There are a few new features like the salad bar and little events happening during levels (for instance, clicking on tables to put up umbrellas before it rains), but it plays pretty much exactly the same as the earlier games. They even simplified the matching of the customers to the colored seats. In DD5, every group will match the color configuration of one of the tables, so you know longer have to strategize about where to seat people.
