I'm convinced now that Sony is winding things down with the PSP platform. They were incredibly aggressive with manufacturing retailer specific PS3 bundles, pushed first/second party exclusive game sales, and just generally kicked ass with the PS3 this week. Then they did nothing with the PSP. No Little Big Planet sale, No Assassin's creed sale, etc. It's almost as if they are wrapping things up, and getting ready to move on.

Look for a TGS 2010 unveiling of whatever the next generation of handheld will be from them.

Well they did, just not the games you wanted. They had: Ratchet & Clank, MGS 4, GTA 4, Uncharted, Killzone, Fallout 3, and a couple of others if i recall. It was a good week for older PS3 games.

It's been $30 ALL WEEK. Only $4 more off for a LD was pretty bad. If it was $10 off, I would've gotten it.

If there isn't a LD/DotD for this by Tuesday, I'm in the belief that the world will end before a deal happens for it. Also, Amazon bumped the price BACK UP to full retail price. So I imagine the game is outselling everything combined at this point because Amazon never does this.

I am a bit disappointed that this year didn't see all of the 5 and 10 dollar game sales as there were a number of older games I passed up on and wanted to pick up (Banjo Kazooie, Skate 2 and Dead Space as a few examples). Although I was hoping for a deal on Ratchet and Clank TOD and Amazon came through. I really can't complain though, I still made out pretty well. Just seemed that retailers this year shifted focus to discounting new releases instead, probably from limited stock of older titles thanks to the economy. Amazon this year seemed to be more focused on just price matching everyone else rather than setting their own deals, just my opinion though. I will say I really didn't like the week long lightning deal setup.

Haha yeah, didn't mean they didn't offer some older games. Wasn't really a knock on amazon since clearly the list of what I wanted was fairly narrow. Just saying for me it wasn't that great since I wasn't interested in the newer games, and I already have almost all of the older games they offered. Just bad luck on my part is all.

I dunno I'm happy with my PS3 bundle. I'd say Amazon is just reflective of all the retailers. BF has become a beast that is its own event. Stores don't have to knock your socks off to get you in their door because just a decent deal will get people in the door because they want to be a part of it. Makes me think of the Super Bowl how it is so hyped and has almost become its own holiday even though most of the time the game isn't worth a damn

I would have liked to have see some $5-$10 deals like they had last year but I'm more than happy to give my wallet a breather. I got pretty much everything I was hoping for except for AC2, Borderlands, and Uncharted 2. I was wanting to see ODST for $25 - $30 but when it came down to it I guess I didn't want it that badly since I never claimed it. I'm not saying you should bank on it being so amazing you have a heart attack but we do still have Cyber Monday coming up and they could have some of the deals we were all hoping for then.

I paid for Saturday shipping and it's still stuck on "shipping soon." Maybe I'll get a refund on the shipping costs and a gift card on top of that...
