oh well, i was hoping there wouldn't be anything good tomorrow because i
have to work. I have off monday though! Here's hoping Amazon has something good then!

what's weird is that this is on he top of the page:

"Black Friday Deals Week in GamesShop Video Games Lightning Deals through November 30, 2009. Check back often to get the best deals before they’re gone. Daily deals are already underway."

Maybe we'll see something later int he day or possibly on Monday...
There's no room for me to add "Farty Crying Babbies"
Oh to hell with you.

People are rightfully disappointed. The deals were mediocre at best, and of limited quality/variety.

Seriously. Worst Black Friday year since Amazon started doing Black Friday deals.
Here's hoping "A must-have for any Trekkie" is Star Trek (2009) on Blu-Ray.
Where are you seeing this? I'd love to get that.

Nevermind I see it. Hope thats the blu ray.

They do have Dragon Age: Origins (XBOX/PS3) for $39.99, not bad for those that missed the $34.99 price point earlier or at BB.

Yet if you go to the main video game page, there's still a banner for the lightning deals now through Cyber Monday; and right under that, they're still advertising "High-Voltage Black Friday Lightning deals"

But I also noticed there's no new tweets
I still can not believe I stayed up for this. The recession has made Amazon stingy this year.
They weren't stingy leading up to Black Friday.

Well, this is a crock of shit. They didn't have to make it sound like they were going to have game deals tonight.

And the best they could do is a DotD priced 14 dollars higher than it was previously.

Okay, the list of PS3 games on sale went from 55 this evening to 25 after 12:00 AM.
Bummer, where are the deals on Ratchet and Clank? Assassins Creed 2? God of War Collection? Modern Warfare 2? Well thanks for raising Afro Samurai's price at least, Amazon. If anyone finds ANY single video game that actually went down in price, let the rest of us CAGs know :(
Anyways CAG

How is that collectors Edition for that price?
Yay or Nay?
Honestly I think that is one of the worst collector's editions I've gotten but I guess for 10 dollars more than the normal one it's alright.
Here's hoping "A must-have for any Trekkie" is Star Trek (2009) on Blu-Ray.
It's under software, I very much doubt that it's the movie.

I love the attitudes here. "Stuff was significantly less than it normally goes for, But not ENOUGH significantly less"

Free shipping and no tax, and not camping outside of a store for 12 hours automatically makes it better. And discounts are discounts. Even if they aren't aren't the 80% off or whatever you were hoping for, they're still cheaper than you'll probably see many of them again any time soon.

This. I made some purchases. Meaning some games will be coming to me in the mail. Games I didn't have before. Games I got for less than I would've bought them any other time.

This means Black Friday was good.

Disappointed that I didn't see any Amazon video game deals, but I have hopes for later. I only have to stay up until 12:00 am, which isn't too bad.

Well, what were we supposed to expect after the precedence Amazon set last year? I think most people were just hoping for them to keep up with their own standard. And while it's great the PM'ed everybody, a lot of stores this year had their deals online so it wasn't even that necessary..

it was a weak BF for games across the board. I'd imagine that companies ran lower inventory levels due to the economy, leading to less surplus and therefore fewer blowout sales. Don't forget that Circuit City and KB Toys both closed their doors this year, leaving us with fewer retailers to increase competition.

You also have fewer major releases this fall, as almost everything wanted to get out of MW2 and AC2's way... This led to fewer promotional discounts from publishers.

It's not like Amazon just sat back and said " You know what, fuck gamers this year!"

I picked up dirt cheap versions of GTA IV, Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, MGS 4, Tales, FF7 Crisis Core, a PS3 with two kickass free games, a ton of movies, and a quesadila maker!

I don't see why people are complaining. There were lots of good deals on games this week.

*sigh* NOT going to buy the Batman AA CE at this price!!!

I don't care if it sells out.

I AM HUGELY Disappointed 3 days ago (BEFORE Damn Black Friday, when NObody was looking) Amazon had a better price, and when it's actually BF Amazon put the price HIGHER.

BS sales strategy! BOO!!!

"Hey guys, the chance to pay retail price or prices higher from the day before is such an opportunity. I don't understand why people are so disappointed."

Oh, CAG

The B2G1 free deal they had earlier this year easily beat/match 95% of the deals they are offering.

Of that, most deals are actually significantly worse than their competitors' deals online.

You're just wrong. They really didn't come through this year.

Exactly, I was expecting some $5 games this year since they had a ton of $5 games last year. Older games that they wanted to get rid of.
