Btw...just a heads up for anyone buying the Cabela game just for the gun...  It only works with the Cabela games.  (i.e. the game doesn't have PS Move support, and the gun is basically a wii remote with a sensor bar in the shape of a gun...so it won't work with any PS Move on-rails shooters on the ps3, for example).

So...err...ya...the gun is pretty much useless outside of the game (which I'm playing with a dualshock, anyway)...  If you're buying it, buy it for the game, not the gun.

I remember buying a Cabelas game for $5 with the gun during that Best Buy black Friday blowout a couple years ago.

If only the gun worked on me after playing it for 10 minutes.

I actually went back and bought the vita version of Angry Birds Star Wars today. The controls on the vita version are a bit annoying just because it tries to give too many options, but they're all active at once.

You can basically use the back touch screen, the front touch screen, or the joystick and buttons (or a combo of those). The problem comes when you end up going where you don't want to (like launching a bird backwards) or triggering your special powers at the wrong time or in the wrong direction because you accidentally bump the edge of the back touch screen or something. Or trying to get the front touch screen to launch because it also scrolls and zooms out (sometimes it would work to launch the birds, sometimes it was unresponsive). The best combo I found is using the back touch screen to launch the birds and the front one to trigger special powers, but it's still easy to botch it occasionally.
