Oh to hell with you.

People are rightfully disappointed. The deals were mediocre at best, and of limited quality/variety.

Seriously. Worst Black Friday year since Amazon started doing Black Friday deals.
For games I'd agree but for other stuff as a whole, Amazon dusted everyone else.
I love the attitudes here. "Stuff was significantly less than it normally goes for, But not ENOUGH significantly less"

Free shipping and no tax, and not camping outside of a store for 12 hours automatically makes it better. And discounts are discounts. Even if they aren't aren't the 80% off or whatever you were hoping for, they're still cheaper than you'll probably see many of them again any time soon.
I completely agree. When I more or less get two awesome games for 10 dollars more than I would have gotten one of them since they were both $35 that's a damn good deal if you ask me. I spent a little more than $150 and got 5 games and 2 TV seasons so you won't hear me complaining about the deals anytime soon.

What was the deal with "over 300 games on sale" shit? There was no way there was that many games on sale this BF.

How was this Black friday bad? Between thurs and friday i picked up Batman AA for 20 after discover card discount, NBA 2K10 for 25, The bigs 2 for 10, Dragon age and NFS shift for 35, and call of juarez 2 for 20. Thats a grand total of 145 dollars for games that would normally retail for 320 dollars! Thats less than half price. SHEESH you people are totally ungreatful.

lol at 3am (12 pacific) there were only 6 items in the $10 or less section. now there are 5.

maybe there clearing space on there digital shelf to put out the real deals?

Oh yeah...
Maybe that includes Cyber Monday? Can't recall the exact wording on the dates.

No idea really. Combined with Bing CB, other stores had my attention on those departments.

I don't have a discover card. A LOT of people don't have a discover card. I don't recall seeing NBA 2K10 as part of the BF sale. NHL 2K10, yes. I picked up The Bigs 2. NFS Shift/DAO at 35 is mediocre at best. Call of Juarez 2 for 20 is a very normal price. It's listed at $19.99 at many stores. For a BF deal, it's downright terrible.

Retail for 320 dollar? Keep telling yourself that.

I loved Amazon price matching all these B&M stores but I miss the exclusive deals they had last year. Though I am happy I got Klonoa for $10.

All I wanted was Little King's Story. That's all Amazon. Pleeeeassse.
The B2G1 free deal they had earlier this year easily beat/match 95% of the deals they are offering.

Of that, most deals are actually significantly worse than their competitors' deals online.
Funny, every game I bought was 50% or more off of the normal price.
50% > 33%

Maybe you just suck at this?
You're just wrong. They really didn't come through this year.
I fail to see how they didn't come through. A bunch of games half off? I'll take it. Sure not as strong as last year, but it still made alot of people happy.
Because the removal of the "Come back tomorrow for more deals" wasn't enough of a clue lol. I feel bad for you people who stayed up.

Go to bed!
This going to bed is a good idea at this point, for what it's worth though: Assassin's Creed II dropped by a few dollars. Still not a good deal though.

I think they had better deals on recently released games this year but last year they had pages and pages of insanely priced games for every system and a ton of blu rays at much better prices than this year. This year was just good in a different way. Stay positive.
I'm a bit disappointed, but I'm not going to bitch about it.
Why not? That's the best part.
Exactly, I was expecting some $5 games this year since they had a ton of $5 games last year. Older games that they wanted to get rid of.
That's pretty much all I was hoping for too. These $30-40 new games or $15-20 old games that were extremely popular aren't really that great, I love the cheap impulse games that I wouldn't have necessarily bought otherwise. Last year I got 5 or 6 games for the price of one new one, and I was hoping to do the same this year.

thats how i am. i'm looking to fill my catalog with games like bioshock and mass effect since their sequels are coming out soon, along with other old games. i have no reason to believe people are still buying ac/dc rock band packs and banjo kazooie n&b, but there they still sit at $20

People, NOBODY here buy this Batman AA CE for $65!

NOBODY!!!!!

It was $50 3 days go and they couldn't go above and beyond on actual BF?!

