Still can't decide on Gunman Clive 2. First game was fun and i don't recall either being on sale so I don't know why I'm hesitant.

Post on reddit has the following for this week's sales:

3D Classics Excitebike - $4.19
OlliOlli - $9.99* final sale price not yet active - this is a Cross Buy title, buy one version 3DS or Wii U, get the other version for free
Sonic Generations - $20.99
Freakyforms Deluxe - $13.99
Toki Tori 3D - $1.39
Wario Land 3 $4.99* final sale price not yet active
Donkey Kong Jr $4.99* final sale price not yet active
Mighty Bomb Jack $3.49

Not sure if there are more or not, that's all they listed.  Glad to see Excitebike, that's been on my wishlist for a while.  Wish it was a better price, but it's probably the best we'll ever see, so I'll take it...

Wario Land 3 is indeed excellent.  I enjoyed Mighty Bomb Jack on the NES so I'm probably getting that.  Toki Tori 3D seems like I should grab it as well.  I wish I cared about Excitebike.  I mean it's fun and all, but it's not something I care about replaying over and over.

Prices are live...

Toki Tori 3D $1.39

Wario Land 3 $3.49

Donkey Kong Jr $3.49

3D Classics Excitebike $4.19

OlliOlli $4.99

Sonic Generations $20.99

Mighty Bomb Jack $3.49

Not sure if anything else was worth mentioning.

I think I'm getting Toki Tori 3D & Wario Land 3 (despite still owning the original cart) ... and considering Mighty Bomb Jack for nostalgia as well as DK Jr.

I don't know why I still look forward to eshop sales. Having had my 3DS from day one, at this point I already have almost everything I've ever wanted for the system.

3D Classics Excitebike - $4.19
They should be slapped for charging this much for Excitebike. This should be a $2 game at most, and on sale for $1. Then they wonder why no one bought these so called 3D classics. They should look at SEGA and see how it is done properly, and how to charge for the work put in, and how well these games can sale when done right. What a complete waste "N" made of their 3D library.

Oh well I'm not bothering with that long. They seemed to shake and shift more before.
Last week was pretty lousy for free badges. However today is much better; you can get ten or more in the time it took to get one launcher badge. They even begin providing a free play today.

The Mario vs. Donkey Kong machine with the giant DK badge is the fastest. In less than a minute, you can free the double hammer and coin badges; depending on your luck the Shy Guy may also fall.

Next is the MvDK machine with the blocks, girders, ladders, and large door. In about 2 minutes, the two stacked blocks will tip. You may need to work them a few more times for them to slip through if they appear stuck; the block on the other side will probably slide in a strange looking manner until over the edge. You can spend another minute to get a vertical girder.

You can work on two Nikki machines at the same time by swapping between them: the one with the pencils and the one with the winged envelopes. In less than 2 minutes the stamp badge should start to move. It might go over right away or it could get stuck and need another minute of work. You will usually also get the cat with pencil badge and occasionally the panda with pencil badge will follow.

If you have spent 2 minutes switching between the two Nikki machines mentioned above, then in another 3 minutes, the winged envelopes should tumble to the side, netting you another badge or two.

Actually, adding it all up, it looks like it takes less than ten minutes to get between eight and thirteen badges. There look like there are other badges that can move, but it would take a lot more time to get fewer badges.

You can also tap on the rabbit to reset a machine once per play, if you want more of a certain badge or another shot at one of the badges that sometimes don't come along.

Is Code of Princess worth purchasing at $10?

Also, I wonder if they'll ever put Rhythm Thief on sale. Want it, but $20 is too much.

Sega is putting some of their 3D classics on a retail card:

The best thing about classics is that they never go out of style, which is why SEGA of America is bringing nine classic SEGA games to the Nintendo 3DS™ system as part of the SEGA 3D Classics Collection. The best part - four of the nine classics are games that have never been released on the 3DS previously. For all of the included classics, developer M2 painstakingly recreated the experiences by breaking down the original games and powering them up with new visuals, game modes, and more to take full advantage of the Nintendo 3DS system. The
SEGA 3D Classics Collection will be available in stores and digitally exclusively in the Americas for $29.99/CA$44.99 on April 26, 2016.

Because it's a collection, the most prudent thing to do would be to list the games included, starting with the titles never-before-released outside of Japan first:

Power Drift - This sprite-based circuit racer puts you head to head against other AI racers in a twisting, turning, jumping, looping race to the finish.

Puyo Puyo 2 - This head-to-head competitive puzzle game is simple to learn, hard to master, and compellingly addictive. Compete against the AI or friends in local multiplayer. Note: because of the quirks of trying to localize a game hard-coded in Japanese, the game has been left entirely in its original language. English instructions are available in the included digital manual.

