Advice on Digital Cameras

Whats up everyone?


I'm in the market to pick up a digital camera for my girlfriend's birthday and I am completely clueless on which ones are the ones to get. She wants something with 10 megapixels and that doesnt have (if possible) that delay while shooting the pictures which makes you miss shots as a result. I would like to find something about $200 max. But if there is something better for a bit more by all means let me know. I really would appreciate any and all info you guys may have on this! Thanks!

i bought this for my mom couple of days ago for her birthday, this thing is stunning, it comes with alot of features, 7 mp, 3 op zoom, 5 digital, it also come s with a memory card.

as far as the no delay thing you pretty much have to get a DSLR I think. I know even my last camera which was quite good would occasionally miss shots because it was doing whatever it does. DSLR is way out of your budget though.

I found a list of shutter lag times here. It's a UK website so some of the camera names may be different. It doesn't say but I'm guessing the time is in seconds.
