7 inch Android 4.0 tablet $69.99

People actually buy these crap??

Well if I was gonna buy a crappy android tablet I rather buy this one

Chinese bootlegs! Almost as good as the real product, but with false gold instead of real gold to make burning out extra quick!

I own this tablet, well not this exact tablet but the guts are identical exept mine has 8GB. It runs ICS fine with few hickups and handles 1080p MKVs better and smoother than my dualcore tegra 2 phone. I did flash android 2.3.4 on it on friday night and i have to say the UI is not as pretty but its hella smoother over all. I paid $100 at walmart.com and have no regrets. At this price, if you want something porn on the crapper ;-) or netflix or just browsing this is good cheapo to have around.

Thanks for the feedback. I may pick one up now. I already have an iPad 3, but this would be nice for the crapper as you said haha.

LOL, 800x480 resolution = garbage. This thing probably looks like garbage. The Kindle Fire has 1024x600, and Nexus 7 will have 1280x800. Forget this kind of low-res cheap junk.

Its a 7" screen dude so that res at that size is fine and far from garbage.

Ehh I agree with the other dude, get a Nexus 7 instead.

Some times you really do get what you pay for...

can you access the normal android market (or google play or whatever the hell they call it now) from this tablet out of the box, or would I need to flash it?

would prefer that I don't need to flash it, since I might brick it

I had to flash Google apps on it. Also, yes if you have the other $130 then deffinately wait for nexus tablet. Bummer no micro SD card on nexus though.

To add to that, Gapps isn't hard to flash or dangerous. It's not like flashing the entire OS, all it does is basically install a bunch of Google apps as system apps so there shouldn't be any way to brick a device by just flashing Gapps.

Yes, flashing Gapps is easy and not risky. That said, the reviews on SD for this tablet mention Google Play should come preloaded on it with the OS.

Also, as nice as the Nexus looks, it is also 3 times as much as this tablet. So while to some the $200 Nexus is cheap, to others it might be out of their price range. From all reviews, this sounds like a pretty decent cheap Android tablet at a fair price for what you get and without the brand mark up similar ones sold in the states have.

I think my first computer had more RAM than this thing..good luck when this starts crawling with two apps open (of course I lie, my first computer probably had 4mb of RAM )

I guarantee the Nexus is at least 3 times better than this tablet.

Android is the shit, but these things are always just shit. Please, do everyone a favor and just get the nexus

As I stated I have similar tablet than this and it can handle about 6 apps running in background before you notice any sluggish behavior. Also, my first pchad 17mb of ram and a 7gb hdd lol.

Yeah, my first PC had 8MB of RAM.

Also for the people insisting this is crap, Android OS is made to run on phones and tablets, many of which have much worse specs than this.

I have an Optimus V and it runs Android just fine on a blazing 600 MHZ, albeit a different version.

Is it as "good" as the iPhone or the latest HTC phone? Of course not, but it fits my budget and what I need just fine. I think some people tend to be spoiled and don't get the concept that not everyone can get the latest and greatest just because.
i wouldnt buy this.... but let me know if someone does. curious
The old adage applies: you get what you pay for. The worst thing I see with this cheap knockoff is a dismally low-res 800x480 screen. My 2-year-old cellphone has 854x480 res on a 4.3" screen, the Kindle Fire has 1024x600 on 7", and Google Nexus 7 will have 1280x800 on 7". 800x480 is junk, especially on a screen this size.

Other "specs" are weak too; if you really want a tablet, save your money for a Nexus 7 or Kindle Fire 2. These junk Chinese knockoff tablets just aren't worth it.

Gawd I feel old. My first computer, cutting edge at the time, had 4k of ram.

I hear ya.

So I recently bought one of these budget tabelets, the YourPad P4...its been weeks and I still havn't gotten it, lol. I got it at $125 and comparing to this, its better; but damn this one has a front facing camera, which makes thousands of times more sense than a rear facing one!! I think I'll have some fun with my dremel once I get my hopefully not shitty YourPad...hell, at least the name isn't all fast foody like this McPad

Thats the same resolution as everyone fanboy favorite, the ipad 2; and like meta said, on this size of a screen it really does not matter. Do you have some kind of super human eyesight or something?

EDIT: I'm a misinformed idiot, but point still stands.

Android OS has games...many might use this as a "gaming" tablet....even though I shudder at those words...

Seriously considering getting this for my girlfriend. She uses my Touchdroid to read on the kindle and for basic web browsing and I really haven't been able to get my hands on it since she started that 50 Shades of Grey garbage. Seems like this would work fine enough for what she'd use it for.

Are you insane? IPad 2 has 1024x768 res, not this crappy 800x480 junk. IPad 3 has 2048x1536 res. This cheap Chinese knockoff will look like crap, plain and simple.

But by all means pick one up and let us know how great it is.

Probably a good idea, for the price and what it'll be used for, it'd be just fine. Especially if that means you'll get yours back

My mistake, I don't know why I was confused on the resolution; but regardless 800x480 is not horrendous at 7-inches. And are you stupid? I said I already bought a different budget tablet, but I guess on forums all that matters is what is said under your lame quote box.

Well in like 2 weeks I'll either be thrilled to have my Touchdroid back, or learning how to curse in Mandarin. Wish me Luck! (you know its bad news when your banking on luck with a purchased item)

if it was $20 @ BB using a coupon people would be all over this thread would be 50+ pages 900+ replies

OT I'd say look for refurb/open box tablets of betting quality that come with a warranty for $40 - $50 more.

That's $50 less and immediate gratification. Of course people would be all over it!

"Gee, if that new fangled Wii was a fiver people would love it!"...really! lol

2 pages and no one's brought up the START MAGIC LIFE ANYWHERE watermark on the MC Blub site? They're all but guaranteeing that if you buy this thing, it'll get you laid. $70's a lot cheaper than a hooker, and most of them don't have Kindle support. Child support maybe, but not Kindle support.

Sorry for the serious necrobump

So this came in the mail the other day. Came in a nice air-tube packing container to keep it safe. So its not super fast or flashy by any means, but it is a perfect e-reader and light web browser for my girlfriend. So far a big success, she can read her girl porn book on a device she finds preferable (my Touchdroid was took big and heavy for long reading sessions) and I can have my Touchdroid back. Now I just need to upgrade from CM7 but I am worried about doing it myself and messing it up
