50% Off Select Blu-ray Movies At Amazon

Nice! Thanks OP.

Picked up Kingdom of Heaven and B13 . :D

Has anyone seen The War Within? Sounds pretty good and I need to find something else to pick up with One Last Thing.

Yeah seemed like some decent titles. I grabbed 5th Element and Kingdom of Heaven. My first BR movies.
not too many titles...still deciding on what else to order along with res evil
Black Hawk Down is great for something to really show off what Blu-ray can do. It has amazing picture quality and sound.

i dont think ive ever seen that movie.. ill keep it mind for next time..

picked up res evil and xmen(i was going to get this sooner or later).

too bad prestige is not on this list

Ordered Ice Age: Meltdown, Transporter 1 and 2, Black Hawk Down, Kingdom of Heaven, and Alien vs Predator. A couple of these I have on DVD but I just can't resist. Plus it works with the extra 10% off. Great deal.

The extra 10% off is over for NEW people to that deal though, correct?

I was tempted to stack these on top of the PS3 rebate, but nothing I REALLY want that badly.

Well this is a fantastic deal! I just got Xmen and Black Hawk Down for $35 shipped. With the Mail and Rebate it should end up being $25! I am still thinking about getting Kiss of the Dragon or Kingdom of heaven...

I went ahead and ordered The War Withing and One Last Thing. I really liked One Last Thing and while I wouldn't tell people to blind buy it I highly recommend giving it a rent.

I wish Goal was included in the sale.

My thoughts exactly. I'm a sucker for a sports movie.

Thanks much OP. Picked up RE:A, Kung Fu Hustle, House of Flying Daggers, and the Marine. Even sweeter since my 10% is still going. Man it's going to blow when that year is up. Picked up Casino Royale as well, even though it's not 50% off.

Unreal that at 50% off, movies are still $19.99......Now I remember why I dont own any BD's..

BHD is a bargain at $14.95, but only if you didn't buy any of the previous..3..4..5 releases of the movie! :p

I hope you you dont buy any HD DVD combo discs either.

Thanks for the heads up. I was glad to see this. I have been wanting Fantastic Four and Transporter 1 and 2, but could not justify $25+. Snagged those plus Kingdom of Heaven, District B-13, Ice Age 2 and Casino Royale. My HD-DVD collection is in danger of being surpassed by my blu-ray collection.
What is this 10% deal that everybody's talking about?
In 2006 if you bough a HD DVD or BD player OR 3 BDs or 3 HD DVDs then you get 10% off of BDs and HD DVDs until the end of '07

Anybody have the list of movies in the PS3 coupon pack? I have the coupons but they aren't with me at the moment so I don't know what to choose.

this is a decent deal. i'm considering black hawk down for $13.50, but it is kind of a joke to call this a 50% off deal when most of the movies listed are $19.99 and can normally be found for $19.99 - $24.99 anyway. now, the few for $14.99, that's nice. hopefully we can get a similar deal for hd-dvd...that format tends to have better movies.

it just sucks that the rebate deal involves cutting up the original package, something i absolutely will not do.

Not really, go look at deepdiscount.com and you'll see that almost all of the Amazon prices are much lower, even though it's not 50%.

I ended up getting Kung Fu Hustle and Tears of the Sun for $29 shipped.
Not really, go look at deepdiscount.com and you'll see that almost all of the Amazon prices are much lower, even though it's not 50%.
i wasn't specific enough. what i meant was that most of these specific movies could normally be purchased within that price range from amazon under normal circumstances. put another way, if they would have labeled this sale by how much you save over amazon's normal prices instead of msrp (which is complete bs anyway...$40 for a movie?), the real discount percentage would be much less...i would guess that it would range from 10% to 25%. still not bad, but much less misleading than saying 50% off. i clicked that link expecting a few $9.99 titles since there are several movies that normally sell for $19.99.

360 fanboys start pointing at this as another "nail" in the PS3's coffin in 3....2.....1.......

OMG BluRay movies are already 50% off THEY'RE SCREWED!!! 360 RULZ!!!! :hot::hot:

Well, I'm in. Ordered X-Men 3, Transporter, Kingdom of Heaven, and Rising Sun. Got a few of these during the Fry's B1G1 Free sale, or basically $9.99/each which was VERY cool. ;)

Am I the only person who REALLY enjoyed the first Transporter movie, but thought the 2nd one was so rediculous... it wasn't even fun to watch?

Just picked up X-Men 3 and Tears of the Sun. $31.01 for the two after 10% off (I bought an HD-A1 from Amazon last November). My BD collection is starting to catch up with my HD-DVD collection (both of which are still pitifully small). I'm trying to show some restraint and not buy every BD and HD-DVD that I find on sale, just that ones that I'm likely to watch more than once. I just got Phantom of the Opera on HD-DVD and Open Season on BD from my local CompUSA, which is shutting down. Thanks, OP!
