"Aegis Wing" is a 2-D side-scrolling space shooter that combines epic space combat with fantastic visuals, and is set to a rich symphonic soundtrack. It is set in the year 2105, when humanity must flee a dying Earth for the distant world Europa. But this new home is soon threatened by a powerful alien race, the Araxia. With stolen Araxian technology, the Europa fleet develops an experimental star fighter and assigns four ace pilots to test it. The full version of "Aegis Wing" is being released on Xbox LIVE Arcade free of charge and will be available for a limited time.

Game Features

Game features include the following:

· Amazing environmental art
· Full symphonic soundtrack
· Up to four-player simultaneous cooperative multiplayer gameplay, either locally on the same Xbox 360 console or over Xbox LIVE*
· Ability to attach your ship to your wingmen's spacecraft to gain the "turret" ability and increase the firepower of the Super Weapons
· Four Super Weapons: the Hades Beam (wreaks total destruction), the Gorgon Burst (wipes out incoming fire and disables enemy spacecraft with an electromagnetic pulse), the Arcus Missile (a heat-seeking missile) and the Lambda Shield (deflects incoming fire back at enemies)
· Six epic missions and several memorable boss encounters to fight through

Siliconera noticed this game in the ESRB a few months back, I guess this explains the fate. probably a project in progress that encountered a few bumps, like Texas holdem.
 
So this and Solitaire are coming out Wednesday.. so now I guess if we DID purchase Solitaire AND this.. it WOULD work out to be "400 points each"..right? :)

Well I've always really liked it, but 800 points is kinda disgusting. But I have 11,380 (atm) with 4,000 on the way. I'll def dl the demo of it though..

Nooo! I'll def use them all eventually! Getting free DLC is great! AKA Marvel Ultimate Alliance Heroes/Villian Pack, the Crackdown pack... XBLA games since Worms.. all free :D

if it's good, I'd get it. That's all.. since I'm not really using my money.
But back on topic. I just hope it's a good shmup too, but not insanely difficult!

Definertly going to get it when it comes out, sadly didnt have a 360 back when it was free, but I guess here's another chance for a free xbla game ^_^

Kotaku is reporting that this game was actually made by Microsoft (though somewhere else is saying they were Carbonated Games) Interns this semester. Pretty neat.