We need to send Amazon a message!!!
amazon has jaded my bargain hunting tastes. I want my dang PSP go for 149 and Fallout 3 GOTY for 25!
I did find it interesting that Sony didn't do any bundles or discounts on the psp Go, even though sales have been soft on it.

Makes me think that Sony really is just experimenting with the Go, testing the waters with a more understated launch..

I think the biggest problem here is expectations.

Many here are happy with what Amazon has offered. The PMs were amazing. I did get some excellent deals.

The problem is the standard Amazon has set. Cags last year experiencec unique deals from Amazon. These same cags probably didn't care much for other deals which Amazon PMed; they were waiting for the 5-15 randoms...

And to top it off, Amazon stated 300+ deals and have we even had 100? Yes the weekend is long and lets hope for unique amazon deals like last year.

I really hope they have more deals this weekend. I resisted buying a bunch of Blu-Ray's (which have now gone up in price) so I could get some good deals on games this weekend. :(

The diggest disapointment was the complete lack of psp games and only a few ds games. The DS is the biggest video games device in this country and they gave it NO love

Yeah. I was also looking for BKNB and Viva Pinata 2 both at maybe $10. My girlfriend LOVES the first, but I really can't justify $20 for the slight improvements..
Aw damn dawg, cheapy, you gettin' called out!
Nah, I just figure if anybody knows what amazon is up to its him. Even though they seem to be much less cooperative this year.

Another problem with the expecation is I (Likely majority of people) didn't expect a deal to be actually BETTER BEFORE Black Friday!!!

Price that 3 DAYS before BF was actually better???? Who expected that?

I think Amazon set the bar on themselves, though, with some of the deals offered leading up to BF-- the $30 Tekken 6 LE? the "early Black Friday" weekend 3 weeks ago where pretty much all of the deals offered that day beat what they had on the actual BF? The various b2g1/b$80g$40/etc deals? All better (as a whole) than what we saw today.

Sure, there were some good sales here and there, but by teasing us with SPECTACULAR sales, Amazon set expectations up pretty high, and missed the bar entirely. (That's not to say I didn't pick up some stuff-- I did, but mostly Blurays and the Beatles box set as a gift for my mom-- that was a nice surprise to get for $99, to be sure.) But my point is, Amazon provided some good deals, but just as with pretty much ALL stores this year, hardly any deals worthy of camping out online for hours at a time. (much less pitching a tent)

Yeah, I'm pretty shocked with the utter lack of ANY PSP deals for the most part. You'd think they would push the regular ones too. I think it was a big mistake for them not to have some sort of bundle like the Mario DSi - a PSP Go with a few downloaded games included for the same price as a normal PSP Go. I have one more $30 console coupon and I would have considered getting one if they had offered that.

But I was also looking for some sort of PSP 3000 deal. Nothing...

Metal Gear Solid 4 dropped back to $20 (it was $20 before it was a $15 lightning deal, then went up to $30).

I think everyone is being very mysterious about the upcoming deals, i mean we obviously know it's not over, im sure cheapy knows something !

This. Was really looking for some PSP stuff since I rarely ever use mine.

Also WTF was up with Dragon Age being on an amazing sale for consoles but not on PC? Made no sense to me. I want the version without the bugs and semi-ok graphics..

I didn't, I didn't expect Amazon to have BETTER prices before BF than actually ON BF(Or the day After BF), but you live & learn, I suppose :(

It makes sense though. The days before Friday were their chance to grab consumers attention. Once Friday rolled around everyone was out at retail. They did hold back until Friday for bigger ticket items: tvs, computers, console bundles, etc

Agreed, I think they really bit themselves on the ass with that one... I held out on a few deals Wednesday-Thursday because I expected better on the actual day of Black Friday.

You Damn right I missed these HOT deals, and I am Pissed they happened BEFORE Black Friday!!! :|

I ended up getting RE 5 for 20 and Killzone 2 for 28. BF probably would have been a lot better for me if I was interested in some of the newer games like DAO. I was really hoping for some older games on the cheap like LBP, Resistance 2, Infamous, and Killzone 2, and only ended up getting one of them for a pretty decent, but not spectacular, price.