Next, we have a pair of rarities not released on the 3DS before - true collectibles for the Master System enthusiast:

Maze Walker - Originally designed for the SegaScope 3-D glasses on the Sega Master System, Maze Walker comes to life on the 3DS, faithfully reproducing the sense of depth as players try to escape the mysterious, twisting maze filled with unknown dangers. Originally released as Maze Hunter for the Master System in the West.

Fantasy Zone II: The Tears of Opa-Opa - The sentient space ship Opa-Opa is back to defend its bases from evil (but cute!) invaders in the classic scrolling shooter. For SEGA history buffs, this version of Fantasy Zone II is the original Master System version.

And for the previously released titles:

Fantasy Zone II W -Fantasy Zone II W, which was originally created for the Master System, is the version of Fantasy Zone II upgraded to the graphical capabilities of the System- 16 arcade board with added 3D effects. You can enjoy it in 2 game modes with different rules.

Sonic The Hedgehog - The evil scientist, Dr. Eggman (aka Dr. Robotnik), has snatched the animals of South Island, turning them into robot slaves. Only the famed blue blur can defeat Dr. Eggman and rescue the animals from his vile clutches in the game that started it all for the fastest hedgehog - Sonic!

Thunder Blade - In Thunder Blade, players control a helicopter and use guns and missiles to destroy enemy vehicles while flying between buildings, through caves, and into enemy bases. The re-mastered version boasts stereoscopic 3D visuals and adds a host of new features.

Galaxy Force II - As the star pilot of the Space Federation, it's up to you to strap yourself into your TRY-X fighter and turn the tables on the invade forces of Halcyon and the Fourth Empire in this 3D shoot 'em up. This remastered version has upgraded graphics with double the resolution of the original for a more pleasing aesthetic.

Altered Beast - Summoned from the dead by Zeus, players in Altered Beast must shape shift into various beasts and fight off hordes of demons to rescue the captured Athena from the clutches of Neff. Offers local co-op multiplayer.

This is an Extra Bullet

The SEGA 3D Classics Collection will be released at a value price of $29.99/CA$44.99 for the Nintendo 3DS system in stores and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS, with retail packaging that features original artwork by Pokémon art director, Ken Sugimori.

I should've read this yesterday. I missed out on Nikki. ;_;

So what do you do exactly? Just hit left and right on the dpad until something falls?

Okay Nintendo Badge Arcade, you win.  I'll pay you real money so I can see the Moon from Majora's Mask greet me every time boot up my 3DS.

Does the 3DS eShop ever do sales on DLC? More specific, was there ever a sale for Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies Special Episode?
Not for that specific game but there have been some very occasional sales. Moon episodes 2 through 4 were on sale once (for about $7 total) several months ago. Also, some of the Atlus titles will have sales on DLC during the first two weeks of the game's release - the DLC will be free during that time period. The only problem is it is done directly through the game itself, so you need the game to get the sale DLC. So you can't, say, buy it on the eshop before you have the game then have it ready when you get the game.

Huh, too bad I don't speak the language. Detective Pikachu... seems like a game that isn't needed and will be poorly rated.

On that note, slightly saddened by the general reviews for Final Fantasy. Was a day 1 buy for me. Now.. eh... I think I'll wait. I don't need a grindy game when there's about 100000 others on the system that do it better.

Did they ever fix the Zero Escape bug that wipes your progress though?
US eshop version no longer has the bug (Edit: bug was "addressed" by disabling saving in the area that most commonly caused it). Not sure about PAL.

Great game. I would be all over this in a heartbeat if someone didn't get it for me for Christmas.

I don't think so, but the good thing about the digital version is that you can use your 3DS to back up your save periodically.

I'm still bitter that Aksys tricked me into buying the game before September 3, 2013 by claiming that $24.99 was a two-week sale when it actually turned out to be the game's normal price. :whistle2:x

EDIT: Here's another link about that supposed "special release pricing." But more importantly, the comments there indicate that the save bug wasn't properly fixed. So, if you buy the digital version, I highly recommend using the 3DS's save backup feature to be safe.

I heard about that. Just in case though, do you know what area(s) are most prone to the glitch?

The Project X Zone 2 demo is out. There are bonuses for clearing it up to 10 times and the enemies get harder in every playthrough.

Not that it helps,

New Badge Arcade theme today.  The Animal Crossing turtles Island (and family badges).  3 new Poke-themed sets today as well including Pikachu in outfits.

Final Fantasy Explorers is ok.  Bit like Monster Hunter.  Not quite hooked yet.  Probably a solid B1G1 in the future though.

And they're all kind of bland. I've never seen a theme for sale that is cool enough to make me want to replace the awesome Monster Hunter theme the theme store was giving away for free at one point.
I'm using that one because I'm cheap and most of them have been pretty weak.
