How did you get $900 amazon credit? Did you buy it off of someone? Cause if you did, they might have gotten it illegally and you might be out of luck.

yea i bought it from someone and i told them if the gift card was the problem than to give me the account back and keep they can keep the gift card u know , im a amazon prime member so i just want my account because its easy to buy my games

if the problem is the gift card and something is wrong with it.. amazon will close the account the gift card will always be tied to your account... maybe tell them to let you open up a new account and transfer the prime to it

just call them simple as that

i call them and they always say that i have to wait for an account specialist and now the account specialist never replies i still got the recipt of the gift cards that i bought i paid them off with my paypal account

basically, you got ripped off aka scammed. how much did you pay for $900 of credit? if you're going to buy something of credit from someone, use it quick otherwise this will happen. I don't condone it but honestly if the deal was too good to be true, it was and that is why I never buy credit from people when it's an obvious difference.

I'm sure your recent activity has set off at least one flag in their system for potential account issues. Where were these gift cards purchased from? There may be a problem with the cards and you will then need to file a Paypal dispute for the purchase of the fraudulent Amazon credit.

Change the thread title. Amazon didn't rip you off. I'd be wary of your account activity as well and I would have done the same thing. They are most likely looking into the issue now and will respond when they have more information.

As mentioned above. a call to Amazon will be more helpful than whining to CAG.

And a little common sense goes a long way in this world.

That's why your account was suspended. Go call Amazon and talk with them, if your emails aren't being answered.

I could never picture myself buying credit off eBay, especially in such a large amount. Too many scammers on there.

And your thread title was clearly misleading, but it was fortunately changed.

Yowza. You bought $900 in Amazon credit off eBay?!

Like others mentioned, it was probably stolen/obtained illegally. It probably threw a flag, and they're going to look into it (and probably close the account).

You better give them a call quick. How long has it been since you got it on eBay? Got a link to the auction?

last time i ever got a gift card off ebay was when i got

1 year of netflix for like 120 for 3 at a time .... or course the thing was a scam and it screwed up my netflix account.

Never buy giftcards off ebay

I wouldnt be shocked if amazon comes back and trys to collect the money you already spent

It sounds like the orders were never completed. That sucks though. I don't know what recourse you would have other than trying to go through ebay, but don't even bother contacting the seller. He should be long gone by now.

If it turns out to be a scam, which is sounds like, and you get nothing back, just chalk it up as a slap in the face lesson. Once in a while we need that slap to remind us that not everything can be as good as it seems.

by the time netflix found out the buyer used a ripped off credit card, the seller closed out their paypal account and paypal said there was nothing that could be done.... Paypal would not do anything until i told them i would sue .... Paypal for some reason gave me 100 back (didnt get the entire 120)

i thought 100 was better then nothing so i didnt push it

well this is the thing i bought different gift card of different amounts like one was 180 dollars the other one was 200 and like that , one was 500 but they were from different sellers i think one if the gift cards is wat trigger this so i ask amazon nicely to tell me wat is the amount of the gift card that was having the problem is it the whole 900 or the 200 or wat and i ask them all i want is the account back they can keep the 900 if it was illegaly bought u know

If they were stolen goods (purchased Amazon account with a stolen credit card, etc.) they won't let you just "keep" the credit.

Where some links to the auctions?

Slap in the face? Maybe if it was $20. This is more like a kick in the nuts.

It's more like a kick in the nuts with an egg in your mouth and then a slap in the face.

I feel for you. I got scammed a long time ago on ebay too. Live and learn from it. If the deal is too good to be true, it usually is. I agree with the others to call amazon and explain to them what happened.
