that varies in length based on the level and it can have a variety of shapes depending on the demands of the puzzle. They just introduced a really clever use of the mechanic in the last world or two where you're exploiting the warping aspect of the snake to get around and solve puzzles. I'm looking forward to playing more of it.
