A decent laptop for . . . ?

HelloI want to get a laptop but I dont know where to start.I wont be playing FPS on it but maybe a game like phantasy star universe.Other than that I will just be surfing and watching videos.I want like 2 gb of ram and a decent size hard drive.I dont mind getting a low end laptop and buy better parts to add on but idk if i can just throw a 4gb ram card on any laptop.

I want 1 that I will be able to upgrade when certain parts go on sale,like ram/graphic cards.I dont want to waste money on alienware laptop
