Just a regular price drop for a limited time... I believe it lasted a couple hours or so... Klonoa was another title that was $9.98 also.

Yeah, because I was asleep and I really want that game, but not at $30 (because that's only $10 off the original MSRP).
 
I don't like this set up. I loved last year and knowing what I was waking up for at 3:00AM EST. Well, Amazon has only rarely let me down, so I trust them.

kinda unfair that some of us are dying out here because it's so early in the morning and the PST people are just staying up like it's an average day..I feel like going to sleep but once I do I'm never waking up even if an alarm clock tells me to..

but if I do go to sleep can I take a print screen of the price and item and just PM it at walmart? this takes little effort and I can literally do this in my sleep

I'm wondering how the lightning deal works. Earlier today I ordered Left 4 Dead 2 listed as 34.99, but once I ordered it it showed up as $39.99. A little later I called Amazon and they told me that I ordered it when the lightning deal was over. When I ordered it, the bar said that only 68% were claimed and it said claimed in bold italics below that with the price still listed as 34.99. I believe that they tried to convince me that it was sold out, but the system didn't catch up with the orders or some BS like that.

Anyway, it was all sorts of confusing, but I got them to give it to me for 34.99...

It could be that it was sold out and the bar lagged behind. I was watching the Killzone 2 deal at $30 and it didn't update for about 3-4 minutes. When it finally updated, it showed 82% claimed.

Hmmmmm, did you check your local BBY? I think someone mentioned that some BBYs had DotNW in the bargain bin for $15 a couple of days ago. Of course, it's highly unlikely that you'll find it now that it's BF, but hey, you can always check if you happen to go to one.

everyone needs to chill out with the whole "not fair" thing. it's called a time zone, we've all had to deal with it through good & bad for a long time now. when it's midnight at the Amazon HQ, it'll be "midnight" on their website. make sense? I think so. ;)

(P.S. the 999+ trick doesn't seem to be working anymore? unless they have a WHOLE LOT of everything.)

Just curious, but what did people grab from Amazon last year during BF? I recall ordering Fable 2 ($40), Boom Blox ($20), Too Human ($20) and Spore PC ($20).
