Yeah i picked up on 12 of them this week, throughout 2 different stores. If everybody knows about this already then blah, I'm sorry. Just trying to help the fellow CAGs who didnt. Sorry for any inconvenience if that is the problem.

At my store it's 4 for $20 on PVD's $9.99 and below, and 3 for $20 on $14.99 and below. The 3 for $20 is a decent deal, but most of the 4 for $20 are just crap.
I picked up Children of Men, Casino Royale, and The Departed for $20. They were all in mint condition, overstock I guess.
Only major problem is Blockbuster doesn't have the inserts or anything in the cases, and sometimes they get single disc editions instead of special editions. But I believe COM just got a special edition (or hasn't yet?), Bond was the SE, and Departed as well (at least in my store).

Also the cases they are packaged in suck. Ask if they have any extra, regular amarays. If they aren't too busy I bet they can find a few for the movies you just bought. Then they are practically new.

This deal's been going on for a couple of years now.

Unfortunately, all the Blockbusters in Northern Michigan have closed and turned into "Family Video" stores. Their deals are a just a little bit more than Blockbuster...3 for $21 for most used movies.

Deals are spotty here, I'll check the pre-owned next time I'm in there but all the stores here are franchise instead of corporate, so they're unpredictable.
i hate buying there used dvds. they been rented a billion times plus no inserts.
I'm fine with not having the inserts. It all depends on which store you deal with when it comes to the condition of the disks and the movie it is because if it's something that's not rented often the disk will be in like new condition. I've bought many movies from them that were pristine and some that look like crap but you can always return them to get a better copy if you don't like condition of the disk.

Yeah, I know about that. A few of the Blockbusters around where I work have closed up since Family Video is outpricing them with rentals. Why pay $2.99 for a old movie rental when you can get it for $1 there. Games are $7.99 at Blockbuster and $5.59 at Family Video. Which one would you choose when you're on a budget?

Honestly the only problem I have with Family Video is when buying the DVDs. Most of the time, it's just the standard edition, which was a pain for Batman Begins & Superman Returns(bought them anyway since it was about $10 cheaper than any other price). If it says 2 disc set, ask them before buying, they do carry the extra discs behind the counter. Found that out when I bought Star Wars Episode III around this time last year.

i just got a 5$ off 20$ coupon emailed to me from blockbuster cause im a total access reward member. most of the 4 for 20s arnt that good although i did see clerks 2 in the deal the other day. might have to pick some up with my coupon.
